Increasingly, students with a variety of disabilities are being included in general education settings; however, many of these students have academic, behavioral, and social challenges that can interfere with their participation and performance. Teachers and school professionals supporting students with disabilities need effective and efficient strategies that can improve student outcomes. This paper describes a set of six domains of research-supported practices that can be implemented to support students. These practices are organized using the acronym STRIVE: Social supports, Teaching practices, Rewards and motivation, Independence, Visual supports, and Engagement. We include examples of how these practices can be used class-wide to support all students, and how they can be adapted to support specific students with disabilities. Practitioner-friendly applications and resources are included to support implementation within school settings.

Opis:
In the paper, theoretical knowledge about base solution of common differential equations with variable parameters is presented. The solutions are applied to mechanical problems of discrete, distributed and discrete-distributed homogeneous elastic models of structures and structural components. In this paper, the influence function and its properties are presented. The influence function is applied to analysis of the bending curve of a beam with constants and variable parameters. The presented method of the influence function is based on the mathematical similarity of differential equations describing free vibrations and deflection of beams, which are fourth-order equations with variable coefficients. In this paper, examples of calculation of support reactions as function of stiffness of the beam and elastic supports are presented.

The main goal of the European Union's regional policy is to reduce structural disparities between EU member states and regions. The balanced development throughout the EU can promote real equal opportunities for all. So the policy is based on the concept of solidarity and cohesion of economic and social conditions. It achieves this by means of a variety of financing operations, principally through the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund.The policy focuses on three main objectives, convergence – solidarity, regional competitiveness and employment and European territorial cooperation. By these objectives the EU supported projects in a wide range of areas – at regional and national level – from business support to urban development. It is very important that, these themes reflect the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy to promote smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.Between 2007 and 2013 for the European Union's regional policy is allocated 347 billion euro, 35.7% of the total EU budget for that period, just over 49 billion euro a year. All programmes are co-financed by the member countries the total available funding is almost 700billion euro, so the programmes and the results are and will be significant.The main programmes, eligible areas, and the beneficiaries of the national programs can be summarized, but to measure the various programs effectiveness, in the different countries, are much more complicated. The results depend on a lot of variables, for example the managerial institutional system, the structure of the national programs, the habitat of the participant and many obvious and potential, external and internal economical and social conditions.But despite of the dissimilarities, we try to collect, through some macroeconomical structural indicators, the main characteristic trends of the utilization EU sources. With various methods, we will characterize the coherence between gross domestic product, labour force statistics etc. Because the analysis of the 27 EU countries could be voluminous, it will be focused on some countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

The paper concerns the problem of the influence of thermal actions on the structural behavior of sandwich panels with unspecified elastic supports. An ordinary sandwich panel theory is used. The boundary conditions have the arbitrary form of elastic supports. The solution of a statically undetermined system with limitations of horizontal displacement and rotation is derived. The illustrative examples are presented and the problem solution is discussed.

Opis:
Free vibration analysis of homogeneous and isotropic thin circular and annular plates with discrete elements such as elastic ring supports is considered. The general form of quasi- -Green’s function for thin circular and annular plates is obtained. The nonlinear characteristic equations are defined for thin circular and annular plates with different boundary conditions and different combinations of the core and support radius. The continuity conditions at the ring supports are omitted based on the properties of Green’s function. The fundamental frequency of axisymmetric vibration has been calculated using the Newton-Raphson method and calculation software. The obtained results are compared with selected results presented in literature. The exact frequencies of vibration presented in a non-dimensional form can serve as benchmark values for researchers to validate their numerical methods when applied for uniform thin circular and annular plate problems.

The subject of the work is a symmetrical sandwich beam with clamped ends under uniformly distributed load. The system of two equilibrium equations, formulated taking into account the literature, was solved analytically. The function of the shear effect and the maximum deflection of the beam were determined. The stress state at the clamped end of the beam is described in detail. The significant influence of the shear effect on the normal stresses in the outer layers of the beam near the clamped end was indicated. Exemplary calculations were made for the adopted family of beams. Moreover, the numerical FEM model of the beam was developed and calculations were made for this adopted family of beams. A comparative analysis of the obtained results was carried out.

We show that the Vietoris system of a space is isomorphic to a strong expansion of that space in the Steenrod homotopy category, and from this we derive a simple description of strong homology. It is proved that in ZFC strong homology does not have compact supports, and that enforcing compact supports by taking limits leads to a homology functor that does not factor over the strong shape category. For compact Hausdorff spaces strong homology is proved to be isomorphic to Massey's homology.

The paper examines the problem of the influence of restrictions on freedom of horizontal displacements in thermally loaded sandwich beams. The classical theory of sandwich beams and panels with thin facings and a soft core has been applied. It was assumed that the cross-section of the beam could be asymmetric geometrically and materially. The beam has vertical supports and additional horizontal supports limiting the freedom of horizontal displacements. The supports are linearly elastic and the rigidity of the upper and lower support can be arbitrary. The static problem of single-span beam with support conditions identical at both ends of the beam was solved in the paper. Each of the sandwich facings has been subjected to temperature change. The derived formulas were used in the example illustrating the importance of the problem.

This paper presents a comparative analysis of two kinematic structures of the support system (with supports with bilateral and unilateral constraints), which were used in an experimental model of a crane. The computational model was developed by using the ADAMS software. The impact of the kinematic structure of the support system on selected kinematic and dynamic values that were recorded during the slewing motion was analysed. It was found, among other things, that an increased number of degrees of freedom of the support system leads to multiple distortions of time characteristics of kinematic and dynamic quantities.

Portable braziers played a very important role in ancient kitchens. Stoves with a stand, fire bowl and three supports were very common in Middle and Late Hellenistic times (2nd century BCE and late 2nd century to 30 BCE, accordingly), but they do not seem to have been imported in large numbers to Cyprus. The paper discusses the finds from Cyprus, and from Paphos in particular, the island’s capital from the end of the 3rd century BCE, which is where most of the finds come from. The research entails a re-examination of the stoves from the House of Dionysos (original spelling after Hayes 1981) and the mostly unknown material from the University of Warsaw excavations in the Maloutena area. Fabrics were distinguished by macroscopic observation with the naked eye using a hand lens, identifying macroscopic groups (MG). Paphos is suggested as a potential place of production, as well as a major importer of stoves, an idea that should be clarified by future archaeometric analyses.

The problem of maximization of the buckling load and the problem of maximization of the natural vibration frequency under a condition imposed on the global cost is discussed. Cross-sectional areas of bar structures and number of elastic supports, their positions and stiffnesses (or the number and positions of rigid supports) are selected as design parameters. The proposed here algorithm of optimization of bar structures with their supports is applied for analysis of some optimization problems. Illustrative examples confirm applicability of the proposed approach.

Skonfrontowano wydajności katalizatorów żelazowo-chromowych w alkilacji fenolu i w dwucząsteczkowej kondensacji n-butanolu w zależności od zawartości żelaza. W obu przypadkach wyższą wydajność pożądanych produktów uzyskano w procesach z katalizatorem o niższej zawartości tlenku żelaza (III). Materiały o zbliżonym składzie są także katalizatorami wysokotemperaturowej konwersji tlenku węgla parą wodną, w tym katalizatorami z zastosowaniem nośników węglowych.
The efficiency of iron-chromium catalysts in alkylation of phenol and in bimolecular condensation of n-butanol was compared depending on the iron content. In both cases, higher yields of the desired products were obtained in the process on the catalyst with a lower iron oxide (III) content. Materials with similar composition are also used as catalysts for high-temperature water-gas (CO) shift reaction, including catalysts on carbon supports.
