Opis:
Aim/purpose – The main aim of this paper is to analyse and compare implementation of two methods of websites assessment: the conversion method and the scoring method. The secondary goal is to identify the best e-banking websites in Poland in 2017 from the point of view of an individual client. Design/methodology/approach – Based on the previous experiences in internet banking sphere authors take into account two methods – the most popular for this purpose – the scoring method and the author’s conversion method. Data for research are collected using original questionnaire, verified by a pilot study. To participate in the survey, those interested had to visit a special website containing a questionnaire. The research was carried out on over 700 people from the university environment in the end of 2017. Findings – The results obtained with both methods turned out to be similar. The study found that an economic criteria, a simplicity or an intuitiveness of navigating the website and a number of access channels are the most important factors for choosing the e-banking services by customers. Moreover, anti-crisis measures undertaken by bank (security of operations including) currently become of less importance to them. Research implications/limitations – The main implication for researchers is the proved possibility for using the conversion method, which combines the advantages of simplicity of the gathering data with the objectivity of such methods as, for example, AHP/ANP, or PROMETHEE, ELECTRE and its usefulness for the evaluation of the bank websites. The main restrictions were of two types. The first one concerned the selection of only those two methods for comparison in this study. The second limitation – was the selection of a research sample from the academic community only. Originality/value/contribution – The scope of this paper fills in the research gap that exists in the methods of website evaluation from the point of view of methods trying to solve this problem from a client’s point of view. The next research steps will go in the direction of comparison based on the same sample of the conversion method with other popular assessment methods to identify its advantages and disadvantages for the potential user. Furthermore, a research sample now requires extension beyond the academic community that the results of the study could be fully generalised.

Opis:
The authors of this article were guided by the desire to show the profitability of using renewable energy sources and to facilitate decisions for future investors as to their choice. The article classifies energy sources and methods for converting renewable energy sources (RES) and presents a technical comparison of two electricity supply systems: a photovoltaic system and a household wind farm for a selected building. A residential, single-family building, inhabited by a family of three, was adopted for analysis. Photovoltaics, the use of solar radiation energy to produce electricity, is classified next to wind farms as the most dynamically developing renewable energy technology. When analysing in terms of technology renewable conversion methods that provide us with electricity, the better installation is the photovoltaic installation. By analysing the cost of renewable energy conversion technologies that provide us with electricity, the photovoltaic system becomes more beneficial, because with a similar investment price we get a much shorter payback period than in the case of a backyard wind power station.
Autorzy niniejszego artykułu kierowali się chęcią pokazania opłacalności wykorzystywania odnawialnych źródeł energii i ułatwienia podjęcia decyzji przyszłym inwestorom, co do ich wyboru. W niniejszym artykule sklasyfikowano źródła energii i metody konwersji odnawialnych źródeł energii oraz podjęto próbę porównania, w aspekcie technicznym i kosztowym dostarczania energii elektrycznej do wybranego budynku mieszkalnego, dwóch z nich: fotowoltaiki i siłowni wiatrowej. Przedstawiono porównanie techniczne dwóch systemów dostarczania energii elektrycznej: systemu fotowoltaicznego i przydomowej elektrowni wiatrowej, do wybranego obiektu budowlanego. Do analizy przyjęto budynek mieszkalny, jednorodzinny, zamieszkiwany przez 3 osobową rodzinę. Przyjęto roczne zapotrzebowanie na energię elektryczną równe 3500 kWh, co jest równe średniemu europejskiemu rocznemu zapotrzebowaniu na energię dla gospodarstwa domowego. W domu posiadamy tradycyjną instalację elektryczną, do której podłączamy zaproponowane rozwiązania.

In this paper a sample rate conversion algorithm which allows for continuously changing resampling ratio has been presented. The proposed implementation is based on a variable fractional delay filter which is implemented by means of a Farrow structure. Coefficients of this structure are computed on the basis of fractional delay filters which are designed using the offset window method. The proposed approach allows us to freely change the instantaneous resampling ratio during processing. Using such an algorithm we can simulate recording of audio on magnetic tape with nonuniform velocity as well as remove such distortions. We have demonstrated capabilities of the proposed approach based on the example of speech signal processing with a resampling ratio which was computed on the basis of estimated fundamental frequency of voiced speech segments.

Opis:
Purpose of the article is to study a four-parameter electromagnetic method for joint measurements of electrical resistivity k, relative permittivity εr, temperature t and density ρ of samples of acidic, alkaline and average effluents from a microbrewery based on a magnetic flux probe (MFP), which considers the influence of informative parameters of beer effluents on the components of the amplitude and phase signals of a multiparameter device. Design/methodology/approach The implementation of the four-parameter method is carried out on the basis of the dependences G1 = f (A1) and G2 = f (A2) at two frequencies of the electromagnetic field f0 and f1 for acid, alkaline and average effluent and allows you to jointly determine the four parameters of effluent samples with the same converter in the same control area. The proposed method makes it possible to improve the accuracy of identifying effluent samples since the obtained multiparameter information makes it possible to determine the nature and properties of effluent samples using only one transducer with certain physical characteristics. The research results lead to the expansion of the technical capabilities of electromagnetic measurement methods, as well as to an increase in the metrological characteristics of electromagnetic transducers and an increase in the accuracy of measuring the parameters of effluent samples compared to reference methods and measuring instruments. Thus, the implementation of this approach contributes to the prediction and prevention of the reasons for the deviation of beer effluent samples from the specified indicators of environmental safety. Findings The universal conversion functions MFP have been established, connecting the amplitude and phase components of the converter signals with the parameters k, εr, t and ρ of acidic, alkaline and average effluents. Based on the universal transformation functions G1 = f (A1) and G2 = f (A2), a four-parameter electromagnetic method for joint measurements of electrical resistivity k, relative permittivity εr, temperature t and density ρ of acidic, alkaline, and average effluents from breweries has been developed. When conducting research at two close frequencies of the electromagnetic field f0 = 20.3 MHz and f1 = 22 MHz, algorithms were obtained for measuring and calculating procedures for determining k, εr, t and ρ for samples of acidic, alkaline and average effluents from the brewing industry. Research limitations/implications Research perspectives consist in the creation of automated systems for multiparameter measuring control of the physicochemical characteristics of acidic and alkaline effluent from food and processing industries based on the immersed electromagnetic transducer. Based on the data obtained using informative methods to measure the parameters of effluent samples, an integrated method for treating beer effluents of various compositions will be proposed. At the same time, the scheme of the integrated treatment method should include a filter that provides the introduction of a magnetic fluid and a separation device that allows us to remove a fraction, including pollution in itself. Practical implications Is that the proposed four-parameter electromagnetic method makes it possible to determine to what composition the controlled samples of wastewater should be attributed (acidic or alkaline). It, in turn, makes it possible to choose a rational method for treating beer effluents and to prevent the reasons for the deviation of effluent samples from the environmental safety indicators set by the standards. Originality/value of the article is the research related to the expansion of the functional and technical capabilities of the electromagnetic two-frequency transducer MFP through the implementation of a four-parameter electromagnetic method of joint measurements of electrical resistivity k, relative permittivity εr, temperature t and density ρ of acidic, alkaline and average effluents from breweries. The universal transformation functions G1 = f (A1) and G2 = f (A2) found in the work at two close magnetic field frequencies, f0 = 20.3 MHz and f1 = 22 MHz, make it possible to control four physicochemical parameters of acidic, alkaline and average wastewater at the same time by the same MFP. An algorithm has been developed for determining the signal components of a two-frequency thermal MFP, the ranges of which correspond to the ranges of changes in electrical resistivity k, relative permittivity εr, temperature t and density ρ of acidic, alkaline, and average brewery effluents. The basic relations that describe the two-frequency four-parameter electromagnetic method of joint measurements of the physicochemical parameters of acidic, alkaline and averaged beer effluents have been obtained.
