    Der Essay gilt in der Literaturkritik eher als eine Männerdomäne. In der Forschung verweist man aber immer häufiger auf die Andersartigkeit des weiblichen Essays und dessen Abweichung vom Gattungsmuster. Diese Probleme treffen auch auf Erika Manns Schreiben zu. Auch in ihrem Schaffen lassen sich essayistische Merkmale erkennen: die Autorin scheint von anderen publizistischen Formen auszugehen, um schließlich den Essay – im Sinne des Prinzips der gattungsbezogenen Offenheit – anzustreben. Zum Gegenstand der Analyse wurde ein Text gewählt, der E. Manns politisches Engagement offenbart und auf ihre Sensibilität für gesellschaftliche Fragen hindeutet.
    The essay has been thought to be dominated by men. Nowadays, efforts have been made to analyze female essay writing and its differences from the standard model. Erika Mann’s works bear marks of essay writing; the author seems to draw on other forms of journalistic writing in order to eventually reach the form in question with the openness of the genre. The focus of the following article is one of Mann’s unpublished works that proves her involvement in politics and her understanding of contemporary social issues.

    Opis:
    handelt sich um Lexik und Kollokationen, die mit dem Fußball im Zusammenhang stehen. Der Grund dafür ist, dass Fußball heutzutage der populärste Sport in Deutschland ist. Fußball schauen nicht nur die deutschen, sondern auch die ausländischen Zuschauer und in der Bundesliga oder anderen Ligen spielen auch die ausländischen Fußballspieler, die die deutsche Sprache und Fußballausdrücke als Fremdsprache lernen müssen. Die deutsche Sprache, so wie jede Sprache, hat ein System von kombinatorischen Regeln in der Lexik, das spezifisch, also idiosynkratisch ist. Deshalb ist selbstverständlich, dass die festen Wortverbindungen anders strukturiert sind, wie in den anderen Sprachen. Das Ziel des Beitrags ist, einen Vorschlag für ein Glossar der Kollokationen zu erfassen, das die Lexik und Kollokationen dieses Themas auf optimale Art und Weise abdeckt.
    Abstract: The article presents a linguistic analysis of the German vocabulary. We will deal with the lexis and collocations that are related to football. The reason is that football is the most popular sport in Germany today. Football catches the interest not only of German viewers, but also foreign viewers. In the Bundesliga or other leagues in German there are also foreign football players who need to learn the German language and football terms as a foreign language. The German language, like any other language, has a system of combinatorial rules in lexicons that is specific and idiosyncratic. Therefore, collocations are structured differently from other languages. The aim of the article is to create a collocation glossary that optimally covers the lexis and collocations of this subject area.

    Elektrokinetische Untersuchungen und Messungen mitteLs inverser Gaschromatographie erlauben, sowohl die Brönsted- als auch die Lewis-Säure-Base-Eigenschaften von Kohlenstoffaseroberflächen zu untersuchen. Die chemische Zusammensetzung der Kohlenstoffaseroberflächen wurde durch photoelektronenspektroskopische Untersuchungen bestimmt. Der Vergleich der thermodynamischen Messungen mit den spektroskopischen Ergebnissen erlaubte, das reaktiveVerhalten der verschiedenen Faseroberflächen auf molekulare Ursachen zurückzuführen. Es konnte gezeigt werden, daß sich die Kombination spektroskopischer und thermodynamischer Methoden hinsichtlichtlich ihrer Aussagen zur Chemie einer Festkörperoberfläche sinnvoll ergänzen.
    This paper discusses the results of different physico-chemical measuring methods, e.g. inverse gas chromatography and electrokinetic measurements, to estimate the acid-base surface properties of carbon fibres. The discussion has been focused on the changes in the BrOnsted and Lewis acid-base properties after a surface treatment. In addition, photoelectron spectroscopic investigations of carbon fibres, which show the elemental surface composition, are a successful tool to demonstrate the molecular reasons of the thermodynamic surface properties. The combination of different physico-chemical and spectroscopic measuring methods allowed to get comprehensive knowledge of the fibre surface chemistry.

    Petra Reski (born in 1958) is a German writer from the post-war generation. Its representatives confront with dramatic consequences of the Second World War like the loss of homeland, the experience of escape and forced displacement. The article focuses on the Reski’s novel Ein Land so weit in the context of space. The narrator describes a sentimental journey to the home village in Warmia and family past. She documents impressions that combine different time dimensions, generations and memories.
    Petra Reski (urodzona w 1958 roku) jest niemiecką pisarką pokolenia powojennego, które konfrontuje się z dramatycznymi konsekwencjami II wojny światowej takimi jak utrata ojczyzny, doświadczenie ucieczki i wypędzenia. Problematyka artykułu skupia się na powieści pt. Daleki kraj w kontekście kategorii przestrzeni. Narratorka opisuje sentymentalną podróż do rodzinnej wsi na Warmii i przeszłości przodków. Dokumentuje przeżycia powstałe na styku różnych wymiarów czasowych, pokoleń i ich wspomnień.

    As a result of grammaticalisation processes, within various constructions the pronoun es could establish itself as the subject of these constructions. Amongst them, verbs describing the weather constitute a rather small and semantically defined verb subclass. The es-subject is regarded as a peripheral subject realisation with an abstract meaning. Since the ‘weather’ verbs are a verb group firmly anchored in the German verb system, analogous to other constructions, their primary valence varies too. The valence enhancement, i.e. the two- or multi-digit usage, allows the ‘weather’ verbs to be used as verbs of visual perception, verbs of movement, and verba dicendi. Based on the verb regnen ‘to rain’, the article more closely examines the synchronous variability of its valence.

    W 2012 r. austriacki reżyser i scenarzysta JULIAN ROMAN PÖLSLER nakręcił adaptację swej „książki życia”, powieści MARLEN HAUSHOFER Die Wand (Ściana) z 1963 roku. PÖLSLER zamierzał wiernie oddać powieść, zdecydował się wobec tego na zastosowanie metody voice-over. Spowodowało to gruntowną krytykę filmu, który nazwany został „zobrazowanym słuchowiskiem”. Recenzenci twierdzili, że adaptacja nie jest w żadnym stopniu oryginalna. Artykuł przeciwstawia się tym tezom i podkreśla własny wkład reżysera w interpretację powieści. Tekst powieści porównany jest z adaptacją filmową i omówiona jest funkcja różnic między literacką i filmową wersją utworu.
    In 2012 the Austrian screenwriter and film director JULIAN ROMAN PÖLSLER adapted his “life book”, MARLEN HAUSHOFERʼS novel The Wall, first published in 1963, for the screen. Because PÖLSLER wanted to stay faithful to the novel, he decided to use Voice-over, which was strongly criticized. As a result the film was attacked for being merely “a well-illustrated audiobook”. Reviewers claimed the production was devoid of originality. In contrast, the article tries to point to the personal input of the film director in the interpretation of the source text, through a comparison between film and novel; and also analyses the function of differences between film and literary versions in terms of the film’s structure.
    2012 verfilmte der österreichische Drehbuchautor und Regisseur JULIAN ROMAN PÖLSLER sein ‚Lebensbuch‘ Die Wand, MARLEN HAUSHOFERS 1963 erschienenen Roman. Da PÖLSLER sich exakt an die Romanvorlage halten wollte, entschied er sich für den Einsatz des Voice-overs, die ihm massive Kritik seitens der Filmtheoretiker einbrachte. Dem Film wurde in der Folge als ‚Hörbuch mit Bildern‘ jegliche Originalität abgesprochen. Daher setzt sich dieser Beitrag zum Ziel, durch den Vergleich des Films mit der Romanvorlage den persönlichen Beitrag des Regisseurs zur Deutung des Romans hervorzuheben, wobei auch auf die Funktion der Unterschiede des Films im Vergleich zum Roman im Filmgefüge eingegangen wird.
