lacquer coats
Opis:
The paper presents the selected results of tests on ablational laser removal of polymer lacquer coating with metallic filler (aluminium plates). The fibre laser with the Galvo head of the following parameters: the radiation wavelength λ = 1064nm, the exposition time of the laser impulse τ = 25ns, and the repetition frequency 30-500kHz was used. By changing the power thickness, repetition frequency, and scanning speed various effects of varnish, coating removal were obtained. The melting of the colourless lacquer coat was observed when small power thickness was applied. Multiple scanning with the laser beam of higher power thickness resulted in sequential removal of several to tens of micrometers of the lacquer coating. This technology brings very good perspectives for the renovation of lacquer coating systems in present vehicles (bodies, frames).

Opis:
The state of laser processing in surface materials modification in Poland is reported, based on own experience, coworkers and coauthors results, as well the literature review. The curriculum concerning historical development of lasers and laser technology in Poland, laser-matter interaction, as well basis of different laser techniques applied in materials surface engineering (solid state hardening, melting, alloying, cladding, ablation, shot peening, cleaning and texturing) are reviewed, and compared with results of coauthors, as well with a wide range of Polish authors papers. Finally, it is concluded that overall state of research on laser application in surface engineering in Poland is well developed and still growing industrial application is observed.

Opis:
The results of simulation the laser ablation cleaning for the surface of samples made for nickel-based superalloy ŻS6K-WI. this material is use to produce the first-degree blades of aircraft engine turbines. The laboratory investigations were used pulse neodymium laser Nd: YAG and laser ytterbium Nd: Y3Al5O12. In parallel with the experiment was performed numerical simulation of ablation process. The simulation results were used for selection of appropriate laser parameters (duration, pulse form and the course of pulse in time, power density). the short time of the phenomenon of ablation process (similar to 10 ns), the authors have chosen the finite element method (FEM) contained in the LS-Dyna. Since it is known that, the rate of thermal deformation is very large, for modelling the material properties of the material model was used Thermal-Elastic-Plastic. So chosen material model allows the dependence of material parameters (E, alfa, ni, Re, ET, Cp, k) on temperature. Scheme of laser ablation, diagram of laser power density, physical model, identification depth of the ablation, area where the temperature exceeded the melting temperature, in successive moments of loading are presented in the paper.

Opis:
Preliminary results ablation of the laser cleaning was introduced in the article elements of the turbine engine of airplane (blades, guide rings, the chambers of oxidising). Cleaning of these units was realized to obtainment of the metallically fine superficial layer for the chosen melts of Fe - C and on the datum feature Nor, prepare to the processes welds or the spraying thermal of coating barriers thermal TBCS. The chosen results of the selection of parameters were introduced in the support about steorology and the cleanness of the superficial layer. Various parameters: laser radiation power density, impulse duration, the frequency control and the laser spot lap stage were applied in laboratory experiments. Laser radiation influence effects were estimated on the surface photo, microstructure, chemical composition in microzones investigation basis. The stereoscopic microscopy, electron scanning microscopy (SEM) and the X-ray analysis were used in investigations. Very good cleaning effects are from oxides, accumulations of turbine blades. In particular, studied elements of aircraft turbine engine, characteristic surface and area topography of heat resistant nickel alloy, tests results of chemical constitution in the characteristic micro-zones of surface layer of high-temperature creep are presented in the paper.

Opis:
On the base of literature data as well as authors works a review of the state-of-the-art in ablative laser cleaning of surface layers of various constructional materials with encrustation produced in physical and technological processes is presented in the paper. The process and mechanisms occurring in the ablative laser cleaning are described. Three types of the most frequently used lasers offer characteristic advantages understood as average power, pulse operation, wavelength, optical feedback with materiał processed, and fiber delivery. The process of surface layer cleaning of materials and machine elements can be carried out in various -ways. In general, when using pulse laser radiation, five different mechanisms of removal of particles, encrustations, or coatings can be applied. So, the process of removal can be performed via following physical processes: surface vibrations, particles oscillations, thermal expansion of particles (or encrustation), generation of so called detonation wave over surface being cleaned, and laser ablation. Lasers are especially useful for removal of layers from many types of substrates like wood, metals, plastics, composites, stones, ceramics, leather, and others. The important advantage of laser cleaning and surface modification is the capability of processing automation which is related to process repeatability, ease of parameters controlling, possibility of strengthening in zones difficult to access, high precision of interaction and high efficiency as well.
