Opis:
We apply a modification of the viscosity solution concept introduced in [8] to the Isaacs equation defined on the set attainable from a given set of initial conditions. We extend the notion of a lower strategy introduced by us in [17] to a more general setting to prove that the lower and upper values of a differential game are subsolutions (resp. supersolutions) in our sense to the upper (resp. lower) Isaacs equation of the differential game. Our basic restriction is that the variable duration time of the game is bounded above by a certain number T>0. In order to obtain our results, we prove the Bellman optimality principle of dynamic programming for differential games.

Opis:
The paper investigates the sensitivity of safe ship control to inaccurate data from the ARPA anti-collision radar system and to changes in the process control parameters. The system structure of safe ship control in collision situations and computer support programmes exploring information from the ARPA anti-collision radar are presented. Sensitivity characteristics of the multistage positional non-cooperative and cooperative game and kinematics optimization control algorithms are determined through examples of navigational situations with restricted visibility at sea.

Opis:
The paper presents the results of experimental verification on using a zero-sum differential game and H∞ control in the problems of tracking and stabilizing motion of a wheeled mobile robot (WMR). It is a new approach to the synthesis of input-output systems based on the theory of dissipative systems in the sense of the possibility of their practical application. This paper expands upon the problem of optimal control of a nonlinear, nonholonomic wheeled mobile robot by including the reduced impact of changing operating condtions and possible disturbances of the robot’s complex motion. The proposed approach is based on the H∞ control theory and the control is generated by the neural approximation solution to the Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs equation. Our verification experiments confirm that the H∞ condition is met for reduced impact of disturbances in the task of tracking and stabilizing the robot motion in the form of changing operating conditions and other disturbances, which made it possible to achieve high accuracy of motion.

Opis:
This paper studies the H∞ disturbance attenuation problem for index one descriptor systems using the theory of differential games. To solve this disturbance attenuation problem the problem is converted into a reduced ordinary zero-sum game. Within a linear quadratic setting the problem is solved for feedback information structure.

The paper introduces the positional cooperative and non-cooperative game of a greater number of met ships for the description of the process considered as well as for the synthesis of optimal control strategies of the own ship in collision situation. The approximated mathematical model of differential game in the form of triple linear programming problem is used for the synthesis of safe ship trajectory as a multistage process decision. The considerations have been illustrated an example of program computer simulation to determine the safe ship trajectories in situation of passing a many of the ships encountered.

Opis:
The article presents the approach of decentralization of calculations related to the synthesis of controlling through division of an optimalization problem into lesser dimensionality subproblems. Applied was differential Nash game for objects of serial structure. The main idea of the method is to assign individual functionals of quality to subobjects and conduct the synthesis of regulators in a sequential way, beginning with the first subobject. Thanks to the sequential structure of the object it is possible to obtain a solution by decentralized optimizations

Opis:
The paper is devoted to the optimization of the microstructure parameters of a porous medium under thermo-mechanical loading. Four different criteria related to the properties of the porous material have been proposed and numerically implemented. To solve a multiobjective problem, a novel method based on the coupling of differential evolution and elements of game theory is used. The proposed algorithm features an appropriate balance between exploration and exploitation of objective space, which is necessary for the successful optimization of these types of tasks with the use of numerical simulations. The model of the thermo-elastic porous material is composed of two-scale direct analysis based on a numerical homogenization. Direct thermoelastic analysis with representative volume element (RVE) and finite element method (FEM) is performed. Numerical example of the optimization illustrating the usefulness of the proposed method is included.
