    This study aims to explore the leadership effectiveness that promotes Vocational High School (VHS) revival. The Kerlinger survey method was used to test the notion of emotional maturity, position power, helpful behaviour, and leadership effectiveness. The sample of 252 responders included 84 VHS principals and 168 VHS teachers. According to the confirmatory factor analysis, emotional affirmation established the construct of emotional maturity, position power was best developed coercive power, and readiness to explain the program. Personal traits are the most powerful predictor of leadership effectiveness and the contribution of position power that directly influences helpful behaviour is 4.92%. The contribution of position power to direct leadership effectiveness is 5.19%, and the contribution of supportive conduct to direct leadership effectiveness is 6.05%. The leadership model discovered in this study is innovative that it can empirically explain the dominating elements that compose the latent variables: emotional maturity, position power, supportive leadership style, and leadership effectiveness. These findings greatly impact how leadership science is developed in education, especially vocational.

    A general supply chain functions as a closed cluster and consists of at least three companies: supplier, producer and buyer. In an optimal case the companies within a supply chain are well integrated, partnership rests on trust which results in common strategic decisions. Business practices show that there is a stronger company within the chain that uses its power position to influence network development. The objective of the research is to measure how and what kind of power position is needed to influence the supply chain. The hypothesis states, that power and network development are opposite effects in a supply chain. Statistical examination of data gained from 221 companies state that the company with power position has advantages if the supply chain extends. SPSS analysis proves that the hypothesis is false and opens a new direction of research. Companies within the supply chain have to cope with power structures while cooperating with each other. They tend to look for solutions to ease dependency. Using or misusing power has several factors; mainly they are inherited from the strongest link of the supply chain. This is usually a problem but the results of the statistical analysis show that still a win-win situation is needed for the companies in order to deepen the cooperation. To conclude this research the data shows that the goal is to be more competitive as a chain, not just as a company.

    Many kinds of power-assist robots have been developed in order to assist daily activities or rehabilitation of the elderly or physically weak persons. Upper-limb power-assist robots are important to assist in many daily life activities such as eating, drinking, etc.. A human upper-limb has 7 degrees of freedom to achieve various tasks dexterously. Therefore, to assist all upper-limb joint motions of a human, the upper-limb power-assist robot is required to have 7DOF. To achieve a desired task, a person moves the hand to the desired position and orientation and/or applies certain amount of force to the target. Therefore, it is important that the upper-limb power-assist robots help control the hand position/ orientation or hand force of the user. However, the hand position/orientation or hand force is 6-dimensional vector, so the 7DOF upper-limb power-assist robot has a redundancy and in general, a pseudo-inverse matrix is used in the control. In this paper, an optimal control method is proposed to deal with the redundancy of the upper-limb power-assist exoskeleton robot considering comfortable motion of the user. The motion intention and the comfort of the user are taken into account in the pro-posed method. The effectiveness of the proposed method was evaluated by the experiments.

    In the introduction the main drivers of Brazilian foreign policy strategy will be analyzed. In fact, it means that regional and international position of Brazil will be presented having in mind the social, economic, political, scientific‑technological, and military potential. Furthermore, the Brazilian regional policy will be presented briefly as well as its relations with USA, Russian Federation and the European Union. In order to summarize, the intention is to conclude that Brazil is becoming not only a  regional leader of Latin America but also a very important member of the so‑called BRIC countries. A  short overview of Brazilian‑Balkan relations will be analyzed having in mind the fact that in spite of the absence of more significant economic and commercial cooperation the political and diplomatic presence of Brazil is continuous in this region. Finally, it should be underlined that Brazil was a  constant peace observer and protagonist during the Yugoslav crisis.

    Opis:
    The scope of this manuscript is to propose a method of estimation of state's economic position. To evaluate an economic position, we apply formal analysis on Sułek's model of economic power, and analyze its factors. We evaluate whether the variables taken in a formal model are independent or not. In case they are strongly correlated, we split them or, if it is not possible, we create new factors which puts together correlated units. We apply various methods of predictions of economic power; in particular neural networks which do not require the normal distribution of errors. Finally, we estimate the state's economic position on the basis of formal analysis, predictions, and in comparison to selected economic rankings. All the results are figured out for Nigeria.
    Celem niniejszego artykułu jest opracowanie metodyki szacowania pozycji ekonomicznej państwa. Do oceny pozycji ekonomicznej zastosowano analizę formalną w oparciu o model siły ekonomicznej Sułka i dokonano analizy jej czynników. Oceniono stopień niezależności zmiennych uwzględnionych w modelu formalnym. W przypadku gdy są one silnie skorelowane, rozdzielono je lub, jeśli nie było to możliwe, utworzono nowe czynniki, które łączą skorelowane jednostki. Zastosowano różne metody predykcji siły ekonomicznej, w szczególności oparte na sieciach neuronowych, które nie wymagają normalnego rozkładu błędów. Na koniec oszacowano pozycję gospodarczą państwa na podstawie analizy formalnej, prognoz oraz w porównaniu z wybranymi rankingami gospodarczymi. Wszystkie wyniki opracowano dla Nigerii.

    Opis:
    The article concerns the aspects of vector analysis of current and voltage distorted waveforms in three-phase circuits from the point of higher harmonic content. Apart from that, the work contains the results of the analysis of current's vector harmonic based on the complex SDFT. These results have been obtained after having conducted a simulation. The article also tackles the proposal of accelerating the SDFT algorithm in order to facilitate its implementation in real-time systems.
    Artykuł przedstawia aspekty wektorowej analizy odkształconych przebiegów prądów i napięć w układach trójfazowych pod kątem zawartości wyższych harmonicznych. Praca zawiera również wyniki analizy harmonicznej wektora prądu opartej o transformatę Fouriera zmiennej zespolonej ze ślizgającym oknem (complex SDFT) uzyskane na drodze symulacji oraz propozycję przyspieszenia algorytmu SDFT w celu ułatwienia jego implementacji w układach pracujących w czasie rzeczywistym.
