Opis:
In this paper, a method of hybrid modelling of machine's mechanic structure together with mechatronic cooling system of its body is presented. In this method, a FEM model, traditionally used for thermal analyses of machine's thermal behaviour, has been integrated with mechatronic model of cooling system, implemented in MATLAB. In such way, a hybrid model has been created, allowing to simulate the control of machine body cooling process. Applied simulation of cooling the region of body, adjacent to the guide, illustrates the possibility of controlling the temperature in chosen points of the machine tool, in transient state, which would ensure minimal body deformations, small enough not to require compensation, which is generally hard and of limited precision. Thermal model of machine tool has been built with the use of SATO system [1]. In this work, time-domain temperature changes with and without the use of regulation by means of PID regulator have been compared. Results of the simulation show the usefulness of presented hybrid modelling method for the improvement of machine tool thermal behaviour.

Opis:
In this paper a technique of modelling mechatronic systems is investigated. Such technique is developed in order to build an integrated model of workpiece-fixture system additionally equipped with active deformation compensation system. The analysed type of workpieces is flexible, thin-walled parts under mechanical and non-mechanical loads. The model has been implemented in ABAQUS/Standard FEM code where the behaviour of actuator drives and a control system has been emulated with user subroutines. Model simulation data is confronted against data from experimenta investigations and theoretical calculations. Additional multi-domain simulations with the use of temperature-displacement calculation scheme, utilising the analogous deformation compensation method are described. Finally, results are discussed and conclusions are drawn.

Opis:
Paper presents a process of modelling and investigation of a mechatronic system with piezoelectric transducer used as a vibration actuator - reverse piezoelectric effect is applied in considered system. A series of mathematical models of this system is presented. Characteristic that describes relation between amplitude of the system's vibration and parameters of harmonic voltage that supplied piezoelectric actuator is assigned on the basis of corrected approximate Galerkin method. Obtained results are juxtaposed and the most appropriate mathematical model of this system is chosen.

The paper deals with a novel application of the wireless data communication for a continual control of the distributed manipulation systems. The solution is intended for industrial robotic plants. A considered way of the wireless communication is based on ZigBee protocol. The protocol is tested for a real time bidirectional data communication within a manipulation system. The system consists of several moving manipulation units, several stationary auxiliary units and one control computer. The computer provides the cooperation of all units in the system in relation to the user requirements. The system is controlled by a simple feedback multi-level control realized in MATLAB - Simulink environment. The paper is focused on the realization of the boards of power electronics, transmitters, optical positional sensors, optical gates and their networking in accordance with ZigBee protocol definition. The behavior of the ZigBee is illustrated by several records from real experiments.
