    Opis:
    The paper presents the results of research whose aim was to specify the impact of disruptions coming from the movement of a ship on the accuracy of determining the location of the tracked target by the modified, optoelectronic scanning and tracking seeker (OSTS). The basic task of OSTS consists in detecting and then tracking closely the detected air target, emitting infrared radiation.
    W artykule przedstawione zostały wyniki badań mających na celu określenie wpływu zakłóceń pochodzących od ruchu okrętu na dokładność wyznaczania położenia śledzonego celu przez zmodyfikowaną optoelektroniczną głowicę skanująco-śledzącą (OGSS). Podstawowym zadaniem OGSS jest wykrycie, a następnie precyzyjne śledzenie wykrytego celu powietrznego emitującego promieniowanie w zakresie podczerwieni.

    Opis:
    The paper presents the concept of programmed control of the designed optical target seeker in the phase of searching the air space. The controlling of the programmed movements of the seeker axis has been developed with simultaneous consideration of the process of scanning of the air space by an optoelectronic system of the device. Numerical analysis of the dynamics of the proposed optical scanning seeker as well as the analysis of selection of velocity and suitable trajectories of the displacement of its axis were conducted. The results were presented in a graphical form.

    Opis:
    The majority of homing guided missiles use gimbaled seekers. The equations describing seeker gimbal system are highly nonlinear. Accurate nonlinear control of the motion of the gimbaled seeker through the attached DC motors is required. In this paper, an online technique for finite-horizon nonlinear tracking problems is presented. The idea of the proposed technique is the change of variables that converts the nonlinear differential Riccati equation to a linear Lyapunov differential equation. The proposed technique is effective for wide range of operating points. Simulation results for a realistic gimbaled system with different engagement scenarios are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

    Opis:
    Optimisation of the dynamic response of gimbal seeker plays key role from the point of view of development of anti-tank guided missile’s systems. In this study the set of the most important internal disturbances were integrated in generalized model of two axis gimbal seeker implemented in MathWorks’ Simulink environment. Compared to previous works on the subject, it was enhanced by replacing simple friction model with dynamic LuGre friction. Furthermore, its Coulomb component was linked to the normal force induced by missile’s lateral acceleration. Control system of gimbal seeker proposed in paper was tuned with modelled disturbances turned off and then examined with them being turned one by one. System’s responses were assessed to be significantly deteriorated, proving need of disturbance modelling and its use in control systems’ design.

    The focus on children’s well-being is fundamental to any child-centred policy. Hence, migrating children’s interests are usually considered in a migrant context rather than in the best interests of the child, highlighting the challenges of implementing child-centred asylum policies in practice. Based on this observation, the paper focuses on the discrepancies between the legal provisions for the reception of minor asylum seekers in Poland and practice on the ground: how they serve the education opportunities for such children, as the only social area where the child-centred approach is detectable. The paper discusses the extent to which the legal provisions of the Polish migration law are suitable for adopting a child-centred approach in the asylum procedure to enable children to continue their education. It is further explored in connection to the Micreate fieldwork study with asylum-seeking children. The paper analyses specific institutions to assess their potential for implementing child-centred management in the reception and integration of asylum seekers and to highlight the obstacles in this direction. Finally, the paper formulates recommendations for necessary changes and shifts in practice to recognise the children-friendly practices in asylum procedures.

    The paper presents the results of research to determine the impact of disruptions occurring during the launch of missile on the stability of operation of an optoelectronic scanning and tracking IR seeker (homing head). The main task of the seeker is to detect and then precisely track an air target. In the tests, the dynamic disruptions due to overloads acting on the seeker during the launch of the missile system were taken into account. The test results are presented in a graphic form.
    W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań mających na celu określenie wpływu zakłóceń pochodzących od startu pocisku rakietowego na stabilność pracy zaprojektowanej, optoelektronicznej głowicy skanująco-śledzącej. Podstawowym zadaniem głowicy jest wykrycie, a następnie precyzyjne śledzenie wykrytego celu powietrznego. W badaniach uwzględnione zostały zakłócenia dynamiczne pochodzące od przeciążeń działających na głowicę w trakcie startu pocisku rakietowego. Wyniki badań zaprezentowano w formie graficznej.

    This paper discusses tests designed to determine the dynamic reactions occurring in the bearings installed as aligned with the axis of rotation of a rotor for a new design of IR seeker. The seeker is intended to detect and track airborne targets that emit electromagnetic radiation in the infrared spectrum. The tests included dynamic reactions from the rotation of the rotor and reactions from the overloads applied to the seeker during the flight of its rocket missile. The test results are represented in a graphic format.
    W pracy przedstawiono badania mające na celu określenie reakcji dynamicznych występujących w łożyskach zamontowanych na osi obrotu rotora zaprojektowanej głowicy skanująco-śledzącej. Powyższa głowica przeznaczona jest do wykrywania oraz śledzenia celów powietrznych emitujących promieniowanie elektromagnetyczne w zakresie podczerwieni. W badaniach uwzględnione zostały reakcje dynamiczne pochodzące od ruchu obrotowego rotora, jak również reakcje wynikające z przeciążeń działających na głowicę w trakcie lotu pocisku rakietowego. Wyniki badań zaprezentowano w formie graficznej.

    The chief aim of this paper is to demonstrate beyond reasonable doubt how, through an essential misunderstanding of the nature of philosophy, and science, over the past several centuries, the prevailing Western tendency to reduce the whole of science to mathematical physics unwittingly generated utopian socialism as a political substitute for metaphysics. In short, being unable speculatively, philosophically, and metaphysically to justify this reduction, some Western intellectuals re-conceived the natures of philosophy, science, and metaphysics as increasingly enlightened, historical and political forms of the evolution of human consciousness toward creation of systematic science, a science of clear and distinct ideas. In the process they unwittingly wound up reducing contemporary philosophy and Western higher education largely into tools of utopian socialist political propaganda.
