interpretation of dynamic processes
Opis:
The article discusses the phenomenon of “disappearance” in the supervision process. The authors show that the phenomenon of “disappearance” is a result of the peculiarities of the flow of group dynamics at the initial stage of the group’s development. The manifestation of all the phenomena of the initial stage of group dynamics is characteristic for a supervision multimodal group. The condition provoking the development of the phenomenon of “disappearance” is the activation of deep layers of the unconscious, typical for situations of group therapy and supervision. The motivational basis of this phenomenon is the avoidance of the narcissistic trauma of the specialist exposing the case to supervision. The article offers examples of how this phenomenon manifests, and discusses its variations. The article draws from the theoretical traditions in psychology such as  psychoanalysis, group analysis and professional multimodal model of supervision.

Contemporary engine tests are performed based on the theory of experiment. The available versions of programmes used for analysing experimental data make frequent use of the multiple regression model, which enables examining effects and interactions between input model parameters and a single output variable. The use of multi-equation models provides more freedom in analysing the measured results, as those models enable simultaneous analysis of effects and interactions between many output variables. They can also be used as a tool in preparing experimental material for other advanced diagnostic tools, such as the models making use of neural networks which, when properly prepared, enable also analysing measurement results recorded during dynamic processes. The article presents advantages of the use of the abovementioned analytical tools and a sample application of the neural model developed based on the results of examination carried out on the engine research rig.

We analyze the medium- and long-run effects caused by an inflow of capital into a labor-abundant country. For that purpose, we incorporate directed technical change into a Heckscher-Ohlin model with a continuum of goods. This provides a comprehensive theory explaining the dynamics of comparative advantage based on differences in effective factor endowments, i.e. factor endowments adjusted by differences in technological levels. Our model constitutes an appropriate framework for understanding, e.g., the empirically observed changes in industrial structures of Central and Eastern European countries. Furthermore, we provide a theoretical foundation for the empirical Prospective Comparative Advantage index with new insights into the future dynamics of comparative advantage. Eventually, we show the importance of research spillovers and state dependence on the process of convergence.

In the paper a model of energy flow and distribution in ship diesel engine cylinder was presented. This is a model of discrete parameters, being a continuation of the author s research on simulation of energy processing within ship main propulsion engine [2,3]. The model in question makes it possible to calculate energy flow values delivered and transferred during every working cycle of the engine cylinder. Results of application of the model for 6ZA40S Sulzer engine installed on B672 ship were also attached. The results were compared with results of test-stand measurements of the engine, performed at different load levels.

Opis:
Markov decision processes (MDPs) provide a mathematical model for sequential decisionmaking (sMDP/dMDP: stochastic/ deterministic MDP). We introduce the concept of generalized dMDP (g-dMDP) where each action may result in more than one next (parallel or clone) state. The common tools to represent dMDPs are digraphs, but these are inadequate for sMDPs and g-dMDPs. We introduce d-graphs as general tools to represent all the above mentioned processes (stationary versions). We also present a combined d-graph algorithm that implements dynamic programming strategies to find optimal policies for the finite/infinite horizon versions of these Markov processes. (The preliminary version of this paper was presented at the Conference MACRo 2011.)

The paper presents a static model of the price calculation for the various alternative electricity sources, and includes technical and economic performance of different energy sources for the guaranteed power. The table with calculated technical and economic indicators for various alternative energy sources is provided. The presented dynamic model which unites energy indicators of power generating systems and economic indicators of the closed macroeconomic system because price regulation on the power market of Ukraine happens in a statics. That’s why not allowed to perform an assessment of dynamic change of the tariff price of the electric power in the local isolated systems. When abrupt change isolated power generating capacity of the system is changing the tariff price of electricity cannot be taken into account when using static models. An example of the isolated system consisting of the diesel generator and the consumer is reviewed. The model allows to research influence of transition processes of the generator on change of cost indicators of an economic system, and also to estimate the adequate tariff price both for the producer, and for consumers of the electric power. This model is modelled in Matlab.

Opis:
The aim of this paper is to discuss the concept of Routine Dynamics from the perspective of knowledge-intensive business processes. The traditional approach to business processes assumes control of the flow of well-structured activities that the organisation carries out to achieve its goals, and managing them focuses on their improvement through increased efficiency. However, an increasingly important role in the knowledge economy is played by knowledge-intensive business processes, which are highly dependent on human judgment, as well as real knowledge, which requires partially structured and unstructured decision-making. This demands a change in the approach to process management and its improvement, beyond efficiency only. It requires the use of the dynamism of process executors to create value by using and creating knowledge during the execution of pro-cesses. To illustrate this transformation, processes from the healthcare sector were used as a case study, as they encapsulate the limitations of the traditional approach to process management and the need to move to a dynamic one. As a result, two process models were presented, showing the need for a dynamic approach to health process management as a way to create and use rapidly changing knowledge, and to incorporate new technologies that not only increase the efficiency of processes (e.g. automate them), but above all create new knowledge, and use data on patients in real-time.

Opis:
As customers demand easier access to individualized products and services, companies now face an ongoing problem of how to deliver flexible and innovative solutions while maintaining efficiency and competitiveness. In this environment, the only sustainable form of competitive advantage rests in the ability to learn faster than the competition (de Geus, 1988). The article returns to the somewhat forgotten concept of the learning organization and explores how its principles can be applied with the use of dynamic business process management (dynamic BPM). Enabling in this concept individual or team-based limited experimentation and providing conditions for learning though experience in the course of performing business processes allows for the constant creation of practical knowledge. This article provides examples of how dynamic BPM facilitates the constant creation and verification of practical knowledge, with the aim of improving and adapting processes to maintain the competitive advantage of the organization.

Opis:
Purpose: Elaborate stochastic models to comprehensive evaluation of occupational risks in “man - machine - environment” systems taking into account the random and dynamic nature of the impact on the employee of negative factors over time. Design/methodology/approach: Within study, the methods of probability theory and the theory of Markov processes - to find the limit distribution of the random process of dynamic impact on the employee of negative factors over time and obtain main rates against which the level of occupational risks within the "man - machine - environment" systems can be comprehensively evaluated; Erlang phases method, Laplace transform, difference equations theory, method of mathematical induction - to elaborate a method of analytical solution of the appropriate limit task for a system of differential equations in partial derivatives and appropriate limit conditions were used. Findings: A system of differential equations in partial derivatives and relevant limit conditions is derived, which allowed to identify the following main rates for comprehensive evaluation of occupational risks in systems "man - machine - environment": probability of excess the limit of the employee's accumulation of negative impact of the harmful production factor; probability of the employee’s injury of varying severity in a random time. An method to the solution the limit task for a system of differential equations, which allows to provide a lower bounds of the probability of a certain occupational danger occurrence was elaborated. Research limitations/implications: The elaborated approach to injury risk evaluation is designed to predict cases of non-severe injuries. At the same time, this approach allows to consider more severe cases too, but in this case the task will be more difficult. Practical implications: The use of the elaborated models allows to apply a systematic approach to the evaluation of occupational risks in enterprises and to increase the objectivity of the evaluation results by taking into account the real characteristics of the impact of negative factors on the employee over time. Originality/value: For the first time, a special subclass of Markov processes - Markov drift processes was proposed and substantiated for use to comprehensive evaluation of occupational risks in “man - machine - environment” systems.
