The main aim of the article is to bring the understanding of operational statistics of airports closer to readers. What is the essence of the execution and what belongs to them. For this article, we chose the Airport Kosice and present its operational statistics in a specific year. In the introduction are some business companies at the airport as well as the airport itself. The number of transported passengers as one of the most basic airport operation services is dealt with in the scheduled and non scheduled passenger transport for the chosen year. Finally, it is connected to the global overtaking operations of Kosice Airport. All of these indicators are graphically displayed for easier comprehension for the reader, the portions of the transported passengers for each selected transport segment.

This paper focuses on analysis of arrival behavioural pattern of air travellers and provides operational data gathered through three independent data collection capaigns at three different airports. This paper aims at comprehensive analysis of the arrival processes at the following airports: Bratislava Airport in the Slovak Republic (LZIB), Brno-Turany Airport in the Czech Republic (LKTB) and Hamburg Airport (EDDH) in Germany. This paper also provides a description the airports in terms of annual passenger throughput, number of movements and further airside and landside characteristics.

The paper studied the work of bus routes passing through a street. Optimality criterion was chosen for the development of appropriate models of effective work of buses on the land. The paper proposes a new model costing time passengers at bus stops. A method of technique was developed to coordinate the buses running on the combined section of route.
В статье изучена работа автобусных маршрутов проходящих по одной улице. Выбран критерий оптимальности для разработки целесообразной модели эффективной работы автобусов по рассматриваемому участку. В статье предложена новая модель оценки затрат времени пассажиров на остановках. Разработана методика координации работы автобусов работающих на совмещенном участке маршрута.

Uchwalenie dyrektywy Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady 2013/11/UE z 21.05.2013 r. w sprawie alternatywnych metod rozstrzygania sporów konsumenckich oraz zmiany rozporządzenia (WE) nr 2006/2004 i dyrektywy 2009/22/WE oraz rozporządzenia Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady (UE) nr 524/2013 z dnia 21.05.2013 r. w sprawie internetowego systemu rozstrzygania sporów konsumenckich oraz zmiany rozporządzenia (WE) nr 2006/2004 i dyrektywy 2009/22/WE miało na celu umożliwienie konsumentom rozstrzyganie sporów z przedsiębiorcami z wykorzystaniem alternatywnych metod ich rozwiązywania. By zapewnić konsumentom realizację praw przyznanych im przez prawo unijne, w drodze implementacji rozporządzeń doszło do zmiany ustawy z dnia 3.07.2003r. – Prawo lotnicze (tj. Dz.U. z 2019r., poz. 1580), na mocy której powstała instytucja Rzecznika Praw Pasażerów przy Urzędzie Lotnictwa Cywilnego, który jest podmiotem uprawnionym do prowadzenia postępowania w sprawie pozasądowego rozwiązywania sporów konsumenckich między pasażerem a przewoźnikiem lotniczym, organizatorem turystyki albo sprzedającym bilety lotnicze, wpisanym do rejestru podmiotów uprawnionych . Niniejsze opracowanie ma na celu zaprezentowanie regulacji prawnej dotyczącej postępowania przed Rzecznikiem, ze wskazaniem pozycji ustrojowej Rzecznika Praw Pasażerów oraz jego zespołu.
The adoption of Directive 2013/11/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21.05.2013 on alternative dispute resolution methods for the settlement of consumer disputes and amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC and Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21.05.2013 on the online system of consumer disputes resolution and amending Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 and Directive 2009/22/EC, was intended to enable consumers to resolve disputes with entrepreneurs using alternative dispute resolution methods. In order to ensure that consumers can exercise the rights granted to them by EU law, by way of implementation of the Regulations there has been an amendment of the Act of 3 July 2003 - Aviation law (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1580), on the basis of which the institution of the Passenger Ombudsman at the Civil Aviation Office was established, which is an entity entitled to conduct proceedings for the out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes between a passenger and an air carrier, tour operator, or seller of air tickets, entered into the register of entitled entities. The purpose of this study is to present the legal regulation concerning proceedings before the Ombudsman, indicating the political position of the Passenger Ombudsman and his team using analytical and comparative research methods.

In cities with developed transport infrastructure, many people use public transport in their everyday lives. In order for the passenger's journey to be comfortable and for the passenger to travel more willingly by tram than by car, many conditions must be met. A passenger must feel comfortable in a public transport vehicle, which includes, among others: appropriate temperature in the vehicle, no crowding, the possibility to seat, the possibility of a quick vehicle-change, short travel time, no noise and many others. A very important criterion from the point of view of travel comfort is also the level of vibrations in the tram. A tendency can be noticed that vehicles with a low vibration level are rated much higher by public transport passengers and citizens. Vibration itself can also be an indirect cause of noise. The greater the noise, the greater the dissatisfaction of the passenger which indicates the high role of vibrations as a factor of passenger satisfaction or dissatisfaction. The aim of the work is to test and evaluate the vibration level in the partially low-floor Moderus Beta MF 02 AC tram manufactured by the company Modertrans Poznań in Poland. Assessed was be the vibration comfort in selected points of the vehicle, including the floor and passenger seat. The level of vibrations in trams of the same type were compared. Due to the lack of specific Polish regulations regarding the permissible level of vibration in trams, an attempt was made to compare the obtained results with railway standards requirements or foreign countries requirements. The study proved that the level of vibrations differs in trams belonging to the same type. Significant damping of vibrations in the vertical direction by the passenger seat was observed. Maximum level of vibrations in the passenger area of the vehicle was observed on the floor above the bogie. It was found when comparing the values of vibration accelerations and comfort indicators with railway standards - that the Moderus Beta tram on the reference section of the track could be considered as a very comfortable vehicle.

The paper dwells on a mathematical model of the logistical system of transport services for persons with disabilities, and there have been analyzed factors that affect the time spent on their transportation. When developing methodology for optimizing the time costs of passenger transport of persons with disabilities, the following two basic transportation services have been taken into account: (a) "social taxi", which will transport only people with special health; (b) a vehicle system in combination with urban passenger transport, which will transport representatives of the group of people with restricted mobility together with all other passengers. The study found that in the case of insufficient accessibility to the required environment, by the increase in the demand of disabled people for transportation by "social taxi", travelling costs are increased that results in increasing total costs of the carrier. Based on a comparative analysis of logistical costs, optimum relationship between the number of the adapted buses and “social taxi” on the route under study has been established.

The article (part 1) contains an analysis of Polish passenger transport in regular and charter traffic specifically relating to airports, cities and countries for the years 2011–2018. The aim of this article is to deepen the knowledge on this topic. The trend occurring in the examined period was analyzed and conclusions relating to the changing transport structure were made. The compilation of statistical data made it possible to carry out the analysis based on the available resources of the Central Statistical Office and the Civil Aviation Office. This enabled the current gap in literature to be filled, where previously information was compiled only for each year separately.
Niniejszy artykuł (część 1) zawiera analizę polskich przewozów pasażerskich w ruchu regularnym i czarterowym ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem: portów lotniczych, miast oraz przewoźników w latach 2011–2018. Celem artykułu jest pogłębienie wiedzy na ten temat. Zbadana została tendencja zachodząca w badanym okresie i wysunięto wnioski związane ze zmieniającą się strukturą przewozową. Zebranie danych statystycznych potwierdziło możliwość przeprowadzenia analizy opierając się na dostępnych zasobach Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego oraz Urzędu Lotnictwa Cywilnego. Dzięki temu została uzupełniona luka w literaturze, gdzie informacje zestawiono tylko dla każdego roku osobno.

In this study, a mathematical method is proposed for calculating the concentration field of air ions of different polarities and dust levels in the passenger compartment, taking into account the geometry of the passenger compartment and seats, shelves, and other internal elements of the passenger compartment. The method also takes into account changes in the rate of the air flow ventilation, the location and number of ionizers, and sources of positive ions and dust, taking into account their different intensities and locations. On the basis of a numerical model for this method, software has been developed that allows users to carry out computational experiments without requiring much time for calculation. Based on the results, the optimal location of the ionizer in the passenger compartment of the car was determined to ensure comfortable conditions for the stay of passengers, which favorably affects their health. It has been found that the presence of two ionizers is optimal for creating comfort in the car with an ionization intensity of Qn= 0.47 ×1010 ions/s located at the top of the car. If there is one ionizer located on the dashboard or at the top of the car with a higher ionization rate than ions/s, it is not possible to simultaneously provide optimal ionization parameters for passengers in the front and rear seats of the car.

The maritime transport in Bulgaria is controlled and coordinated by the Executive Agency "Maritime administration". This institutionis a legal entity on budget support to the Ministry of transport, information technology and communications, a second level user of budget credits, based in Sofia with regional offices in Bourgas, Varna, Lom and Rousse (where are the Bulgarian major ports). EAMA status is regulated by the Merchant Shipping Code – Art. 360, para. 1. The problem of forecasting in the new strategic documents is crucial to the formation of proper infrastructure policy which has to be innovative and for the future strategic development of the tourism in the country. This paper is aimed at presenting the lack of real forecasting in many of the strategic documents and projects adopted for the development of the maritime transport in Bulgaria (i.e. Directive2008/106/EC of European Parliament and Council on the minimum level of training of sea farers; Ordinance No. 9 of 2013 on the requirements for operational suitability of ports and specialised port facilities; Ordinance No. 10 of 2014 on the scope and content, preparation, approval and amendment of the general plans of the public transport ports). There are also many Mutual Agreements for Recognition of Seafarers" certificates. The paper provides a practical example for the use of the so called single or simple exponential smoothing without the presence of any seasonality and the lack of cyclicity on the number of passengersarrivals at the Bulgarian maritime ports.

The second half of the twentieth century brought very potent urbani zation processes, linked to an increasing population growth together with an industry growth with declining demand for workers in rural areas. Cities population in the world accounts currently around 54% of the global population (compared with 33% in 1960), in Europe it is 73% and in Poland it is above 60%. Trends are clearly rising (UN data for 2014 [3]). Urbanization is followed by a rapid urban sprawl resulting from fashion – moving to suburbs is a sign of wealth and good social position, together with lack of sufficient investments in affordable housing estates and better life quality in suburbs – larger homes and green areas, lower maintenance costs.

The paper presents the analysis of ride comfort of a railway vehicle based on the results of numerical simulations for a model of a passenger car moving along a tangent track with random geometrie irregularities. The lateral and vertical rms accelerations in 1/3 octave frequency bands as wen as the weighted rms accelerations are calculated at several positions within the car body for two track sections with different track condition and for various vehicle velocities. The obtained accelerations are compared with the comfort and decreased fatigue boundaries according to the ISO 2631-1 and PN-91/S-04100 standards.
W pracy przedstawiono analizę komfortu jazdy pasażera pojazdu szynowego na podstawie wyników symulacji numerycznych dla modelu wagonu pasażerskiego poruszającego po torze prostym i sztywnym o losowych nierównościach geometrycznych. Wyznaczono poprzeczne i pionowe przyspieszenia skuteczne w pasmach tercjowych oraz odpowiadające im przyspieszenia ważone dla różnych położeń pasażera wewnątrz nadwozia pojazdu. Badania przeprowadzono dla dwóch odcinków toru o różnym stanie utrzymania oraz dla różnych prędkości jazdy. Otrzymane przyspieszenia porównano z wartościami granicznymi określonymi w normach ISO 2631-1 i PN-91/S-04100.

Niniejszy artykuł (część 2) zawiera analizę polskich przewozów pasażerskich w ruchu regularnym i czarterowym z wyszczególnieniem państw w latach 2011–2018. Przedstawiono prognozę wzrostu ruchu na rynku lotniczym do 2035 r. Odniesiono się do sytuacji związanej z pandemią na początku marca 2020 r. Zbadana została tendencja zachodząca w badanym okresie i wysunięto wnioski związane ze zmieniającą się strukturą przewozową. Zebranie danych statystycznych potwierdziło możliwość przeprowadzenia analizy z wykorzystaniem dostępnych zasobów danych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego oraz Urzędu Lotnictwa Cywilnego. Dzięki temu została uzupełniona luka w literaturze, gdzie informacje zestawiono tylko dla każdego roku osobno.

Opis:
In the past, railway transition curves were not used. Instead of it, a simple connection of the straight track and circular arc was applied. Nowadays, such simplicity is not allowed due to the increasing vehicle operating velocities. It is mainly visible in the high-speed train lines, where long curves are used. The article aims to develop a new shape of railway transition curves for which passenger travel comfort will be as high as possible. Considerations in this paper concern the polynomials of 9th- and 11th-degrees, which were adopted to the mathematical model of the mentioned shape of curves. The study's authors applied a 2-axle rail vehicle model combined with mathematically understood optimisation methods. The advanced vehicle model can better assign the dynamical properties of railway transition curves to freight and passenger vehicles. The mentioned model was adopted to simulate rail vehicle movement in both cases of the shape of transition curves and the shape of circular arc (for comparison of the results). Passenger comfort, described by European Standard EN 12299, was used as the assessment criterion. The work showed that the method using the 2-axle railway vehicle model combined with mathematically understood optimisation works correctly, and the optimisation of the transition curve shape is possible. The current study showed that the 3rd-degree parabola (the shape of the curve traditionally used in railway engineering) is not always the optimum shape. In many cases (especially for the long curves), the optimum shape of curves is between the standard transition curves and the linear curvature of the 3rd-degree parabola. The new shapes of the railway transition curves obtained when the passenger comfort is taken into account result in new railway transition curves shapes. In the authors' opinion, the results presented in the current work are a novelty in optimisation and the properties assessment of railway transition curves.

The article presents findings of a survey research carried out on a group of the deaf and the hard of hearing. The objective of the research was to evaluate the quality of public transport in urbanized areas in Poland, identify problems that the deaf and the hard of hearing face while using public transport, and to review a selection of solutions facilitating mobility of this group of people. The survey was conducted on a group of 71 persons, of whom 65% were women and 35% were men. The group surveyed was active professionally and socially, thus they used public transport daily or several times a week, which they confirmed in surveys. Most of them (65%) were persons with profound hearing loss (above 90 dB), 17% with severe hearing loss (71-90 dB), and 11% with moderate hearing loss (41-70 dB). Public transport and its accessibility for the given group in the urban area where they live was assessed as very good by 8% - 17% of the surveyed, good: 23% - 46%, sufficient: 13% - 25%, bad: 13% - 25%, very bad: 3% - 28%. The results presented on the assessment of public transport by the deaf and the hard of hearing indicate that accessibility of public transport in Poland for this group of passengers is on a sufficient level. The assessment of public transport in Poland, performed in the survey, allowed the identification of vital problems the deaf and the hard of hearing face when they use the infrastructure and means of public transport. The article presented a selection of technical solutions used in public transport vehicles in Germany, Austria, Great Britain, France, Poland and Czech. The following aspects were in the focus of this paper: information displayed at stations and train platforms; the passenger information system in vehicles; spots at railway stations where the deaf may obtain help connected with their journey; applications that enable planning a journey. These solutions aim at facilitating travel for the deaf and the hard of hearing.
