Opis:
In October 2014 in a building of Rzeszow University of Technology, a series of measurements was taken to calculate the parameters of a solar system with a flat collector, as installed on the roof of the building. The following parameters were obtained: the value of solar radiation intensity, the temperature of external air, the temperature on the collector, the temperature of water in the tank and the temperature of glycol on the supply and return lines. On the basis of the data received, charts were made to visually present how changes of solar radiation intensity affected parameters of the system. The study was conducted in autumn when the intensity of solar radiation decreases, compared with summer months. The publication aims to show that the solar system brings energy gains in periods of transition, and the instantaneous intensity of solar radiation are comparable to those in the summer.

Opis:
Renewable energy resources have become a promissory alternative to overcome the problems related to atmospheric pollution and limited sources of fossil fuel energy. The technologies in the field of renewable energy are used also to improve the ventilation and cooling in buildings by using the solar chimney and heat exchanger. This study addresses the design, construction and testing of a cooling system by using the above two techniques. The aim was to study the effects of weather conditions on the efficiency of this system which was installed in Baghdad for April and May 2020. The common weather in these months is hot in Baghdad. The test room of the design which has a size of 1 m3 was situated to face the geographical south. The test room is thermally insulated and connected to a solar chimney which generates a convection current to draw the air out of the room through a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger was submerged in a water tank of 2 m length, 1 m width and 1 m height. It was also covered with a layer of soil mixture with a thickness of 10 cm. The experiment simulates the natural conditions of a shallow water surface, connected to the room from the other side. The study results revealed that the air temperature inside the test room was lower than that of the ambient air outside. Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there was a strong direct relationship between solar radiation, temperature and wind speed from one side and the cooling efficiency from the other side. Also, there was a negative correlation between relative humidity and cooling efficiency.

Opis:
The premise for undertaking the research is the need for an intergroup consensus of assessments by teams of international experts when choosing international investment projects in the field of solar energy for their adequacy and validity. The aim of this article is to provide theoretical and methodological justification for ensuring intergroup consensus among teams of international experts in selecting projects that are aimed to enhance the international competitiveness of the solar energy industry. Research results: The study decomposed the concept of 'intergroup consensus among teams of international experts' and verified its presence through one-factor regression analysis. Additionally, the study conducted a rating assessment of the efficiency of project implementation to enhance the international competitiveness of Ukraine's solar energy industry under conditions of uncertainty using the taxonomy method. Conclusions: The collaboration of international experts in teams has ensured comparability and adequacy of evaluations, leading to the possibility of selecting an effective project for enhancing the international competitiveness of Ukraine's solar energy industry under conditions of uncertainty.

Opis:
The possibility of basing an investment on a decision on land development conditions has many legal and economic advantages. The decision confirms a specific condition related to the possibility of land development, enables the implementation of subsequent stages of the investment process, and finally, the implementation of the investment. Currently, only special regulations, e.g. in water law, protection of monuments, and protection of agricultural and forest land, constitute a legal barrier to the location of photovoltaic investments. Other restrictions are technical limitations, for example, the possibility of connecting to the power grid. The photovoltaic investments market in Poland is constantly growing.

Opis:
Thermal sensation and heat stress potential were evaluated in summer in an outdoor arid environment. Such evaluation had never been made in arid regions. Various scales: the temperaturehumidity index (THI), physiological effective temperature (PET), universal thermal climatic index (UTCI) and standard effective temperature (SET*) were used for the evaluation. RayMan software model was used to estimate the PET and SET* and the UTCI-calculator was used for UTCI. The required air dry and wet bulb temperatures (Td, Tw), solar radiation flux (S0) and wind speed (V) were measured in summer (April 29–July 15). The results showed that: Persons are exposed to strong heat stress and would feel very hot most of the day time; and they are safe from heat stress risk and would feel comfortable most of the night time. Heat stress levels can be determined using the PET or UTCI scales; both are valid for arid environment and their results are almost similar; however, the THI cannot be used. SET* index specifically describes the thermal sensations and discomfort conditions along with summer days at any activity under arid conditions.
