    Opis:
    The article presents the results of diagnostic-correlative research of quantitative/ qualitative character, related to information competence in teachers in the scope of the application of ICT methods and tools in the context of new trends in technology and the accompanying civilizational transformations. The methods of a diagnostic survey and statistical methods were applied (poll and narrative interview). A sample of 1160 teachers was examined and it was determined that: 1) the level of competence represented by the majority of the respondents can be described as satisfactory (in the light of standards – sufficient) to undertake activities for the implementation of ICT in professional practice; 2) there is a distinct connection (correlation: high, positive) between the level of information competence (findings in the cognitive sphere of teaching achievements) and the level of application of modern ICT tools (appropriate incentives in practice).

    Opis:
    This article presents an analysis of possible adaptation of Lean methodology elements to specific managerial mining conditions. The paper presents selected Lean tools and methods used in the automotive industry. The presented tools and methods are Just In Time, One Piece Flow, Jidoka, TPM, 5S, Kanban with Heijunka and also basics of continuous improvements. Fundamental differences between the automotive and mining industry are also presented including various aspects of production process and managing and organizing of work in facilities in both industries. Preliminary proposal for the adaptation of presented Lean tools and methods for unstable mining processes is presented. Additionally the matrix with possibilities of adapting Lean elements has been created.
    W artykule przedstawiono analizę możliwości adaptacji elementów metodologii Lean do warunków przemysłu wydobywczego. W pracy przedstawiono wybrane narzędzia i metody Lean stosowane w przemyśle motoryzacyjnym (Just In Time, One Piece Flow, Jidoka, TPM, 5S, Kanban, Heijunka oraz ciągłe doskonalenie). Zaprezentowano także podstawowe różnice między przemysłem motoryzacyjnym a wydobywczym z uwzględnieniem aspektów produkcyjnych oraz organizacji pracy w obu tych gałęziach gospodarki. Przedstawiono także wstępną propozycję adaptacji narzędzi i metod Lean do niestabilnych procesów wytwórczych przemysłu wydobywczego. Opracowano także zestawienie obrazujące możliwości wykorzystania w konkretnych miejscach elementów metodologii Lean.

    The article presents a fragment of diagnostic-correlational studies of a quantitative-qualitative nature, establishing pupils’ information competence in the use of ICT in the context of technological trends and accompanying civilisational changes. The research seeks answers to the question why children and teenagers use ICT tools in everyday practice. A diagnostic survey method (questionnaire and interview) and statistical methods were used. 2510 pupils were surveyed, and it was established that: 1) pupils’ numerous indications, obtained through open-ended questions, allowed for distinguishing eight important categories - reasons for using new technologies; 2) main reasons for using ICT lie in activities oriented at handling information (18.5%) and activities involving communication, also through social media (16.7%); 3) calculations of differentiating factors revealed statistical differences in three cases, namely between the opinion on reasons for using ICT by children and teenagers and: gender, stage of education, place of education. The treatment of children and teenagers as important stakeholders of the educational process helps improve it through selection of methods and tools adequate to pupils’ needs, expectations and cognitive preferences.

    Opis:
    This study focuses on reducing the costs of scrap loss in industrial enterprise through the quick response control methodology, used in quality management in the automotive industry. Its use can identify various influences causing problems is production, quality, logistics or management. The costs reducing in this study used tools and methods as QRQC, Global 8D, 5 Why, Is/Is Not as well as seven old statistical (japanese) tools, especially Pareto analysis. Using the QRQC methods there were found causes connected with scrap costs and were setted the corrective action to reduce the scrap costs.

    The aim of the article is application of Six Sigma method in glue applying process during assembling of IGBT modules of products family SEMiX3 performed in manufacture of SEMIKRON company. There are also used other tools and methods as Pareto diagram, Ishikawa diagram, hypothesis testing, Voice of the customer, involved in DMAIC cycle. There was found, that the most important impact of the glue applying process is the amount of glue. This is related to time savings and also Money savings as well as reduce the number of repairs.

    The article focused on the role of quality control methods in designing and production processes, on the example of the automotive company, in providing a product's parameters in accordance with a client’s requirements. Methods and tools used in a process of production, which are instruments controlling and diagnosing quality during production, were analyzed. Much attention was paid to SPC methods that statistically describe a production process.
    W artykule zwrócono uwagę na rolę metod kontroli jakości w procesie projektowania i produkcji, na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa branży motoryzacyjnej, w zapewnieniu parametrów wyrobu zgodnych z wymaganiami klienta. Przeanalizowano zastosowanie metod i narzędzi w procesie produkcji, które są instrumentami nadzorowania i diagnozowania jakości podczas produkcji wyrobu. Zwrócono uwagę na metody SPC, które opisują w sposób statystyczny proces produkcji.

    Purpose: The article concerns the analysis of the applicable normative requirements in the field of product quality planning in the process of approving parts for production. Design/methodology/approach: The analysis, in particular, concerns the correlation of appropriate methods and quality management tools in the quality planning process. Findings: Correct use of quality planning tools in product and process development determines the effectiveness of implementing individual phases of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning). Research limitations/implications: It is important that the organisation skilfully and consciously uses the quality tools required by APQP; they usually require multiple uses during the project implementation time, which depends on the specificity of a particular project. Practical implications: The study presents how core quality planning tools are related, proving that they cannot be treated as an individual tool, but only their correct use can protect the project/organisation against nonconformities or misunderstandings between the supplier and the customer. Originality/value: The study's originality and novelty show the relations and dependence between APQP phases and core quality tools/evidence developed in the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), according to PPAP level 3. The article presents a practical approach to the use or multiuse of particular core quality planning tools according to APQP phases.

    Companies of today must have their processes set in a way to fully use their capacities. It especially means efficient work, slimming of processes, reducing costs on quality but not at the expense of customer satisfaction. Within improving its processes they must carry out such improvements which allow them to eliminate unnecessary waste in the production process. Waste occurs in every enterprise, therefore workers should constantly search for it and eliminate it to increase productivity and reduce costs. In uncovering waste it is important to note the fact that we are searching for issues and not their cause and the guilty party to punish. The ability to identify waste and eliminate its causes may be the source of great improvements. When identifying waste we distinguish between seven types of waste and we use different methods and tools of industrial engineering to eliminate them. Based on many years of experience from organizations analyses conducted through student theses and based on the reconnaissance we carried out within resolving a research task we can state, that they include e.g. 5S, SMED etc.
