Opis:
The occurrence of lactic acid bacteria flora (LAB) was investigated on Ivorian fermented fish Adjuevan products produced with sea fish at different salt concentration (10, 15, 20, 25, 30%) according two traditional methods. LAB biodiversity was investigated using traditional culture-dependent method and culture-independent method (DGGE). LAB isolates were Lactobacillus fermentum 54%, Leuconostoc lactis subsp lactis 27%, Pediococcus pentosaceus 19% according method 1 and Pediococcus pentosaceus 61%, Lactococcus garviae 32%, Streptococcus diffi cilis 7% for method 2. The results of culture-independent method using DGGE patterns and sequencing of DNA bands revealed a higher number of lactic acid bacteria species even if the identification of several lactic acid bacteria species were not possible by traditional microbiological procedures. LAB were Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp bulgaricus, Lactobacillus helveticus, Leuconostoc lactis, Lactococcus raffi nolactis. Microflora was influence by salt percentage and more by the method of fermentation used. The molecular method DGGE which used three primers Lac1, Lac2GC and Lac3 to study LAB biodiversity directly in the fermented fish matrix, have allowed us to get a more complete picture of the dominant lactic acid bacteria diversity in these fermented product Adjuevan.

Opis:
The aim of this study is to analyse the spatio-temporal evolution of hydro-rainfall variables in the Agnéby watershed in a disturbed climatic context. Rainfall data from the stations of Arrah, Bongouanou, M’Batto, Akoupé, Céchi, Agboville, Adzopé, Sikensi, Abidjan Airport and Dabou as well as hydrometric data from the stations of Agboville, Offoliguié, M’Bessé and Guessiguié were used. The methodological approach is based on the application of independence and trend tests and spatio-temporal analysis of daily rainfall maxima, duration of consecutive rainfall events, number of rainfall events above a threshold and daily flow maxima. The hypothesis of independence justified the relevance of the choice of variables. The trend test showed the dynamic upward evolution of extreme rainfall and the decrease in the duration of consecutive rainy episodes, in the number of rainy episodes and in the flows feeding the main watercourse. Moreover, spatial analysis of daily maximum rainfall amounts above 120 mm, consecutive maximum rainfall amounts above 160 mm and Gumbel rainfall amounts above 190 mm indicated heavy rainfall in the southern part of the watershed. However, a decrease in rainfall is recorded in the areas covered by the stations of Arrah, Bongouanou, M’Batto, Ce chi and Akoupé. An increase in the flood flow calculated from the Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) between 76.60 m3∙s-1 and 225.70 m3∙s-1 is presented in the main river. The spatio-temporal variation in annual rainfall heights showed a high rainfall in the southern part of the watershed with a decrease in rainfall over the decades (1976-1985 and 1996-2005) followed by an increase over the decades (1986-1995 and 2006-2015). Despite the general decrease in rainfall, extreme rainfall has become frequent, causing flooding in the watershed.

Opis:
After the fall of the Meroe kingdom, three entities – Nobadia, Early Makuria, and Alwa (Alodia) – emerged in northeast Africa between the 4th and the 6th centuries AD. Richly furnished elite cemeteries with tombs of the Nobadian kings are known from Qustul and Ballaña in Lower Nubia (Emery and Kirwan 1938), but until now no royal tombs of Early Makuria have been identified. A comparative analysis of some recently excavated adornments and ornaments from the tumulus cemetery of el-Zuma in Upper Nubia have now enabled the Early Makuria royal tombs (AD 450–550) to be placed there. The assemblages from three large tumuli are dominated by personal adornments (beads, pendants, earrings, chains, crosses, and a ring), royal regalia (cabochons and settings), and other decorated items (metal sheets, an intarsia and ivory gaming pieces). Apart from beads of various materials, like marine mollusk shell, ostrich eggshell, faience and stone, which were made probably in local workshops, the remaining items were imports from the Mediterranean and Sri Lanka/South India (glass beads in the latter case). Moreover, many of the decorated objects and the techniques used to make them find parallels in the elite Nobadian cemeteries of Qustul and Ballaña, hinting at the royal origin of some of the Early Makuria tomb owners at el-Zuma. These parallels induce the thought that there was a single workshop in late antique Nubia producing artifacts for the elite.

Opis:
The research focused on the effect of GA₃ and BA on the yield of Allium karataviense ‘Ivory Queen’. The substances in concentration of 500 mg₃·dm⁻³ were applied in the form of a 60-minute bulb soaking prior to planting or plant spraying in the green bud phase. It was discovered that GA₃ applied in the both forms causes the inflorescence shoot elongation and the increased number of flowers in inflorescence, and increases the total yield expressed in the bulb weight. When applied in the form of plant spraying, it increases the number of bulbs in the total yield. Plant spraying with BA leads to the production of a greater number of flowers in inflorescence. BA application in the both forms increases the total yield expressed in the bulb weight.
