    W opracowaniu opisano tworzenie i rozwój parków przemysłowych, jako jednych ze skutecznych narzędzi neoprzemysłowej transformacji potencjału wytwórczego przemysłu w praktyce zagranicznej. Zostały zdefiniowane mechanizmy instytucjonalne dla tworzenia i rozwoju parków przemysłowych. Stosowane są systemowe instrumenty wsparcia państwowego dla rozwoju parków przemysłowych na świecie.
    The foreign experience of creation and development of the industrial parks as one of the efficient instruments of the neoindustrial transformation of industrial potential is researched. The institutional arrangements of formation and development of the industrial parks are determined. The instruments of government support of the industrial parks’ development around the globe are generalized.
    Исследован зарубежный опыт создания и развития индустриальных парков как одного из эффективных инструментов неоиндустриальной трансформации промышленного потенциала. Определены институциональные механизмы формирования и развития индустриальных парков. Обобщены инструменты государственной поддержки развития индустриальных парков в странах мира.

    The waste emission of energy consumption in industrial parks causes huge expected environmental pollution loss but also causes serious environmental pollution losses in the form of accidents. To explore the measurement method of the environmental pollution losses of waste emissions from energy consumption in industrial parks and the effective way of its application, based on the literature review and theoretical analysis, extreme value theory and VaR theory was introduced to construct the extreme value VaR model for the measurement of environmental pollution losses of wastes emission from energy consumption in industrial parks. The maximum likelihood estimation method was used to estimate the parameters of the measurement model. Then, the application test was carried out with the case data of waste emission from energy consumption in Nanjing MV industrial park, which verifies the effectiveness of the research method and its application.

    This paper describes a possible integration of bioclimatic and performative design into the ecological transformation of a brownfield. The proposed design approach is verified on a case study in Loudden Docks oil terminal in Stockholm. It is observed how an architectural intervention, that is based on the study of the ambient conditions of the site, can improve the microclimate and create attractive public spaces. The study focuses on the element of wind and the reciprocal relationship of the wind and architectural shape.

    The main paper aims to evaluate the impact of organisational competence on knowledge and information flows within cluster organisations and technology parks, with particular emphasis on innovative content knowledge. The paper addresses the research question: “What set of competencies of cooperating companies allows access to information and knowledge in cluster and parks structures?" The authors report their findings from a quantitative study carried out in four cluster organisations and three technology parks functioning in Poland. The research sample covered a total of 269 enterprises: 132 cluster members and 137 park tenants. The primary method of data collection was a survey questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using the interdependence of variables, ANOVA, and logistic regression. The research showed that the surveyed enterprises from both analysed groups preferred cooperation with partners of a similar level of competence development and the same or complementary scope of competence. This set of competencies of cooperating organisations also guaranteed better access to information and knowledge resources, including confidential information and new knowledge. This study additionally indicated that the knowledge creation activities performed by the cooperating cluster organisations depended on the proximity of the competencies of organisations as well as on the nature of the information, disseminated within the cluster organisations. The theoretical contribution is related to the results obtained by analysing the phenomenon of information and knowledge dissemination in cluster and park structures, revealing the impact made by the competence proximity of cooperating organisations on the access to this such resources. Thus, the findings supplement the state-of-the-art knowledge of the concept of industrial clusters by presenting a broader view on cooperation developed in geographical proximity, based on a set of various partner competencies.

    The article presents industrial and technological parks, operating in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship. The essence of the research was the diagnosis of functional zones for the region and entrepreneurs. The purpose of the article was to investigate whether the existence of industrial, industrial and technological parks has an impact on the attractiveness of the region and whether it encourages new investors to undertake economic activity. Based on the research, it has been pointed out that the parks and their incubators and other centers supporting entrepreneurship have a number of favorable conditions. Starting a business in their area. It is also significant that the existence of the zones contributed to the increase in the number of new jobs in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship, as well as investors willing to invest their capital in the parks.
    W artykule przedstawiono parki przemysłowo-technologiczne, działające na terenie województwa kujawsko-pomorskiego. Istotą przeprowadzonych badań była diagnoza funkcjonalności stref dla regionu i przedsiębiorców. Celem artykułu było zbadanie, czy istnienie parków przemysłowych, przemy-słowo-technologicznych ma wpływ na atrakcyjność regionu i czy zachęca nowych inwestorów do podejmowania działalności gospodarczej. Na podstawie przeprowadzanych badań wskazano, że parki i funkcjonujące przy nich inkubatory oraz inne ośrodki wspierające przedsiębiorczość posiadają szereg uwarunkowań sprzyjających podjęciu działalności gospodarczej na ich terenie. Istotny jest również fakt, iż istnienie stref przyczyniło się do wzrostu liczby nowych miejsc pracy w województwie kujawsko-pomorskim, jak również inwestorzy chętniej lokują swój kapitał na terenie parków.

    This paper describes and assesses Richard Haag’s controversial campaign to create Seattle’s Gas Works Park. Haag’s plan is significant in the history of environmental aesthetics, because it was the first to preserve remnants of industrial heritage in a United States city park, and because Haag appealed to aesthetics when making his case. I argue Haag’s campaign was persuasive, and I claim the former gas works now function within the park in much the same way as the ruins of parks of previous centuries. And because the structures are now ruins, they do not sanctify the destructive function they used to have. Finally, I claim that human intervention in abandoned, derelict, or post-industrial sites can be worthwhile if it successfully conveys a change in use or function of those sites, thus bringing beauty out of blight.

    The aim of the study was to determine the total contents of acid soluble and water soluble Pb in light soil profiles that belong to rusty soils in the protected zone in the Roztocze National Park and adjacent industrial areas. The investigated soils had a natural content of total Pb. In spite of that, the results revealed accumulation of the analysed metals in surface levels (Ap), as compared with parent rock levels (C ). Higher concentration [%] of lead, zinc and copper in Ap levels was found in the soils of the production areas than in the soils of the protected zone. It was observed that the contents of total forms of Pb, acid soluble forms of Pb and water soluble forms of Pb in the analysed soils were significantly correlated with chemical properties, soil reaction, contents of organic carbon, and soil absorbing capacity.
    Celem pracy było określenie zawartości ogólnej Pb i jego form rozpuszczalnych w kwasie solnym i w wodzie w profilach gleb lekkich należących do klasy gleb rdzawych położonych na terenie otuliny Roztoczańskiego Parku Narodowego i terenów produkcyjnych do niej przyległych. Badane gleby charakteryzowały się naturalną zawartością Pb ogólnego. Pomimo tego otrzymane wyniki badań świadczą o nagromadzeniu analizowanych metali w poziomach wierzchnich (Ap) w odniesieniu do poziomów skał macierzystych (C). Większą względną koncentracją [%] ołowiu w poziomach Ap charakteryzowały się gleby terenów produkcyjnych w porównaniu do gleb otuliny. Stwierdzono, iż zawartość ogólnych form ołowiu i jego form rozpuszczalnych w kwasie solnym i wodzie w analizowanych glebach była istotnie skorelowana z właściwościami chemicznymi, w tym odczynem, zawartością węgla organicznego i pojemnością sorpcyjną.

    Over the course of their development, economically successful European cities constantly increase their populations and expand their territories. Degraded post-industrial areas often remain within the perimeter of central urban areas due to associated processes, which is associated with decisions to move functions that cause nuisance to nearby residents beyond city centers and also to other countries. Such decisions have left empty, unused spaces within city centers, which continually remain attractive for numerous real estate development companies due to their location and surroundings. The original research presented in this paper included extensive comparative studies of revitalized post-industrial areas in cities and urban agglomerations across Western Europe and in Poland. One of the themes concerned new building functions, along with the performance of a comparative analysis of the construction of several contemporary parks in such areas. This paper offers a detailed presentation of a range of selected cases of such solutions.
    Miasta europejskie, które odniosły sukces gospodarczy, ciągle się rozwijają, zwiększają liczbę ludności i rozszerzają swoje terytoria. W wyniku tych procesów w obszarach śródmiejskich pozostają często zdegradowane tereny poprzemysłowe, które związane są z decyzjami przenoszenia uciążliwych dla mieszkańców funkcji poza strefy centrum, a także do innych krajów. W efekcie tych decyzji w obszarach śródmiejskich powstawały i stale powstają puste, niezagospodarowane przestrzenie, które są atrakcyjne dla wielu inwestorów i firm deweloperskich ze względu na lokalizację i otoczenie. Autorskie badania przedstawione w artykule obejmowały szerokie studia porównawcze rewitalizowanych terenów poprzemysłowych w miastach i aglomeracjach miejskich w Europie Zachodniej i w Polsce. Jeden z wątków dotyczył nowych funkcji kubaturowych, kolejnym była analiza porównawcza realizacji kilkunastu współczesnych parków na takich obszarach. W tekście szczegółowo omówiono kilka wybranych przykładów takich rozwiązań.
