    Der Aufsatz über Simmels Essayismus diskutiert zunächst die kritischen Punkte, die Adornos Unbehagen an dessen ‚Bürgerlichkeit‘ ausgelöst haben. In einem zweiten Schritt stellt er die Elemente heraus, die den Stil Simmels prägen und in der Tat konträr zu Adornos negativer Dialektik sind: Dazu gehören der Gestus des Konkreten, die scheinbar bloße Betrachtung und ein Relationismus, der Trennen und Verbinden in einen unaufkündbaren Zusammenhang bringt und durchgängig Ambivalenz erzeugt.
    Firstly, this essays discusses the critical arguments Adorno’s against Simmel’s ‘bourgeois’ essayistic style. I a second step, it analyses all the elements which are characteristic for Simmel’s style and which are really in contrast to Adorno’s negative dialectic: a gesture of observing a concrete phenomenon, a relational mode of thinking in which separating and connecting build a irredeemable unit, a permanent ambivalence which is the result of Simmel’s ‘relationalistic’ attitude.

    Dieser Beitrag stellt zunächst dar, was heutige Jugendliche in Deutschland, von denen weniger als ein Drittel katholisch getauft ist, über Glaube und Kirche denken. Anschließend kommt die breite Praxis der Jugendpastoral in Deutschland zur Sprache, aber auch theoretische Konzepte, denen sie sich verpflichtet weiß. Der Beitrag schließt mit einem Plädoyer, sich als Seelsorger auf die Jugendlichen von heute und ihre existentiellen Fragen wirklich einzulassen.
    This article at first describes what today’s young German people – less than a third of whom are baptized catholic – think about believe and about the Church. Then the diversified practice of youth pastoral care is raised, but also the theoretical concepts on which this practice is predicated. The article finishes with a plea that persons in pastoral care should really get involved with the present-day adolescents and their existential questions.

    Generationserzählungen haben sich in der deutschen Sprache als eine erfolgversprechende, aber auch sehr wandelbare Gattung erwiesen. Der einleitende Beitrag fokussiert auf die Fähigkeit des Narrativs, die deutsche und europäische Geschichte mitzugestalten und auch umzuschreiben. Dabei greifen jüngere Werke Vergessenes und fehlendes Wissen auf und verarbeiten weite Zeiträume imaginativ. Durch ihre vielschichtigen Zugriffe auf die Zeit reflektiert die einschlägige Literatur nicht nur über die Vergangenheit, sondern auch grundsätzlicher über den ästhetischen Umgang mit der Zeit und ihre sprachlichen Darstellungsmöglichkeiten.
    Generational narratives have proven to be a promising but also very uneven genre in the German language. This introductory article focuses on the ability of the narrative to create and recreate German and European history. In recent works, forgotten and missing knowledge is recovered, and distant times are processed imaginatively. Through its multilayered access to time, the relevant literature not only reflects on the past, but also more fundamentally, on the aesthetic representation of time and its linguistic expression.
    Opowieści rodzinne odnoszą w niemieckim obszarze językowym duże sukcesy, ale są też gatunkiem, podlegającym ciągłym ewolucjom. Niniejszy artykuł zakłada, że narracja jest zdolna współkształtować niemiecką i europejską historię a nawet nadawać jej nowe znaczenie. Utwory literackie ostatnich lat odwołują się zarówno do procesu zapominania jak i do braku odpowiedniej wiedzy; stąd całe przestrzenie czasowe są przepracowane przez wyobraźnię twórców. Dzięki wielorakim odniesieniom do pojęcia czasu, literatura sięga nie tylko do przeszłości, ale przygląda się możliwościom estetycznego i językowego oglądu fenomenu czasu.

    Bildbeschreibung, written in 1984, is undoubtedly the most hermetic text in the work of the East-German dramatist Heiner Müller. In this prose text, referred to by its author as ‘a play’, an ungraspable “I” vainly attempts to piece together an image to construct a coherent whole. When one compares this with Müller’s other works, Bildbeschreibung makes disconcerting reading because of its apparent lack of any political dimension. A thorough analysis however reveals that the traumas of Germany’s twentieth century history underpin the narrative. Moreover, the desperate attempts by the “I” to build itself into a proper “self” through the (re)-construction of the undecipherable image, hark back to the difficulties one has to conceptualize History after the end of what Jean-François Lyotard calls ‘the grand narratives’. Bildbeschreibung stages these difficulties in terms of history as drama. The “landscape between steppe and savannah” under “a Prussian blue sky” turns out to be the GDR in the 1980s, a country tossed and torn between the anguish of the ending of the historical process as described by the theories of post-history and the hope of a new dynamism made possible by the end of the Cold War.

    Aż do synodów biskupów poświęconych małżeństwu i rodzinie w 2014 i 2015 r. relacja teologii, dogmatyki, prawa kanonicznego i teologii pastoralnej w kwestii osób rozwiedzionych żyjących w powtórnych związkach była podobna do „węzła gordyjskiego”. Wydawało się, że jego rozwiązanie nie jest możliwe na drodze argumentacji i logiki, a jedynie przez „przecięcie mieczem“. Niniejszy artykuł ukazuje, jak papież Franciszek rozpoczyna rozwiązywać „węzeł gordyjski” dyscyplin teologicznych nie przy pomocy miecza, ale przez odwiązywanie poszczególnych nici. Jego taktowne, ale wskazujące kierunek interwencje w sferze prawa kanonicznego i wskazówki o potrzebie rozwoju i refleksji w obszarze niektórych elementów nauczania dogmatycznego są pierwszymi krokami w tym procesie. Franciszek sięga przy tym po przygotowawcze prace swoich poprzedników i kontynuuje je w sensie Soboru Watykańskiego II, przez co także ujęcia teologii moralnej udaje się mu wyrazić spójnie i bez sprzeczności wobec innych dyscyplin teologicznych. W adhortacji apostolskiej Amoris laetitia papież wyraźne domaga się od teologii moralnej tego, co zostało rozwinięte już od Soboru Watykańskiego II. Posynodalnej adhortacji apostolskiej nie można jednakże interpretować jako potwierdzenia linii niemięckojęzycznej teologii moralnej po Soborze Watykańskim II. Różnice uwidaczniają się przede wszystkim w antropologii i zamiarze, aby teologia moralna silniej została ukierunkowana na praktykę życia i w ten sposób była w służbie duszpasterstwa.
    The relations between moral theology, dogmatics, canon law and pastoral theology concerning the question of divorced people living in second partnerships were discussed during the bishop’s synods on marriage and family in 2014 and 2015 and compared to being akin to “a Gordian knot”. It appeared after argumentation and the application of logic that untying of it is not possible and that the only way of cutting free is with a sword. The present article shows how Pope Francis has started to untie the Gordian knot of the theological disciplines but not with a sword but rather through the undoing of particular threads. His tactful way of making interventions and giving orientation in the canon law and tips about the need for growth and reflection in the field of some elements of dogmatic teaching are the first steps in this process. Francis reaches forward with this due to the works already conducted by his predecessors and continues it in the sense of the Second Vatican Council. This way can be successfully express coherent depictions of moral theology and without contradictions between this discipline and the other theological disciplines. In the post-synodal exhortation Amoris laetitia Pope Francis demands clearly that moral theology follows the line which was developed after the Second Vatican Council. The apostolic exhortation cannot be interpreted as a confirmation of the line of German moral theology after the Second Vatican Council. The differences appear first of all in the anthropology and in the intention that moral theology should be more strongly focused on life’s practice and in this way be more closely connected to the service of pastoral work.
