Four models were created to study enterprise logistics. From the first one of them, the Logistic Model Based on Positions (LoMoBaP), one of its forty-four charges, the Physical Distribution Manager will be taken, and indicators will be generated to measure its performance, following, the third one of the models, the Logistic Model Based on Indicators of Positions (LoMoBaIPo). The objective of this work is to show how indicators of management can be used in enterprise logistics, following the LoMoBaIPo to apply to the Physical Distribution Manager of the LoMoBaP. To obtain this objective it will be followed the Integrated-Adaptable Methodology for the development of Decision Support System [IAMDSS], which for their flexibility is very useful in other works of investigation, that not necessarily generate a Decision Support System (DSS). As result a set of tables are obtained, that allows to evaluate the Physical distribution Manager across indicators.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to present the extent to which indicators applied by logistics providers in Poland measure logistics-related processes and performance in the context of implementing the concept of management accounting in the enterprises that were researched. Methodology: The research methods used by the authors included a literature review of mainly German and Polish publications and survey research conducted in 2011–2013 among logistics enterprises in Poland. This study served as the basis for verifying four hypotheses and formulating conclusions. Findings: The main results of this study showed that management accounting systems are implemented in about half of then logistics providers in Poland covered by the survey. 75% of all enterprises conducted indicator analysis to evaluate logistics processes, costs and performance, and 90% of the indicators used by these enterprises were of a financial nature. Research limitations: The main limitation of the research was associated with conducting the survey. The low return rate of completed questionnaires did not allow for a detailed analysis of the undertaken subject to be conducted. Moreover, the research results cannot be generalized to all logistics companies in Poland. Originality: The study was the first review of the application of indicators in logistics companies in Poland in relation to the implementation of the management accounting concept. The study provides knowledge about how Polish logistics enterprises use indicators as an important management accounting instrument.

Opis:
The article discusses the theoretical principles of statistical research with regard to the national market of logistics services during wartime. The system of statistical indicators of the research of the logistics services market is structured through the allocation of separate blocks of indicators by priority of their estimation in war conditions. The market of logistics services of Ukraine is characterised by selected blocks of indicators. The paper identifies the main structural changes that occurred due to the hostilities faced by the country. Moreover, the authors determine the main factors influencing the functioning of the analysed market during war, as the statistical study of these factors is considered necessary for the transformation and development of logistics services. It is substantiated that taking into account such statistical indicators as the level and availability of logistics infrastructure, security, the human factor and changes in legislation are likely to result in a new alternative direction of logistics routes and contribute to the development of the logistics services market in general. The authors proposed the construction of a centralised electronic service (or several services) with the purpose of consolidating information about the logistics infrastructure. The software system should offer the option of an operational interactive visualisation.

Opis:
The logistics industry today is well developed. The efficient movement of goods, people, and information is a crucial link in each supply chain and the entire logistics system. For systems to function effectively, they must be properly assessed, compared, and analyzed. Therefore, there are many different indicators, both simple and complex. The purpose of this article is to review these indicators and conduct a comparative analysis for a selected indicator, the LPI (Logistics Performance Index), which measures logistics performance. The subjects of the study are European Union countries. Multivariate comparative analysis was used for the study.
W tym celu istnieje wiele różnorodnych wskaźników, zarówno prostych i złożonych. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest dokonanie przeglądu tychże wskaźników, a także przeprowadzenie analizy porównawczej dla wybranego wskaźnika mierzącego poziom rozwoju systemu logistycznego (LPI − Logistics Performance Index). Podmiotem badania są kraje Unii Europejskiej. Do analiz wykorzystano metody wielowymiarowej analizy porównawczej.

Opis:
Warehouse and inventory management is a recurring issue in many of the different supply chains in diverse industries, where the constant changes in the markets have a direct impact on the management of warehouses and inventories, either generating over-stocks or shortages. This paper presents a case study on warehouse and inventory management control. The company under study was having problems in this area, where over-stocks were generated frequently, leading to various incidents, such as having to store finished and packaged product in unsuitable places, with the associated risk of deterioration. To deal with this problem, control tools based on the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) concept were developed. To this end, the corresponding problem and the information management process within the Supply Chain department had to be analyzed. In this case, it was observed that the databases were not synchronized, therefore strategies were proposed to systematize the collection and updating of data. In addition, to summarize the information, we proceeded to the implementation of an interactive form that facilitates the visualization and interpretation of the evolution of the process, and to be able to apply an efficient control on it, and thus to propose corrective actions supported by evidence.

Opis:
Background: Humanitarian operations are a key contribution to alleviating human suffering and reducing property damage. The success of these measures is conditioned by the implementation of efficient and sufficiently flexible logistics chains. The specificity of the conditions for the distribution of material aid requires the preparation of a suitable distribution system, the necessary capacities, and the creation of conditions to achieve the flexibility of individual solutions. The key issue for the implementation of the humanitarian aid distribution itself is the identification of suitable performance indicators, considering the specifics in the individual phases of humanitarian aid implementation. Methods: The approach is based on the research and content analysis, followed by creating a conceptual model and workflow diagram using interviews with experts, and identifying key performance indicators for optimization within the case study. Results: The humanitarian supply process was identified through a workflow diagram. A model was built to illustrate a case study of the use of rail transport to the provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine crisis in 2022. Performance indicators are compiled for the model. Recommendations are formulated for the creation of suitable indicators of the performance of humanitarian logistics chains. Conclusion: A gap and research problem in performance improvement and its measurement is identified within humanitarian logistics. This study examines the opportunity to improve the performance of humanitarian distribution to Ukraine in 2021.

Opis:
Supply chain activity control is an essential part of Supply Chain Management (SCM), ensuring compliance with customer requirements. This paper presents a case study into the control of SCM activities. The study analysed two areas involving two different SC links associated with order picking, and outsourced truck freights, respectively. The studied company had problems with these links. An approach based on developing a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) was proposed to address the issues. Consequently, different affected processes were analysed and characterised, considering the relevant data for defining a KPI. Then, strategies and methods were devised for data collection and processing regarding the system’s current state. Finally, tools were designed to facilitate the interpretation of the system’s current state and thus, pave the way for the decision-making process on corrective measures.
