Opis:
The opportunity of application of composite (chaotically - spatial) materials in the pairs of friction of axle box frictional dampers of passenger car truck is considered. The number of materials of a various composition for frictional interaction, ensuring a stable work of integrations in the period of the set term of service life, is investigated. The investigations of wear of elements of mobile integrations are carried out and the principal parameter of longevity of integrations (a speed of wearing) is determined. The recommendations on preferable application of the considered materials are given.

The series of articles describing aerodynamic phenomena caused by train passage characterise the interaction of a train travelling at high speed with the moving train itself, on other trains, on trackside objects and on people. This interaction can be of two types – generated pressure and slipstream. Apart from the literature analysis, the author’s research was also taken into account. The first part presents the general classification of aerodynamic phenomena, the pressure change waveform in open space caused by the passage of a train and the pressure interaction with trackside objects. Conclusions are presented on the construction of a high-speed rail vehicle and the strength and location of structures on high-speed lines.

Opis:
Transportation of people and freight is carried out with the use of railways, roads, airways and waterways. Polish and European railway carriers can compete with other modes of transport only if technical and construction norms of railways are standardized. Currently the European mark et for rail transport covers diverse technical and operational standards. These include among others: technical solutions of overhead line, permissible curve radii limits, types of rail track facilities, platform heights, clearance. A variety of the existing systems and related regulations is a serious barrier in an attempt to make technical standards uniform across Europe. Similar problems also occur in the Polish technical standards related to railway infrastructure. Despite the consistency of the current technical standards in regulations and norms regarding surveys of the geometry of rail track facilities, there are inconsistencies in the field of surveying, diagnostics, and even mapping. Rail track facilities, such as turnouts and crossovers are among the most sensitive places in the railway tracks. They may result in reducing the speed of trains running via through stations. Also they significantly inhibit motion works on holding tracks and marshalling yards. Increasing rail infrastructure decapitalization leads to a decrease in the level of transportation safety and rail capacity.

Ten rolling stock manufacturers were operating in Poland in 2020. These were both domestic enterprises (Pesa, Newag) as well as branches of foreign concerns (Siemens, Bombardier, Alstom, Stadler). A similar division can be deemed conventional since the aforementioned enterprises employ mostly Polish specialists or managers – and work with Polish subcontractors. On the other hand, Polish manufacturers use mainly imported components in the production process. The range of the currently manufactured rolling stock is quite wide – from multiple units to locomotives with electric and diesel drives, adapted to run on both standard and broad gauge tracks. Polish plants also manufacture underground train-sets, mostly for export. New rolling stock orders placed by operators are carried out with the support of EU funding programmes.

This piece is dedicated to the description of the development of collision risk mitigating system. The proposed concept of control system is designed to enhance safety of passengers, a driver and other people in vicinity of light rail vehicles (tramways). The requirements were fulfilled thanks to the application of lidar sensor and feature of vehicle positioning on the track map created basing on precise measurements with the use of satellite navigation system Real Time Kinematic. The map allows to eliminate errors of system operation and to enhance resistance to unfavorable ambient conditions, i.e. temperature or fog. The system calculates work braking distance for particular vehicle speed. In case of obstacle detection which is closer to vehicle than the calculated braking distance, the driver is informed about a collision risk with a buzzer and optical signalization. The system has already been implemented and tested.

The article observes problems of detection of rolling bearing damages in rail vehicles. Two methods of bearing damage detection are examined – according to heating of axleboxes and by vibro-diagnostic manner. The disadvantage of vibro-diagnostic method is that a contact vibration sensor is used for vibration diagnostics, intervention into rail vehicle structure is required. The method according to heating of axle-boxes also has drawbacks. The same temperature value of axle-box in various conditions may characterize different bearing technical state. The Authors studied a possibility to use temperature change intensity parameters as the diagnostics criteria. Based on the examples of axle-box temperature measurement data, Authors developed and proposed a methodology for detecting axle-box bearings defects. The Authors suggest the use the method according to heating of axle-boxes. The given example proofs that the fact of the presence of their damages can be unambiguously identified by the intensity of temperature change of the axle-boxes.

Rail passenger transport in Poland has been bad luck over 20 years. Their decline was caused by insuffi cient investment both passenger rolling stock and rail infrastructure. As a result, railway off er has become uncompetitive in relation to road transport to the extent that part of the railway sector fell to 4%. Last years, mainly thanks to EU aid founds, condition of railway in Poland has changed for the better. In details, modernization of railway lines have begun, new modern rolling stock have been purchased, which can improve the rail travel quality. However, average age of the fl eet has already begun closer to 30 years.

Opis:
Railway traffic simulation, taking into account operation and maintenance conditions, is not a new issue in the literature. External effects in such networks (e.g. level crossings) were not taken into account in studies. The used models do not take into account sufficiently the process of degradation and recovery of the network. From the technical side, currently carried out simulations are made using similar approaches and techniques as in the initial stage of research. Well-established work in this area could be the basis for evaluation of new solutions. However, the progress in simulation tools during the last years, especially in performance and programming architecture, attempts to create a modern simulation tool. In the paper were presented the main assumptions for the evaluated event-based simulation method, with application to stiff-track transportation networks.
