    Opis:
    The purpose of the article/hypothesis: The aim of the article is to review and present changes to the consumer bankruptcy law and the implications of these changes for individual debtors. Methodology: The study deals with the effects of bankruptcy proceedings against individual debtors who do not conduct business activity (remission of bankrupt's liabilities, or at least partial repayment of creditors by the debtors) together with the analysis of changes in the law. It will be used to verify the hypothesis that the liberalization of regulations has resulted in an increase in the number of consumer bankruptcy petitions filed, as well as open bankruptcy proceedings conducted against individual debtors. Results of the research: The results of the analysis presented in the paper support the hypothesis that the liberalization of regulations in the area of consumer bankruptcy has resulted in a significant increase in the number of consumer bankruptcy petitions and open bankruptcy proceedings against individual debtors. It seems that as crucial as creating a possibility for the indebted to return to normality in the form of consumer bankruptcy, it is equally important to take care of the sense of equality in this process. It is vital to be aware that consumer debt relief comes at the expense of other market participants – obviously direct creditors but the general public as well.
    Cel artykułu/hipoteza: Celem artykułu jest dokonanie przeglądu i przedstawienie zmian przepisów dotyczących upadłości konsumenckiej oraz konsekwencji, które wynikają z tych zmian dla osób fizycznych nieprowadzących działalności gospodarczej. Metodyka: Przeprowadzone badanie efektów postępowań upadłościowych prowadzonych wobec osób fizycznych nieprowadzących działalności gospodarczej wraz z dokonaną analizą zmian przepisów posłużą do zweryfikowania hipotezy, że liberalizacja przepisów spowodowała wzrost liczby złożonych wniosków o ogłoszenie upadłości konsumenckiej, jak i otwartych postępowań upadłościowych prowadzonych wobec osób fizycznych nieprowadzących działalności gospodarczej. Wyniki/Rezultaty badania: Wyniki przeprowadzonej w artykule analizy pozwalają stwierdzić, że hipoteza została potwierdzona, ponieważ liberalizacja przepisów w obszarze upadłości konsumenckiej spowodowała istotny wzrost liczby wniosków o ogłoszenie upadłości konsumenckiej oraz otwartych postępowań upadłościowych prowadzonych wobec osób fizycznych nieprowadzących działalności gospodarczej. Wydaje się, że rów–nie ważne, jak stwarzanie możliwości do powrotu do normalności dla osób zadłużonych w postaci rozwiązania jakim jest upadłość konsumencka, jest zadbanie o wiążące się z tym zagadnienie poczucia równości. Trzeba mieć świadomość, że oddłużenie konsumenta odbywa się kosztem innych uczestników rynku – bezpośrednich wierzycieli oraz ogółu społeczeństwa.

    The idea of human rights is connected to the modern perception of law founded on subjectivity, in the context of which rights are authorizations of individual action versus a higher authority, resulting in a subjectivity of law. The huge importance of the thomistic perception of the person is connected with the issue of relations between the individual and society, as well as relations between law and state, since Thomas Aquinas foresaw what we call ‘rights of man’. Thus, the person, in a metaphysical context, is associated with natural order, since natural sociability forms the basis of a person’s supernatural fulfillment. Because of his social nature, the person is also a carrier of social relations and a product of his own encounter with other persons. In this way, Thomas Aquinas makes a synthesis of man per se, as part of mankind, and man as a person vis-à-vis others in the sphere of justice, consisting ‘in rendering to each one his right’. Ius is a relation of justice concerning what is right (iustum) from the point of view of the other, “to whom something is due.” Aquinas can be considered a forerunner of human rights of the modern era, as demonstrated by the issue of natural equity, the issue of unjust law and obedience and the issue of political legitimization. In this framework, “human” or “natural” rights are considered moral rights. However, in the sphere of law they are perceived only within the community and common good, by no means constituting exclusive and absolute rights but only rights corresponding with duties and obligations. The Thomistic approach expresses both the free side of man vis-à-vis the state and its structures (in the spiritual level) and the egalitarian demand of law within social relations. Furthermore, it places the sphere of law on the background of common good and common interest. The Thomistic approach of the human person is a response to the modern perception of legal subjectivity and the priority of individuals, associated with the ideology of rights and leading to a confrontation of individual and society and a division of man to natural man and citizen, a product of the antithesis between society and state.

    On this article is to emphasize the heuristic potential of the natural correspondence ideas of J.A. Comenius in the philosophical and its importance for the pedagogy of Ukraine in the present times. The urgency of the topic chosen is caused by the fact that during the years of total com-munist ideology domination in the Ukrainian society there was an endless struggle against the scientific free-thinking, the original creative thought was destroyed and distorted, the history of its formation and development was suppressed and falsified. It is possible to restore the lost cultural heritage and the broken connection of generations only if each creator of our intellectual and cultural heritage is returned to the Motherland. In works J.A. Comenius developed the principle of the nature conformity, previously proposed. He presented it as free development of the child's potential and abilities. The organic unity of a person and nature considered the natural state of the child's personality, which should become the solid foundation of educational activity. In education a person is seen neither as a way of implementing certain educational projects, nor as an instrument of manipulation, but as a goal, as an active subject capable to create an understanding of the world around and, at the same time, to defend his own unique identity. J.A. Comenius’ idea connected with the principle of nature correspondence is the understanding of a person as a world in a diminished forms that is as a peculiar Microcosm. The researchers reveal a concept of a holistic personality. The integrity of the individual the scientists understands as the process of accumulation of the natural and socio-cultural environment properties within a person, and analyzes it in two dimensions: psychophysiological and sociocultural. The ideas of great pedagogical thinkers highlighted in the article are consonant with the present and are of great importance for the education system reformation and the creation of a new Ukrainian school.

    W artykule zgłębiono pojęcie osoby ludzkiej w świetle encykliki Humanae vitae z 1968 roku, ogłoszonej przez papieża Pawła VI, podkreślając potrzebę zrozumienia życia ludzkiego oraz przyglądając się wzrostowi i rozwojowi człowieka, identyfikując współczesne wyzwania stojące przed życiem ludzkim oraz to, w jaki sposób wyzwania te zagrażają uporządkowaniu na nowo kwestii roli kobiet i wartości dzieci w społeczeństwie.

    The author seeks to show how participation serves as a focal point of a Thomistic personalist account of natural law. While Aquinas himself does not invoke the concept of person in his account of natural law, the author argues that participation can and should be understood as a personal act. According to her, justification for this interpretation is found in the commonality of rationality: that which both makes a substance to be a person and renders the participation of man in the eternal law to be a truly natural law.

    The aim of the paper is to present the most important results of the research carried out for the case study on the
    effects of Rail Baltica investments in the Warsaw Metropolitan Area (WMA) urban node. The research was carried out
    as part of the EU project NSB CoRe (North Sea Baltic Connector of Regions). In the article the main conclusions from the
    study are presented, describing changes that have supervened in the analyzed area (communes within the boundaries
    of the WMA, at a distance of up to 3 km from the E75 railway line and ones crossed by national road 8/S8) in the period
    of the E75 line’s modernization. The analysis focuses on changes in settlement structure as well as the functioning of
    railway transport, with an assessment of the improvements by its users. Conclusions from the analysis of changes in the
    spatio-functional and socio-economical dimensions are described and concern the number of building licenses granted,
    changes in population size, changes in the number of registered natural person business entities, changes in the number
    of transactions on the real estate market. Moreover, in the area of transport, the paper presents an assessment of the
    quality of railway services on the E75 line through passengers’ opinions and the integration of the Baltic railway with
    alternative transport modes.
    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie najważniejszych wyników badań przeprowadzonych na potrzeby Studium
    wpływu modernizacji linii kolejowej E75 na rozwój Obszaru Metropolitalnego Warszawy, Przedmiotowe opracowanie
    powstało w ramach projektu NSB CoRe (North Sea Baltic Connector of Regions). W artykule zaprezentowano
    najważniejsze wnioski z przedmiotowego Studium, opisujące zmiany, które zaszły na obszarze badań (zawartego
    w granicach OMW, obejmującego gminy położone w zasięgu 3 km od linii kolejowej E75 oraz gminy, przez które
    przebiega droga krajowa nr 8/S8), w okresie trwającej modernizacji linii E75. W tym celu skoncentrowano się na analizie
    zmian w przestrzeni osadniczej oraz w zakresie funkcjonowania transportu kolejowego i oceny przez podróżnych
    przyjętych usprawnień. Opisano wnioski z analizy zmian w wymiarze funkcjonalno-przestrzennym i społecznogospodarczym
    obszaru badań w zakresie: wydanych pozwoleń na budowę, zmiany liczby ludności, zarejestrowanych
    podmiotów gospodarczych osób fizycznych, transakcji zawartych na rynku nieruchomości. W artykule przedstawiono
