The results of the experimental research on the influence of the special vehicle movement conditions on the body shell and the vehicle crew dynamic load will be presented in the paper. ROSOMAK Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carrier (Wheeled APC), the basic version, was the subject of the research. The research work was aimed at analysis of the dynamic loads resulting from the deterministic inputs and driving on the selected types of surfaces generating random kinematic inputs. The personnel carrier service conditions, measuring apparatus, and testing methods will be described. The vertical accelerations of the selected points of the vehicle, and deflection of the prime and second suspension of the vehicle left side were measured. The time and the acceleration RMS value spectrum charts for the selected implementations will be presented. The cumulative statistics will be shown in the form of a table. The conclusions regarding the influence of the road surface on the personnel carrier driver's working comfort will be formulated. The assessment of the suspension quality will be included in the conclusions. Driving on the smooth surface is comfortable. However, the road surface worsening causes decreased proficiency sense until the exposure limit boundary is reached when the vehicle drives on a poor quality cobble road with 50 km/h speed. The vehicle basic version is not fitted with the seats for assault troops, therefore the influence of the road irregularities on the centre of mass of the body shell, and the driver's and commander's seats were determined. It is recommended to make further tests on the personnel carrier combat and special versions.

The section of the paper on simulation studies presents the application of fractional calculus to describe the dynamics of pneumatic systems. In the construction of mathematical models of the analysed dynamic systems, the Riemann-Liouville definition of differ-integral of non-integer order was used. For the analysed model, transfer function of integer and non-integer order was determined. Functions describing characteristics in time and frequency domains were determined, whereas the characteristics of the analysed systems were obtained by means of computer simulation. MATLAB were used for the simulation research. The section of the paper on laboratory research presents the results of the laboratory tests of the injection system of the internal combustion engine with special attention to the verification of simulated tests of selected pneumatic systems described with the use of fractional calculus.

Hydrodynamic bearings are commonly used in ship propulsion systems. Typically, they are calculated using numerical or experimental methods. This paper presents an experimental study through which it has been possible to estimate 24 dynamic coefficients of two hydrodynamic slide bearings operating under nonlinear conditions. During the investigation, bearing mass coefficients are identified by means of a newly developed algorithm. An impact hammer was used to excite vibration of the shaft. The approximation by means of the least squares method was applied to determine bearing dynamic coefficients. Based on the performed research, the four (i.e. two main and two crosscoupled) coefficients of stiffness, damping and mass for each bearing were obtained. The mass coefficients add up to the complex shaft weight. These values are not required for modeling dynamics of the machine because the rotor mass is usually known, however, they may serve as a good indicator to validate the correctness of the stiffness and damping coefficients determined. Additionally, the experimental research procedure was described. The signals of displacements in the bearings and the excitation forces used for determination of the bearing dynamic coefficients were shown. The study discussed in this article is about a rotor supported by two hydrodynamic bearings operating in a nonlinear manner. On the basis of computations, the results of bearing dynamic coefficients were presented for a selected speed.

Opis:
One of the methods of scalarization of a multi-criteria problem is the application of a quasi-hierarchy, determined by the decision maker. In discrete problems, to apply this method it is necessary to have an algorithm which generates the optimal solution and the consecutive solutions, contained within the tolerance interval determined by the decision maker. This paper presents algorithms generating the consecutive realizations for a multi-stage deterministic decision-making process as well as an algorithm generating the consecutive strategies for a multi-stage stochastic decision- making process. Algorithms using these solutions in a multi-criteria quasi-hierarchical process are also proposed.

Purpose: The aim of the research was to identify views regarding the capability of enterprises as expressed by members of their managerial staff. The research paid particular attention to the issue of "dynamism" of capabilities, that is, the capability itself and how to distinguish dynamic capabilities from non-dynamic capabilities. Design/methodology/approach: The research was carried out using the qualitative method, by collecting and analysing the written statements of management representatives from twenty- seven companies of various sizes and industries. Findings: The ability to distinguish oneself from the competition is a basic issue in the formation of the company's strategy. However, as demonstrated in the literature review, the newer theory of enterprise capability, which is dynamic capabilities, is not only constantly changing, but the background is still not clear enough to be a useful tool for management practitioners. These findings have led to the formulation of questions as to what extent and how management practitioners use theories about organisational capabilities? How do they understand this issue and how do they put it into practice? Thanks to empirical research, it is possible to answer these questions. Seven clear differences were identified between dynamic and non-dynamic capability portfolios that are closer in character to distinctive capabilities or core competence. These differences are the main components of two different ways of understanding the logic of an organisation's operation. Practical implications: Empirical research has identified the beliefs that limit the ability to perceive the role or capabilities of dynamic capabilities in practice. The research also suggests a possible scenario for the dynamisation of the capacity portfolio. Social implications: The results of the study highlight the role of the linguistic representation of knowledge in the field of management and its impact on the pro-innovation ("prodynamics") of managerial thinking. In this way, they refer to educational strategies aimed at the professionalisation of managerial staff. Originality/value: This study presents real ways of understanding the issue of the organisational capabilities of management practitioners. The results may be useful for practicing managers, specialists in the field of managerial education, as well as researchers exploring the issues of dynamic capabilities and organisational competences.

The paper presents analysis of plasticity characteristics and microstructure of magnesium alloys for hot plastic treatment with different aluminium content (3÷8%). Tests were conducted for assessment of susceptibility of tested alloys to hot plastic deformation. A tensile test was run in temperature from 250 to 450°C. Based on the results, ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and reduction of area (Z) were determined for samples. Conducted compression tests allowed to specify the flow stress and microstructure changes after deformation. The activation energy in hot forming was determined for investigated alloys. The parameters of the process where flow is significantly influenced by twin formation in microstructure were determined. A varied plasticity of tested alloys was found depending on aluminium content. Test results will be useful in development of forging technology of selected construction elements which serve as light substitutes for currently used materials.
W pracy analizowano charakterystyki plastyczności i mikrostrukturę stopów magnezu przeznaczonych do przeróbki plastycznej na gorąco ze zróżnicowana zawartością aluminium (3-8%). Badania prowadzono dla oceny podatności badanych stopów do kształtowania plastycznego w warunkach przeróbki plastycznej na gorąco. Przeprowadzono próbę rozciągania w temperaturze od 250 do 450 st.C, na podstawie której określono wytrzymałość na rozciąganie i przewężenie badanych próbek. Wykonane próby ściskania pozwoliły na wyznaczenie naprężenia uplastyczniajacego i zmian mikrostruktury po odkształceniu. Dla badanych stopów wyznaczono energię aktywacji odkształcenia plastycznego na gorąco. Określono parametry procesu, dla których na przebieg plastycznego płynięcia wpływa istotnie bliźniakowanie w mikrostrukturze. Wykazano zróżnicowaną plastyczność badanych stopów w zależności od zawartości aluminium. Wyniki badań będą pomocne do opracowania technologii kucia wybranych elementów konstrukcyjnych stanowiących lekkie zamienniki stosowanych obecnie materiałów.

Dijkstra's Algorithm is one of the most popular algorithms in computer science. It is also popular in operations research. It is generally viewed and presented as a greedy algorithm. In this paper we attempt to change this perception by providing a dynamic programming perspective on the algorithm. In particular, we are reminded that this famous algorithm is strongly inspired by Bellman's Principle of Optimality and that both conceptually and technically it constitutes a dynamic programming successive approximation procedure par excellence. One of the immediate implications of this perspective is that this popular algorithm can be incorporated in the dynamic programming syllabus and in turn dynamic programming should be (at least) alluded to in a proper exposition/teaching of the algorithm.

The main goal of this task was a calculation of the two multivariable regulators for precise steering of a real, floating, training ship. The first one minimized the H2 norm of the closed-loop system. The second one was related to the Hinf norm. The robust control approach was applied in this controller with the usage of the structured singular value concept. Both controllers are described in the first part of the paper. Details of the training vessel and its simulation model then are presented. The state model of the control object obtained via identification process is described in the next section. This model with matrices weighting functions was the base for creation of ’the augmented state model’ for the open-loop system. The calculation results of the multivariable controllers is also shown in this section. Several simulations were performed in order to verify the control quality of both regulators. Exemplary results are presented at the end of this paper together with final remarks.

The main topic of this paper refers to the numerous relations between the decrements of the dynamic viscosity of non-Newtonian bio-liquid lubricated human joints on the one hand and, on the other hand, with consequences resulting from various diseases such as low fitness and low skills of human limbs, joint unfitness, large wear of cooperating cartilage bio-surfaces. Additionally, this paper indicates the pharmacology methods performed in vivo to enhance the bio-liquid lubricant dynamic viscosity. After numerous experimental measurements, it directly follows that the collagen fibre, hyaluronate acid particle, power hydrogen ion concentration pH in lubricating bio-liquid and absorbability features of lubricated bio-surface have a direct and indirect significant influence on the bio-liquid dynamic viscosity values variations with interfacial energy distribution across the film thickness. The results presented in this paper are confirmed based on experimental measurements and analytical, numerical solutions of the load-carrying capacity, friction coefficient and bio-liquid dynamic variations performed for various human joints. These effects were simply disregarded in previous studies. The aforementioned problem has not been considered in contemporary research literature in the medical tribology domain to the Author's best knowledge. The results obtained should enable one to introduce more effective and accurate therapeutic protocols into the human joint treatment regimen. The results obtained have applications on a wide scale in spatiotemporal models in bio-tribology, biology and health science.
Główny temat pracy dotyczy licznych związków pomiędzy spadkiem lepkości dynamicznej nienewtonowskiej biocieczy smarującej stawy człowieka z jednej strony a konsekwencjami powodowanymi przez różne choroby z drugiej strony, takimi jak: mała sprawność oraz zręczność kończyn, brak sprawności stawów, znaczne zużycie powierzchni chrząstki. Niniejsza praca przedstawia dodatkowo farmakologiczne metody powiększania in vivo lepkości dynamicznej smarującej cieczy biologicznej. Z licznych eksperymentalnych pomiarów wynika, że włókna kolagenowe, cząsteczki kwasu hialuronowego, potęgowa koncentracja jonów wodorowych pH w biologicznej cieczy smarującej oraz właściwości absorbcji smarowanej powierzchni chrząstki, mają istotny pośredni i bezpośredni wpływ na zmiany lepkości dynamicznej oraz rozkład energii wewnętrznej w poprzek grubości warstwy cieczy biologicznej. Przedstawione w pracy rezultaty potwierdzone zostały na podstawie eksperymentalnych pomiarów oraz analityczno-numerycznych obliczeń siły nośnej, współczynnika tarcia, zmian lepkości dynamicznej smarującej cieczy biologicznej, przeprowadzonych dla różnych stawów człowieka. We wcześniejszych badaniach takie efekty były pomijane. Według informacji autorów, rozpatrywany problem nie był rozpatrywany we współczesnych badaniach literaturowych tribologii medycznej. Przedstawione rezultaty umożliwią wykonywanie bardziej dokładnych leczniczych protokołów w trakcie wykonywania zabiegów dla stawów człowieka. Wyniki uzyskane w pracy znajdują zastosowanie na szeroką skalę w czasowo-przestrzennych modelach biotribologii oraz nauki o zdrowiu.
