    Opis:
    On the example of plan and construction of The Fish Hatchery Centre in Łopuszna, near Nowy Targ, constructed during the Second World War, exact analysis was carried out concerning forms and regional stylistic of its buildings. During the occupation Polish architects generally were not able to operate freely. However, many of them used every opportunity to make good and valuable architecture and they succeeded in designing excellent buildings despite severe restrictions imposed by Germans. The Centre in Łopuszna and some other projects were significant constructions free from the influence of German architectural style. Polish architects consciously and consistently tried to design buildings according to the characteristic features of Polish architecture. In that way, on the basis of the appreciation of local culture, the great architecture was made, which certainly is a flagship example in Polish architecture.

    The paper attempts to describe the possibilities of shaping the environment and spatial development of the rural administrative areas of Białowieża, using the tools of planning documents. The natural and cultural space of Białowieża rural administrative district is particularly sensitive to any investment activities. It is impossible to overestimate its value, and the need to take care of it is a natural necessity, determining all activities, especially planning and architectural-urban planning ones, responsible for its future shape. The aim of the study is to indicate ways of searching for such possibilities so that the two – natural and cultural – structures harmoniously interpenetrate each other. Subsequent steps and activities are described in detail, starting with a very precise identification of the resources of the space under analysis, followed by the execution of an architectural and urban planning inventory, conducting a nature and landscape study up to the development of a list of parameters and indicators, and ending with the development of a three-dimensional model of the settlement units of the rural district, based on the provisions of the draft local spatial development plan.

    The main aim of the article is to show the significance of the spatial order concerning, in particular, the single-family residential architecture of the Ropczyce and Sędziszów poviat. Single-family architecture of small towns in the Subcarpathian region constitutes the majority of buildings and defines their landscape. Referring to the regional architecture of the selected area and to contemporary foreign practices in the subject of critical regionalism, the author defines the most important features of regional development and solutions that may be a guideline for the design of single-family residential buildings. The characteristics emphasize the value of traditional housing architecture, contributing to drawing attention to the preservation of spatial order and building the identity of the region.
    Głównym celem artykułu jest ukazanie znaczenia ładu przestrzennego dotyczącego w szczególności architektury mieszkalnej jednorodzinnej powiatu ropczycko-sędziszowskiego. Architektura jednorodzinna małych miast Podkarpacia stanowi większość zabudowy i określa ich krajobraz. Nawiązując do architektury regionalnej wybranego obszaru oraz do współczesnych praktyk zagranicznych w temacie regionalizmu krytycznego, autor określa najważniejsze cechy zabudowy regionalnej oraz rozwiązania, które mogą stanowić wytyczną do projektowania budynków mieszkalnych jednorodzinnych. Charakterystyka podkreśla wartość tradycyjnej architektury mieszkaniowej, przyczyniając się do zwrócenia uwagi na zachowanie ładu przestrzennego oraz budowanie tożsamości regionu.

    Karkonosze Mountains localities have a long and rich history. Earlier the building development was unique atmosphere and character. We are most interested in contemporary design at the present time. Intensive construction activity is conducted hastily and ill-conceived in the last two decades. The results of this action are visible both in the perception of space and the shaping of technical infrastructure. This article asserts the validity and utility of a return to the application of the principles of the "The Charter of Sudetes" in designing the landscape by decision-makers and designers. In addition, we present guidelines for development planners for the evaluation of the potential areas of investment. The paper ends with a presentation of practical methods to improve the aesthetic reception building existing and newly designed.
    Miejscowości karkonoskie mają długą i bogatą historię. Wcześniejsza ich zabudowa miała swoisty klimat i charakter. Nas interesują najbardziej czasy współczesne. Intensywna działalność budowlana w ostatnim dwudziestoleciu prowadzona była sposób mało przemyślany, czy wręcz chaotyczny. Efekty są widoczne zarówno w percepcji przestrzeni, jak i kształtowaniu infrastruktury technicznej. W artykule postulujemy powrót decydentów i projektantów do założeń „Karty Sudeckiej” w formowaniu przestrzeni. Przedstawiono też wytyczne dla projektantów planów miejscowych w/w miejscowości, dla wartościowania i waloryzacji potencjalnych obszarów inwestycyjnych. Omówiono głównie praktyczne metody poprawy odbioru estetycznego zabudowy istniejącej, jak i nowo projektowanej.

    Opis:
    Interpretation of the regional high-resolution seismic data of the PolandSPANTM survey in the Grudziądz-Polik area revealed a new depositional architecture of the Upper Cretaceous succession that differs substantially from the previously assumed layer-cake model, commonly applied to Permian-Mesozoic sequences. A previously unrecognized regional unconformity, dividing the Upper Cretaceous succession into two units characterized by very different internal geometries, was identified and mapped. The lower unit, with a generally layer-cake internal pattern, is overlain by an upper unit composed of a regionally low-angle succession that pinches out toward the south. This newly revealed regional pattern remained unrecognized in previous regional compilations based on borehole data, which suggested that a layer-cake depositional architecture prevailed throughout the entire Upper Cretaceous. This new image of Upper Cretaceous depositional patterns has far-reaching consequences for understanding of the evolution of the Polish Basin in the Late Cretaceous, including its subsidence and burial history, deposition, and tectonic development. A re-evaluation of the chronostratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous of the Polish Basin is needed to temporally constrain the succession of sedimentary and tectonic events revealed here.

    The architecture of the XIX-XX century turn was marked by the flourishing of Art Nouveau style. The important point was that the style had its own features in different regions. The individual interpretation of Art Nouveau style methods was given by the outstanding architect of Poland, Russia and Ukraine A. I. Rzhepishevsky. This is clearly illustrated by the example of three objects located on Darvina Street in Kharkiv city.
    Architektura przełomu XIX - XX wieków odznaczyła się rozkwitem secesji. Ważnym punktem było to, że ten styl w różnych regionach miał swoje charakterystyczne cechy. Jego techniki były w szczególny sposób traktowane przez wybitnego architekta Polski, Rosji i Ukrainy Aleksandra Rzepiszewskiego, co najbardziej uwidacznia się na przykładzie trzech obiektów znajdujących się na ulicy Darwina w Charkowie.
