Present paper deals with the field of Production Engineering specifically its standard of education in India. This discipline of engineering focuses on the capability of an engineer not just as a technician but also as a manager. As a result industry is also favoring the development of this field. This paper reviews the educational structure followed in India for engineering education. It aims to give a clear idea of standard of this discipline’s courses being run in India at different levels of engineering, considering both centrally funded and private institutions. It also covers the necessary simulation tools used to train the students during these courses and inspects over available web-resources related to the subject. In the epilogue it discusses the future prospects for this field’s development as a discipline and concludes with a brief comparison of India’s status from other regions of world. In the end we have made some suggestions to decision-makers based on our findings to improve the existing model.

The problem of adaptation of educational space of technical university to modern market requirements is considered. There are described the results of studying the requests of higher education applicants and their vision of the success of the study. The aim of the article is to build an architecture of an information system similar to that used by modern enterprises, which will provide a combination of scientific, design and educational activities of the academic community, taking into account market needs. The main scientific research methods are bibliographic analysis, comparative analysis, methods of analogies. The conceptual architecture of the Information Support of Design Innovation Activity of the Technical University system based on the construction of a unified scientific and educational information space is described. The main task of the university's information space is to prepare students for activities of the real market. There are determined the necessity and limits of application of the modern access control system at the universities of Ukraine, in particular for the organization of independent work of students. There is offered the way to reach the 4th level of technological readiness of students 'and teachers' development. The construction of an ontological description of the subject area of a technical university, the development of the application of a grid model for the description of scientific and technical information, and the determination of the current technical status are defined as the basis of the system of setting tasks for project groups in the transition to project-oriented learning. Introduction: The Purpose of this study was to develop and substantiate an experimental program for the improvement of the technical preparedness of 16-18 year-old rugby players through the use of computer technologies. Materials and methods: 60 athletes, 16-18 years old participated, in the study. Results: the computer training program, “Rugby-13”, was developed and theoretically based to improve the technical readiness of rugby players at the stage of specialized basic training. Conclusions: during the study, the efficiency of the application of the experimental program for the technical training of rugby players at the stage of specialized basic training, has been proved by the results of the research.

Tento požadavek není vždy vhodně akceptován v transformačních procesech školských soustav. Příspěvek porovnává vývoj technického vzdělávání v USA a v naší školské soustavě v posledních letech.
Technical education must be understood as fundamental for acquiring working and other skills specified in the framework educational programmes for both primary and secondary education. This requirement has not always been accepted in processes implementing the transformation of educational systems. The paper compares the development of technical education in the USA and in our country during the last few years.

Our study examined the differences between students with special educational needs (SEN) and other students in vocational and technical schools in different areas of self-regulation: learning motivation, cognitive and metacognitive strategies and emotional regulation in learning. The sample consisted of 140 students, of whom 20 were students with SEN. Differences between students were most often expressed in the area of lower perceptions of self-efficacy. With respect to the regulation of time and study environment, the students with SEN had greater problems with following the study schedule than other students; in the area of taking responsibility for learning, the students with SEN gave up faster and did not persevere in studying the more difficult subject matter. The students with SEN also expressed less positive beliefs about themselves and their abilities; they sought study support later or not at all compared to other students and gave up on studying more difficult course material. In inclusive classes with the students with SEN, the teachers should dedicate more time to develop self-regulated learning skills and strategies and thus increase students’ feeling of control over the learning process.

Opis:
In the theoretical part of the article, the psychological foundations of cognitivism and the possibilities of using its elements in preschool education are explained. The research part discusses the results of a study on the application of the cognitive concept in early childhood education in Slovakia. A questionnaire was used as a research tool. 72 teachers took part in the research. The authors emphasize the importance of introducing innovations in preschool technical education, as there is no information in literature about research on educational concepts for preschool children. Available research results focus on primary or higher educa-tion. Hence the presented study provides a new, original view on the issue of educational concepts, especially in technical education in kindergartens.
W części teoretycznej artykułu wyjaśniono psychologiczne podstawy pedagogicznego kognitywizmu i możliwości zastosowania jego elementów w praktyce przedszkolnej. W części badawczej omówiono wyniki badań nad stosowaniem koncepcji kognitywistycznej w edukacji w słowackich przedszkolach. Jako narzędzie badawcze wykorzystano kwestionariusz. W badaniach wzięło udział 72 nauczycieli z przedszkoli na Słowacji. Autorki podkreślają znaczenie wprowadzania innowacji w przedszkolnej edukacji technicznej, ponieważ w literaturze brak informacji o badaniach dotyczących koncepcji edukacyjnych stosowanych na poziomie przedszkolnym. Dostępne wyniki badań, koncentrują się na szkole podstawowej lub wyższej. Stąd prezentowane opracowanie stanowi nowy, oryginalny pogląd na kwestię koncepcji edukacyjnych, szczególnie w edukacji technicznej w przedszkolach.

Significant curricular reform took place in the Slovak republic in September 2008, resulting in a new two-level curriculum. However, not all of the standards established have proved helpful to teachers, schools, parents or students, either in relation to the achievement of positive educational goals or when it comes to providing support for the evaluation of students. Therefore, the National Institute for Education has created a new committee of experts for areas in education, whose task has been to review the existing educational standards and propose new ones. Technical studies are a part of our culture and have even become the driving force of our times, so schools should allow all of their pupils to undergo proper acculturation in this area. Technical education is, moreover, considered an important part of the process of educating young people. It may count as preparation for a future career, and, in many cases, has real applications in the labour market. The author of this paper was responsible for creating new educational standards for technical education at primary schools. The concept of technical education employed here is based on general cultural literacy, with scientific and technical literacy viewed as a fixed element within this. In the current paper, the author wants to introduce the principles that define the new conception of technical education at primary-school level in Slovakia, both in terms of its contents and in terms of its character as a process. Within the process of learning, a great deal of attention is paid to the personality of the pupil. The article states the main principles of learning, acquired from personal teaching experience. This new conception of technical education will be in force from September 2015 at all schools in the Slovak Republic.
Dla Republiki Słowackiej istotne znaczenie miała przeprowadzona we wrześniu 2008 roku reforma programowa, która wyodrębniła nowe dwupoziomowe programy nauczania. Wobec braku ich akceptacji ze strony nauczycieli, rodziców i uczniów Narodowy Instytut Edukacji utworzył nowy komitet ekspertów dla obszarów edukacji, którego zadaniem była ocena istniejących standardów edukacyjnych i zaproponowanie nowych. Nauki techniczne, o których mowa w niniejszym artykule, stanowią część naszej kultury i dlatego też szkoły powinny umożliwić wszystkim uczniom przejście odpowiedniej akulturacji w tej dziedzinie. Edukację techniczną uważa się za bardzo ważny obszar w procesie edukacyjnym. Autorka tego artykułu był odpowiedzialna za stworzenie nowych norm edukacyjnych dla edukacji technicznej w słowackich szkołach podstawowych. Zastosowana koncepcja edukacji technicznej oparta została na ogólnej znajomości kultury, gdzie nauka i technika postrzegane są jako jej stałe elementy. Autorka przedstawiła zasady funkcjonowania nowej koncepcji edukacji technicznej na poziomie szkoły podstawowej w Słowacji pod względem jej struktury, charakteru oraz sposobów realizacji. W procesie edukacyjnym dużo uwagi poświęca się kształtowaniu wszechstronnej osobowości ucznia. Artykuł wyznacza główne zasady uczenia się wypracowane poprzez własne doświadczenia w nauczaniu tego obszaru. Prezentowana nowa koncepcja nauczania technicznego zostanie wprowadzona w życie we wrześniu 2015 roku we wszystkich szkołach na terenie Słowacji.

The article presents a solution for one of the significant tasks in pedagogical science and practice, namely the development of regulatory skills in younger school pupils as a significant factor of their educational and cognitive competence development. The aim of our study was to conduct practical evaluation of the proposed program of the development of regulatory skills in younger school pupils. Scientific novelty consists in the created program of the development of regulatory skills in younger school pupils, which generally allow for increasing education and cognitive competence, which is the basis for pupils’ functional expertise, in accordance with the aims and tasks of the state-significance documentation. The study used logical and historical analysis of scientific literature on the topic, pedagogical observation, a survey, questionnaires, testing and a pedagogical experiment. Based on the obtained results, we developed educational and methodological recommendations for teachers on the topic of developing regulatory skills in young school pupils, as an elective class program for 2nd-grade pupils.

While considerable academic efforts have focused on integrating cutting-edge educational technologies into learning and instruction, it is not yet clear what effect the implementation of these technologies have had on enduring educational goals. This article reminds educations stakeholders that any plan for technology implementations should be based on serving broad educational goals. Regardless of how attractive cutting-edge technologies are, their application in education should be evaluated in light of enduring educational goals as summarized in the following: to develop responsible citizens who have basic knowledge and skills and who will become effective problem solvers and lifelong learners. This article reviews educational goals in several contexts to illustrate that while variations have evolved and many educational technologies have emerged, the basic educational goals have remained relatively stable. In reviewing the challenges and opportunities for emerging educational technologies, the basic argument herein is to begin with these basic educational goals rather than committing to the latest educational technological fad.
