    Opis:
    Unreliable narration by definition involves deformation of the represented world. The narrator tells the story in the manner that makes the reader suspect that he / she is perverting the facts, manipulating the data, omitting details or simply lying. The narrative situation of this type can be observed in Tanguy Viel’s debut novel Le Black Note, published by the prestigious Minuit publishing house. The aim of this essay is to analyse unreliable narration as a modality of deformed representation of reality and to assess its impact on the reading process. This typically destabilising narrative technique reflects the condition of the deranged mind and thus depicts the distorted view of reality filtered through diseased consciousness. Subverting the traditional author–reader pact as well as the narrator’s authority, it constitutes one of the narrative paradigms typical of contemporary fiction.

    Opis:
    "Batouala: A True Black Novel", written in 1921 by René Maran, was the first black narrative in French to win the Prix Goncourt. Written nearly twenty years before Senghor’s and Cesaire’s works appeared, "Batouala" stands out as a notable novel which foretells the Negritude phenomenon expressing the validation of Africa as the matrix of a proud Black race. The Blacks’ world and attitudes are portrayed through their beliefs and habits. The contact of African and European cultures is a traumatic one – Africans present a candid portrayal of colonialist presence in their country – critical and raw. Despite the discomfiture of the encounter between two cultures, "Batouala" paved the way for the successors – Negritude’s representatives, writers of the independence period and engaged witnesses of the modernity.
    „Batouala: prawdziwa powieść murzyńska”, napisana w 1921 roku przez René Marana, była pierwszą „czarną” narracją w języku francuskim, która zdobyła nagrodę Goncourtów. Napisana niemal dwadzieścia lat przed pojawieniem się prac Senghora i Césaire’a, „Batouala” jest godną uwagi powieścią, która zapowiada zjawisko „murzyńskości”, uznające Afrykę za kolebkę dumnej, Czarnej rasy. Świat i postawa „Czarnych” przedstawione są poprzez ich przekonania i zwyczaje. Kontakt afrykańskiej i europejskiej kultury należy do traumatycznych – Afrykanie szczerze opisują obecność kolonizatorów w ich kraju – groźnych i brutalnych. Pomimo konsternacji wywołanej spotkaniem dwóch kultur, „Batouala” utorowała drogę następcom – przedstawicielom „murzyńskości”, pisarzom epoki suwerenności oraz świadkom zaangażowanym we współczesne wydarzenia.

    Marguerite Yourcenar’s novel The Work in Black provides descriptions of artwork. Fingerprints artistic figurations in his novel become both a text and materiality of Intermediality Ut Pictura poesis. How is formed the symbiosis of the diegesis and Ekhprasis in the novel by Marguerite Yourcenar? Mannerist processes allow the author to play on two different display modes: the text and the image called by the text. How is this transposition within the Work in Black, a novel supposed to represent social circles of the Renaissance by taking the idea to Breughel and simultaneously echo the turpitude where there the contemporary world. Communication between the image and the text does not only nesting but also a representation that is created as a space, an "inner distance" in the words of Georges Poulet, which makes the work a bet abyss in the search for the essence the art work, the philosopher's stone which is the original experience of vision. The curveball opens an "inner space" as Claude Edmonde Magny analysis allowing the novel to open and expand this optical illusion, create connections, secret architectures. We will try to develop these problems merging form of osmosis The work at Black Yourcenar, at the intersection of disciplines and critical approaches that think the work of art in its many meanings and semiotic richness.
