Opis:
The popularity of smart devices that collect and share data on user behaviour grows every year, and the number of such devices in households is forecast to rise steadily. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to present the attitudes of young consumers regarding the security of their data collected by smart devices, interconnected via the existing Internet infrastructure or other network technologies within the Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The paper was written based on both secondary and primary sources of information. Secondary sources were used to define the discussed issues related to the Internet of Things and the security of data collected by smart devices. Primary sources, on the other hand, offered direct evidence of the attitudes of young consumers on the security of such data. Direct research was carried out using an online survey carried out in 2021 on a sample of 588 consumers aged 18–34 living in Poland. The results show that more than half of the respondents pay great attention to where the data collected by the devices used in their households is kept and whether such data is safe. In spite of such declarations, more than half of those surveyed have no knowledge about the level of the security of such data. The respondents agreed with the statement that consumers accepted the uncertainty related to the loss of control over their personal data collected by smart devices more quickly than the risk involved in becoming disconnected from them.

The most recent tendencies and breakthroughs in digital technologies have made it possible to implement a new model of manufacturing. By es-tablishing a digital twin of the real environment and basing their judg-ments on that twin, digital systems are able to monitor, optimize, and man-age the processes that they are applied to. This concept is predicated on the creation of a “Digital Twin” for each individual production source that contributes to the overall manufacturing process. In spite of the fact that different real-world applications of digital twin may involve different tech-nical and operational specifics, a significant amount of work was put in over the past few years to recognize and express principal properties, in addition to the primary challenges involved in the practical implementa-tion of digital twins within related industries. The purpose of this article is to review and analyze the fundamental principles, ideas, and technological solutions that comprise the Digital Twin vision for production processes. As a result, the objective of this review is to provide a synopsis of the state-of-the-art regarding digital twin concepts and to analyze their most recent status in terms of their potential application and implementation.

Nowadays the time of the smart ship is at the door. This is the result of the new, Fourth Industrial Revolution that is fast approaching. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is the result of an enormous increase in information being acquired, stored, processed, and transmitted The effect of this has been smart domestic appliances, robots, telephones, production machines, and other objects, visible everywhere in everyday life. There are obviously many advantages to the introduction of smart vehicles and attempts to introduce smart cars into traffic are already in progress. Smart ships are also currently attracting much attention. RINA organized three international conferences on this subject in a short space of time. An attempt to send a fully autonomous experimental ship across the Atlantic is already in progress. Although technically it would be possible to already build smart ships, there are many practical problems to be solved before they could be put into operation. Apart from purely technical problems there are problems of the economy, safety, security, and environmental protection as well as legal and political problems. There are also important problems regarding employment, training, and human relations. Questions are now being asked as to whether smart ships would be fully autonomous, remote controlled, or manned with a skeleton crew, and who will ultimately be responsible for the ship in question and how smart ships will affect sea traffic. Some of these problems have been discussed in this paper.

The growing demand for transportation has brought even larger quantities of traffic in spatially limited port areas. Considering a diverse traffic mix, infrastructural overcapacity and busy schedule, port communities have started to face possible degradation of safety and environmental standards. To mitigate these problems, a number of different monitoring solutions of marine environment were deployed. Since conventional environmental and traffic data gathering by physical monitoring and sampling was logistically complicated and inefficient in time and resources, different approaches had to be considered. With the rise of accessible Internet of Things (IoT) technology some ports already installed smart monitoring devices such as smart buoys. The goal of this paper is to examine the concept and benefits of an automated smart buoy as a cost effective, easy to install device capable of real-time remote information sharing. Furthermore, the design and operational processes of existing automated smart buoy will be presented, along with solutions for tackling navigational safety and environmental problems.

Despite the wide adoption of Internet of things (IoT) with several webs standards and cloud technologies, building of city wide IoT based smart city platform for solving transportation problem remains a daunting task. Owing to the dynamic nature of IoT and components of transportation systems, smart city architecture would require development of a scalable, distributed and evolving architecture on the web. With the advancement in autonomous transportation system there is a need for in adaptive telematic system for communicating with other vehicles, sensor nodes etc. As transport, services have special requirements of which are related to the size and type of information to be exchanged between vehicles (vehicle-to-vehicle communication) and the control centre. . By the time the data makes its way to the cloud for analysis, the opportunity to act on it might be gone. Thus handling such huge streams of data on the fly is a daunting task. In the study we present an interoperable swarm, logic based mobile terminals running multimedia micro services based telematic system.
