Opis:: Artykuł stanowi wprowadzenie do tematyki seminariów duchownych w Chinach. W pierwszej części zaprezentowano polityczne i społeczne zmiany ze współczesnej historii Chin, by potem móc przejść do głównego tematu. Przedmiotem analizy jest odnowienie, rozwój i zanik katolickich seminariów w Chinach od 1982 roku po dzień dzisiejszy. Szanghajskie Seminarium Sheshan służy jako przykład.
This paper will give an introduction to Catholic seminary education in China. After briefly narrating the political and social changes in modern Chinese history, seminary education will be discussed. Our discussion will focus on restoration, development and decline of Catholic seminaries in China from1982 to the present. Shanghai Sheshan Seminary will be particularly introduced as an example.

Opis:: The Word of God is the foundation that enables a young man to establish a deep bond with Christ while following the path of priestly formation. Daily prayer based on profound meditation on God’s word (lectio divina) helps a seminarian become rooted deeply in the Holy Scripture and to truly encounter Jesus in the books of the Gospel. The student also needs intellectual formation based on Holy Scripture in order to understand more the secrets of the Holy Scripture more profoundly and preach them in his ministry as reader.

Opis:: The article analyzes the architectural peculiarities that are common for residential space of theological educational institutions led by the Christian churches of the Byzantine rite, as based on the example of the architectural and space-planning organization of the Lviv Theological Seminary of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, outlines the major factors that prevailingly influence the formation of theological seminary residential space, and provides recommendations for designing residential buildings, dining rooms and facilities for sports and recreation within the general residential space of theological educational institutions.

Opis:: The article highlights the sacred component of architecture of theological-humanitarian Christian educational institutions. It researches the architectural and space-planning decisions of temples and chapels of theological-humanitarian educational institutions. The objective of the research is to determine the major principles of architecture development common for the sacred core of theological-humanitarian educational institutions. The research has been conducted by means of analyzing the historical experience of designing and constructing temples and chapels of theological educational institutions in Ukraine, carrying out field observations, systematizing the results of previous scientific researches, as well as analyzing the design decisions and the implemented projects. The methods of typological analysis, experimental design, and questionnaire-based survey have been applied in the course of the research. The results of the conducted research helped to outline the major principles of architecture development common for the sacred core of theological-humanitarian educational institutions, determine the major factors influencing the architecture of temples and chapels of similar institutions, and offer the suggestions for designing temples and chapels of theological-humanitarian educational institutions in Ukraine.
