Opis:
The paper’s subject is comparative analysis of database access technologies. It presents the evolution of the discussed technologies, which are divided into the following categories: single-platform and multi-platform technologies. Sample programs showing the use of programming interfaces, used for initiating and establishing connections with databases and performing simple operations on them. A database diagram, which was used for measuring efficiency of selected technologies as well as testing plan and concept, system and hardware parameters, tested queries and the program skeleton that was used for measuring the efficiency of selected technologies, were presented. The results were grouped according to 4 query types and 3 operating systems. A description was attached to each graph. Conclusions were provided for query tests for each of the operating systems. Finally, the most efficient technologies were discussed, potential causes of increase or decrease in efficiency were presented, and the results were summarized.

The aim of the present paper is to discuss Socrates’ idea of philosophy asa service to the god. First the article investigates why Chaerephon wentto Delphi and why he asked Pythia the famous question concerningSocrates. The investigation provides a basis for distinguishing two majorperiods in his activity. The one preceding the Delphic oracle consists inconducting inquiries in a group of closest friends. The one following theDelphic oracle consist in addressing a much larger audience. An analysisof both periods suggests that the oracle from Delphi greatly affectedSocrates’ relations with other Athenians. While the present article dealsalso with the issue of Socrates’ daimonion, it hypothesizes that the voiceof daimonion and the voice of Pythia could be regarded as Apollo’sinterventions.

Opis:
This paper presents a new solution for adding a new database server on an existing Oracle Multimaster data replication system. In normal conditions adding a new database server on this system we cannot insert, delete and update data during this time. So during this time the system is down and we can make only queries. The time for adding the new database server depends on the number of tables on the replication group and on the network conditions. To reduce this time we propose to replace the Replication group in more than one replication group based on logic of database schema. So we will have a replication group for base data, one replication group for most populated tables and another group for non most used tables. Using this method on the Oracle database schema with 250 replication tables and communication speed 1Mbit/s, the time reduced seven times. This research is implemented on border control system (Total Information Management System at Ministry of Interior) in Albania and using this solution we can add or remove replication sites with minimal down time.

In this paper, we design and analyse the Circuit for Grover’s Quantum Search Algorithm on 2, 3 and 4-qubit systems, in terms of number of gates, representation of state vectors and measurement probability for the state vectors. We designed, examined and simulated the quantum circuit on IBM Q platform using Quantum Programming Studio. We present the theoretical implementation of the search algorithm on different qubit systems. We observe that our circuit design for 2 and 4-qubit systems are precise and do not introduce any error while experiencing a small error to our design of 3-qubit quantum system.

Schöning and Ko respectively introduced the concepts of helping and one-side-helping, and then defined new operators, Phelp(•) and P1-help(•), acting on classes of sets C and returning classes of sets Phelp(C) and P1-help(C). A number of results have been obtained on this subject, principally devoted to understanding how wide the Phelp(C) and P1-help(C) classes are. For example, it seems that the Phelp(•) operator contracts NP ∩ coNP}, while the P1-help(•) operator enlarges UP. To better understand the relative power of P1-help(•) versus Phelp(•) we propose to search, for every relativizable class D containing P, the largest relativizable class C containing P such that for every oracle B PBhelp(CB)? PB1-help(DB). In the following paper: Cintioli P. and Silvestri R. 1997 Inf. Proc. Let. 61 189, it has been observed that Phelp(UP ∩ coUP)= P1-help(UP ∩ coUP), and this is true in any relativized world. In this paper we consider the case of D=UP ∩ coUP and demonstrate the existence of an oracle A for which PAhelp(UPA2 ∩ coUPA2) is not contained in PA1-help(UPA ∩ coUPA). We also prove that for every integer k ≥ 2 there exists an oracle A such that PAhelp(UPAk ∩ coUPAk) ? UPAk.

Opis:
Ensuring the confidentiality, privacy and integrity of data is a major issue for the security of database systems. In this paper the author investigates the efficiency of data processing in relational database management system Oracle 10g when built-in mechanism called Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) is used to encrypt table columns in order to increase data confidentiality and for data integrity control. Transparent Data Encryption supports table columns encryption using 3DES and AES algorithms with 128-, 192, 256-bits key length and data integrity using cryptographic hash function SHA-1.

The paper presents a new concept of attack on trust and reputation systems. The oracle attack could violate the security provided by some of the existing reputation systems. The formal model of the attack is presented in the article on the base of the reference trust model, provided bythe author. The author has proved that this type of attack could be eficient. On the other hand,a sort of measures is provided in the paper which could be implemented in the reputation systems to overcome identified vulnerabilities, unfortunately at the cost of increase of system complication. The paper also provides a definition of intelligent strategies of attacks on trust and reputation systems based on cooperation of many malicious nodes and justifies why this type of attacks is a serious threat.

Opis:
We proposed an efficient and secure digital signature scheme using elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) and bilinear pairings in this paper. The proposed scheme employs the general cryptographic hash function (i.e., SHA-1) instead of map-to-point function, because the map-to-point is a cost-intensive operation and it is usually implemented as a probabilistic algorithm. Further, our scheme is computationally efficient as one bilinear paring and three elliptic curve scalar point multiplication operations are executed for signature generation and verification, and thus the scheme requires much lesser computation cost than other related schemes. In addition, in the random oracle model, our scheme is proven to be existential unforgeable against the adaptive chosen message and identity attacks (EUF-CMA) based on a variation of the collusion attack algorithm with ktraitors (k-CAA3) problem.
