Augmented Reality‚ Industry 4.0‚ Logistics‚ Technical Challenges‚ Organizational Challenges‚ Ergonomics Challenges
Opis:
The proliferation of Industry 4.0 technologies has evoked a new interest in Augmented Reality (AR). Although the concept dates back to several years ago‚ AR techniques have been identified as a major contributor to logistics activities. The merge of real and virtual objects in logistics scenes could optimize several processes‚ drive more flexibility‚ and increase operational efficiencies. However‚ these benefits do not come without particular challenges. Therefore‚ the main objective of this paper is to investigate the barriers of AR adoption to logistics. Although AR has gained growing attention in the recent literature‚ there is a paucity of review research that studies and captures the dynamic nature of this topic. To fill this information gap and respond to the interest of academics and practitioners in AR‚ we conducted a systematic literature review that provides a timely and up-to-date synthesis of the state of knowledge. Selected 43 papers were classified into three categories of challenges namely‚ the technical‚ the organizational‚ and the ergonomics challenges. The review set to answer the following two questions: (1) What are the factors that inhibit the firm from adopting AR in its logistics processes? and (2) What are the challenges resulting from applying AR to logistics and business processes?

The companies of any industry are strongly affected with current globalization trend, which makes supply chain flows more and more bulky and complex. To be competitive in cost and eco-friend way under contemporary business market conditions, the companies should apply system approach of logistics management to plan, manage and control of their logistics processes. Each company’s system can be analysed and divided into essential logistics sub-systems: purchasing, production, packaging, warehousing, distribution and reverse material flow management. Thus, the system and process approach are crucial for up-to-date logistics systems or subsystems management in context of long-term sustainable growth. Any effective logistics management system should be based on sub-system of demand forecasting. Demand forecasting is increasingly getting important to make right managerial decisions. Well developed demand forecasting sub-sytem in a company is a ground for effective planning, management and control of all company’s processes then also for effective logistics or supply chain management.

Opis:
Cities are places of countless logistics processes, i.e. the processes of flow of all kinds of resources: human, material, information. The basic problem of contemporary cities are factors limiting their sustainable development. Most of them originate from excessive congestion caused by individual motorization and road freight transport. In recent years, supply chains intensively develop and implement new information technologies. That aims at rationalizing the business logistics processes by improving the information flows which is followed by reducing the demand for physical resources and the reduction of processing time and costs. Because the cities are large areas of logistics processes related to the economic activities of enterprises, the purpose of this article is to answer the following question: how do new information technologies, used in logistics processes, influence the structure of resources mobility in urban areas and how they can help in solving problems of congestion in urban areas. The main assumption of the study is that information flows can partially substitute real flows, which leads to the main thesis of the research that new technologies which streamline the flows of information in B2B and B2C relation can reduce the demand for goods and human flows within the cities. That rationalization translates into changes of resources demand structure and thus a change in demand for their mobility. The study used analysis and deduction method based on the literature and real life examples in the field of information technology which are already in use and those that can be used soon in logistics processes. This field of research is underdeveloped because logisticians focus their research on economization of business logistics processes and do not pay much attention to how they can influence urban areas.

Opis:
Today the logistics could be an efficient method for increasing the food production and food processing and they could combine all the elements of food production sub-complex into the single chain providing conditions not only for domestic production and consumption of this strategically important products but also provide a great deal of export flows. In our opinion it is logistics that can consolidate separate components of economic mechanism and provide conditions for structural and functional balance and efficient institutional foundations. When operating logistics flows we can develop optimal cause and effect relationship among the elements that would finally create effective system. As a primary step that would enable to achieve a totally new level in logistics for the food production of Ukraine, the new scheme for transformation mechanism of logistics system in food production sub-complex of Ukraine has been suggested. It is based on “virtualization” of material flows among certified food products storehouses.

The pace of economic growth, despite the crisis bogey still appearing somewhere near, is taking on speed on an unprecedented scale in the history of the mankind. The number of inventions currently being the subject of patent procedures or the quantity and quality of implementations of various types of solutions that improve and facilitate our lives - both professional and private - leads to a situation that we treat these changes more often as a normal thing, which does not arouse our admiration. During the preparation for this publication, the main focus was put on finding the answer to the question whether we are able to observe these changes, define them and assess them. The correct identification and definition of the area of changes is only half of the success. The second important, if not more important, problem is the issue of proper naming and examining the threats that affect these changes.

Logistics activities are present in different business functions, which is why unified decision making in logistics has a significant effect on the organization of logistics processes in companies. Scientific literature highlights various aspects of logistics decision making, but so far, no survey has been conducted that can accurately illustrate the effect of centralized logistics and the effect of the level of Logistics knowledge of employees from other departments on unified decision making in the organization of logistics processes. For this purpose, a statistical analysis was carried out on a sample of companies from the Slovenian automotive industry, which is one of theleading high-tech industries in the world. The results of multiple linear regression show that the greater the knowledge of logistics among the employees from other departments, the more logistics costs are taken into account during the development of the product. This is an important finding for the automotive industry, as well as for other manufacturing industries, especially with respect to efficient planning of Logistics processes, starting from the early stages of product development. This enables better control over logistics costs, as all business functions within the company participate in the process. The results presented here highlight future guidelines for the organisation of logistics processes in the high-tech automotive industry. It was verified by multiple linear regression.

The number of IT systems and technologies supporting various processes, including the manufacturing, has been growing in recent years. Various versions of integrated ERP-class systems are known. At the same time, we are in the fourth industrial revolution. The future is Industry 4.0 and Digital Factory. Industry 4.0 is an overall term for technical innovations and value change organization concepts which revolutionize the industrial production. Currently, the digital technologies change the way production is carried out by generating, transferring and processing of data, and also by analysing large amounts of datasets. There is a problem of the place and significance of logistics, transport and supply chains in the fourth industrial revolution. What is logistics engineering, what methods are suggested to solve the contemporary problems of logistic support of production processes? To whom are the virtual systems dedicated? What rules should be applied by small and medium enterprises (SME)? Is the pressure of virtual world a threat to such companies? Is it possible to design and make real products without virtual manufacturing? Hence, does Logistics 4.0 exist and where is it used? The practice of logistics engineering is applied during the entire system lifecycle by means of interactive processes supporting the analyses and research (compromise) for optimization of costs, logistics and efficiency. Surely, it can be said that without the correctly designed and effective logistic processes the contemporary production system could not achieve the required productivity and effectiveness. The article describes the basic tasks of logistics engineering in relation to production companies, as well as relations with Industry 4.0. and digital factory. Moreover, a proposal of the author’s own algorithms for use in the quest to improve the continuity of flow and of enterprise effectiveness for SME class companies was presented.

W warunkach rozproszonej produkcji warzyw o sukcesie realizacji łańcucha dostaw decyduje sprawność zarządzania łańcuchem, solidarność i wzajemne zaufanie producentów, handlowców, przetwórców, a także konsumentów.
