Opis:
The paper presents an analysis of dynamic properties of two flat plate solar collectors differing in the design of coil and vacuum tube liquid-vapour (heat-pipe) collector. The collector identification experiment was carried out under field conditions based on the methodology described in PN-EN ISO 9806: 2014-2 standard. The results of the field experiment were compared with those obtained under laboratory conditions.

Opis:
Using models and algorithms presented in the first part of the article, a spatio-temporal distribution of the step response of a floor heater was determined. The results have been presented in the form of heating curves and temperature profiles of the heater in the selected time moments. The computations results were verified through comparing them with the solution obtained with the use of a commercial program - NISA. Additionally, the distribution of the average time constant of thermal processes occurring in the heater was determined. The analysis of the use of a graphics processing unit in numerical computations based on the conjugate gradient method was done. It was proved that the use of a graphics processing unit is profitable in the case of solving linear systems of equations with dense coefficient matrices. In the case of a sparse matrix, the speed-up depends on the number of its non-zero elements.

Opis:
The article presents a method of computing the step response of an air floor heater. The method implements parallel algorithms on a graphics processing unit. In the analyzed concrete slab heating ducts are placed. Hot air is transferred through them, thanks to which the heat penetrates into the slab. Heat transfer into the environment takes place on the top surface of the floor by natural convection and radiation. The bottom surface of the slab is thermally insulated. A two-dimensional heat equation was discretized with the use of the implicit finite difference method. In order to solve the obtained system of equations, the conjugate gradient method was used. Moreover, in order to examine the possibility of shortening the computations time, the algorithm of this method was implemented on a graphics processing unit. A computer program, using the CUDA parallel computing platform and linear algebra libraries CUBLAS and CUSPARSE, was developed.

Opis:
To solve the dynamic response problems of magnetic coupling in the horizontal axis wave energy device, this has researched the dynamic characteristicsof magnetic coupling. The fitting formula about torque and angle of the magnetic coupling is obtained through experiments. The mathematical models of the magnetic coupling torque transmission are established. The steady state error of the magnetic coupling and the transfer function of the output angle are obtained. The analytical solution of the step response of the output angle in time domain is derived. The influence of the torsional rigidity, the damping coefficient and the driven rotor’s rotational inertia on dynamic characteristics of the magnetic coupling isanalyzed. According to the analysis results, the design rules of magnetic coupling are proposed.

Opis:
This paper proposes a practical tuning of closed loops with model based predictive control. The data assumed to be known from the process is the result of the bump test commonly applied in industry and known in engineering as step response data. A simplified context is assumed such that no prior know-how is required from the plant operator. The relevance of this assumption is very realistic in the context of first time users, both for industrial operators and as educational competence of first hand student training. A first order plus dead time is approximated and the controller parameters immediately follow by heuristic rules. Analysis has been performed in simulation on representative dynamics with guidelines for the various types of processes. Three single-input-single-output experimental setups have been used with no expert users available in different locations – both educational and industrial – these setups are representative for practical cases: a variable time delay dominant system, a non-minimum phase system and an open loop unstable system. Furthermore, in a multivariable control context, a train of separation columns has been tested for control in simulation, followed by experimental tests on a laboratory system with similar dynamics, i.e. a sextuple coupled water tank system. The results indicate the proposed methodology is suitable for hands-on tuning of predictive control loops with some limitations on performance and multivariable process control.

Opis:
In this paper, a numerical and experimental investigation of geometrical parameters of the blade for plastic bottle shredder was performed based on the Taguchi method in combination with a response surface method (RSM). Nowadays, plastic waste has become a major threat to the environment. Shredding, in which plastic waste is shredded into small bits, ready for transportation and further processing, is a crucial step in plastic recycling. Although many studies on plastic shredders were performed, there was still a need for more researches on the optimization of shredder blades. Hence, a numerical analysis was carried out to study the influences of the relevant geometrical parameters. Next, a two-step optimization process combining the Taguchi method and the RSM was utilized to define optimal parameters. The simulation results clearly confirmed that the current technique can triumph over the limitation of the Taguchi method, originated from a discrete optimization nature. The optimal blade was then fabricated and experimented, showing lower wear via measurement by an ICamScope® microscope. Hence, it can be clearly inferred from this investigation that the current optimization method is a simple, sufficient tool to be applied in such a traditional process without using any complicated algorithms or expensive software.

Opis:
This article presents a method for source camera identification based on PRNU (photo response non-uniformity) analysis. Considering the imperfections during the manufacturing process, in practice it is not possible to produce two identical sensors. This is connected, among others, with tolerances during manufacture process. That’s why, the PRNU parameter can be treated as a specific “camera fingerprint”, which is individual for every sensor. During this researches, 33 cameras were analyzed, and divided into 5 groups (the criterion was the camera model). The main goal of analysis were determining if individual identification of a camera from a group of devices it’s possible. The PCE (Peak to Correlation Energy) correlation coefficient higher than 50 was criterion for correct linked between camera and questioned files. Analyzed images was not edited, and have the same technical parameters like questioned files. Moreover reference files was made in similar conditions like evidence photos. Analysis were provided of couple of the same cameras like evidence device. Conclusion was, that we can identify specific camera model using PRNU analysis, however, some of condition should be performed, among others, analyzed a couple of the same device like suspect camera, quality of analyzed evidence files, quantity of correlation coefficient.
