Opis:
Recent advances in the research of magnetorheological/electrorheological (MR/ER) fluid based devices have indicated the opportunities for smart fluid based devices utilizing more than one operation mode. As such, the purpose of the present research is to draw attention to the existing models of magnetorheological (MR) mounts operating in two of the three fundamental operating modes, namely, the flow mode and the squeeze mode, and to highlight the potential applications of these modes in hydraulic mount applications. Therefore, in the paper the authors focus on recent applications of MR/ER fluids in that domain, and then proceed to summarizing the modeling principles for the two operation modes followed by a finite-element magnetostatic analysis of the mount's magnetic circuit, parameter sensitivity study and exemplary nu-merical simulations of each mode. The simulation results are converted into the frequency domain and presented in the form of dynamic stiffness and damping vs. frequency plots, respectively.

Opis:
Telecommunication, transport and civil engineering play an important role in new research areas. New antennas based on innovative materials are being developed. At the same time, the methods of antenna mounting with the use of high-strength materials to ensure high structural rigidity with the lowest possible weight are being planned. These materials include AHSS steels with ultimate tensile strength (UTS) up to 1700 MPa and elevated yield point (YS); however, welded joints made of these steels have much worse mechanical properties, compared to the native materials. In this paper, it was planned to test the MAG welding of DOCOL 1400M steel (AHSS group). Directly after welding, a micro-jet joint cooling was applied. It was determined to create thin-walled joints that could be used in the formation of antenna mounts.

Opis:
In this paper the stability of a closed-loop cascade control system in the trajectory tracking task is addressed. The considered plant consists of underlying second-order fully actuated perturbed dynamics and the first order system which describes dynamics of the input. The main theoretical result establishes the conditions for Lyapunov stability formulated for the perturbed cascade control structure taking advantage of the active rejection disturbance approach. In particular, limitations imposed on a feasible set of an observer bandwidth are discussed. In order to illustrate characteristics of the closed-loop control system simulation results are presented. Furthermore, the particular implementation of the cascade control algorithm is verified experimentally using a two-axis telescope mount. The obtained results confirm that the considered control strategy can be efficiently applied for a class of mechanical systems when a high position tracking precision is required.
