Opis:
In this paper the context of independent sets $J^{p}_{L}$ is assigned to the complete lattice (P(M),⊆) of all subsets of a non-empty set M. Some properties of this context, especially the irreducibility and the span, are investigated.

Opis:
Join-independent and meet-independent sets in complete lattices were defined in [6]. According to [6], to each complete lattice (L,≤) and a cardinal number p one can assign (in a unique way) an incidence structure $J^{p}_{L}$ of independent sets of (L,≤). In this paper some lattice-inadmissible incidence structures are founded, i.e. such incidence structures that are not isomorphic to any incidence structure $J^{p}_{L}$.

Opis:
We consider general properties of lattices of relative colour-families and antivarieties. Several results generalise the corresponding assertions about colour-families of undirected loopless graphs, see [1]. Conditions are indicated under which relative colour-families form a lattice. We prove that such a lattice is distributive. In the class of lattices of antivarieties of relation structures of finite signature, we distinguish the most complicated (universal) objects. Meet decompositions in lattices of colour-families are considered. A criterion is found for existence of irredundant meet decompositions. A connection is found between meet decompositions and bases for anti-identities.

Opis:
In this paper we study pseudo-BCH algebras which are semilattices or lattices with respect to the natural relations ≤; we call them pseudo-BCH join-semilattices, pseudo-BCH meet-semilattices and pseudo-BCH lattices, respectively. We prove that the class of all pseudo-BCH join-semilattices is a variety and show that it is weakly regular, arithmetical at 1, and congruence distributive. In addition, we obtain the systems of identities defininig pseudo-BCH meet-semilattices and pseudo-BCH lattices.

Opis:
The paper deals with using Edmodo (an educational social network) and Google Meet as distance learning tool and platform in teaching English within university English courses during the first and second waves of COVID-19 in Slovakia. It draws the basic difference between online learning and distance learning, as well as between asynchronous and synchronous distance learning. It briefly introduces Edmodo’s and Google Meet’s main features that can be utilised in the process of distance learning of university students. It presents the results of the research that was conducted with the students of Faculty of Mass Media Communication of UCM in Trnava, who participated in English courses conducted by the means of asynchronous and synchronous distance learning during the summer term of the academic year 2019/20 and the winter term of 2020/21, i. e. during both waves of the COVID-19 pandemic. Via the quantitative method of a questionnaire survey, the research participants provided feedback on both asynchronous distance learning (with Edmodo) and synchronous distance learning (combining Google Meet with Edmodo). The findings present students’ perception of the educational platform and the videoconferencing tool pointing to their benefits, weaknesses and overall effectiveness as communication platforms within both forms of distance learning, asynchronous and synchronous. The paper draws comparison of the two methods and assumes conclusions regarding their effectiveness in distance learning of English.
