    The author shows the interdependence in the development of caricature and cencorship in Prussia from the Congress of Vienna on to the Revolution of 1848. Within this framework he gives special notice to the short period of the so-called „freedom of picture“ 1842 to 43 and ist consequence for producing caricatures. The author's analysis of several caricatures points out general tendencies, and emphasizes the close interrelationship between caricature and literature. A summary with the main results and general statements on this subject concludes this essay.

    This paper tends to explore ,Fontane's picture gallery' referring to its genesis, characteristic and effect. In doing so the art critic Fontane is improving a distinctive image as an expert especially of English art und of the at that time in Germany leading Dusseldorf School of Painting (Düsseldorfer Malerschule). Furthermore it will be set out how the writer Fontane is acting in his work with pictures and pictorial perception. Eventually there is a suggestion for recovering ,Fontane's picture gallery' to make it possible for the contemporary audience to read Fontane's works in a wider and subtly differentiated manner.

    Human dignity is composing the main theme for the interaction with mentally ill people, which requires certain competence and a certain sensitivity. The action in the psychiatric daily routine in dealing with mentally ill people is always an enforcement and must always remain questionable. Child and adolescent psychiatry is arranged in between pedagogical responsibility and psychopathological understanding. Here the emotional structure of the young man has not been sufficiently constituted yet. For this reason the conception of human being by people working in psychiatric departments has to be affected by the valuable singularity of each other. Human dignity is jeoparding in psychiatry frequently by compulsory measures and stigma. Therefore it is more important that action in psychiatry is taking place among social dignity. In the consorting with mentally ill people, people working in the field of psychiatry have the obligation to support them actively in the protection of their identity. This obligation has an indispensable, existential significance in psychiatry.

    The following article is based on a discussion of the concept of dignity, Both, the criticism and the different concepts will be discussed. If the concept of human dignity should not only replace an empty formula, human dignity has to be analysed with regards to content. Based on the more detailed analysis it is proved that human dignity is interpreted and used in different ways. It is not only valid for the relationship between the nation and the citizens, which is the original reason why it is arranged at the beginning of the fundamental rights, but also indirectly for the relationship of the citizens among themselves. The human being is endowed with reason and conscience and therefore a morally responsible subject – a person. For this reason human dignity is bestowed on human. Afterwards it will be considered whether all human own dignity or if it depends on belongings of certain characteristics.

    Gegenstand des Beitrags sind Debatten über Political Correctness, wie sie in Kommentarbereichen der Webseite „Zeit Online“ beobachtet werden können. Unter Artikeln zum Thema Political Correctness finden sich zahlreiche kritische Kommentare, auf die dann wiederum mit gezielter Gegenrede reagiert wird. Auf der Grundlage eines Korpus von 4791 Kommentaren zu neun Artikeln, in dem auch die Threadstrukturen ausgezeichnet sind, werden mit quantitativ-korpuslinguistischen Methoden typische sprachliche Merkmale von Gegenrede ermittelt, die als Merkmale von Counterness gefasst werden. In qualitativen Feinanalysen werden ausgesuchte Befunde weiter angereichert. Dabei wird gezeigt, dass insbesondere epistemische Positionierungen, also die Indizierung eigenen und fremden Wissens, und damit verbundene Abgrenzungshandlungen eine wichtige Rolle bei der Artikulation von Gegenrede spielen.
    This paper deals with debates about political correctness as they can be observed in comment sections of the website “Zeit Online”. Under articles on the topic of political correctness, numerous critical comments can be found which are then in turn reacted to with counter speech. On the basis of a corpus of 4791 comments of nine articles, in which the thread structures are also marked up, typical linguistic features of counter speech which are summarized as characteristics of counterness, are determined with quantitative corpus linguistic methods. In qualitative fine analyses, selected findings are further enriched. It will be shown that epistemic positioning, i.e., the indexing of one’s own and other people’s knowledge, and the associated acts of demarcation play an important role in the articulation of counter speech.
