In order to meet the operation requirements of the beam supply with multi-working conditions, multi-modes and high efficiency, a dual-mode hybrid output control method combining phase-shifting and pulse-width dual-mode modulation technology with secondary side series-parallel operation is proposed. In this paper, the structure and working mode of the new dual full-bridge topology are firstly analyzed. Secondly, the main circuit parameters are designed according to the power performance indicators, and the losses under two control modes of phase shift and pulse width are calculated. Finally, comparing the losses of these two control methods, and combining the series-parallel operation mode of the secondary side of the transformer, a dual-mode switching control method of the beam supply is designed. In order to verify the rationality of the dual-mode mixed output control method, a principle prototype with a rated capacity of 2 kW, a rated voltage of 1 800 V and a switching frequency of 50 kHz was used for verification. Experiments show the effectiveness and superiority of the dual-mode hybrid output control method.

In the paper an algorithm and computer code for the identification of the hysteresis parameters of the Jiles-Atherton model have been presented. For the identification the particle swarm optimization method (PSO) has been applied. In the optimization procedure five design variables has been assumed. The computer code has been elaborated using Delphi environment. Three types of material have been examined. The results of optimization have been compared to experimental ones. Selected results of the calculation for different material are presented and discussed. A novel vector operated one-cycle control matrix rectifier (OCC-MR) is proposed in this paper. Matrix rectifier (MR) is a generalized buck three-phase AC-DC converter with four-quadrant operation capability. MR can also be the front-stage circuit of AC-DC-AC equivalent structure of MC. One-cycle control (OCC) is a nonlinear control technique, which integrates modulation algorithm and control strategy. By applying OCC to current control loop, the OCC-MR achieves balance only in a switching cycle,and realizes unitary input power factor. Furthermore, vector operation of OCC results In minimum switching losses. In order to make up for the insufficiency of OCC on load disturbance suppression, a PID controller is added onto output voltage control to improve load regulation. The OCC-MR features great simplicity, fast dynamic response and good immunity on input disturbance. On the basis of theoretical analysis, a systematic simulation of OCC-MR is implemented by means of Matlab/Simulink. Both static state performance and dynamic state performance of OCC-MR are discussed deeply. The simulation results have proved theoretical analysis of the vector operation of OCC-MR, and the control effects are satisfactory.

The union of different devices in order to obtain a specific response for a process is commonly called a control system. For a control system, it is necessary to have one or more controllers. Among the most used in the industrial sector are the PID and PI controllers. Next to these controllers is the control software. Scilab is a good example of control software. It is characterized as free code software, with no cost for its acquisition, in addition to having a large computational power and integrated tools, such as Xcos, intended for modeling and simulation. For the union with Scilab, there is Arduino. Such a mixture can be used, for example, to control liquid levels in tanks. In this context, the present work aims to study the tank-level control system based on PID and PI controllers through the union between Scilab and Arduino. Phenomenological models were developed based on closed-loop control (feedback control system) of the process with two tanks not coupled with recycle. Furthermore, for comparison purposes, two approaches were used for each process: one considering the saturation of the manipulated variable and the other without the presence of such saturation. At first, there was a need to implement an anti-windup system. For tuning the controller parameters, the ISE method was used, executed through a programming code developed in Scilab. The parameters found for the two systems were tested on a made-up experimental bench. Therefore, using the block diagrams and the method here called “ISE method”, satisfactory values were obtained for the control parameters. These were ratified in the tests carried out in the experimental module. Level control was achieved with greater prominence for the PI controller since there is one less parameter to be tuned and processed by the system. This controller provided results close to the PID controller for cycles up to 50%. In general, the PI controller showed maximum response deviations smaller than the PID, such as deviations of 1.55 cm and 2.40 cm, respectively, for the case with 75% recycle. It was also clear the influence of the saturation of the manipulated variable on the system response, but not on the tuning of the controller parameterseters.

In carbohydrate-starved root meristems of Vicia faba subsp. minor, the expression of two Principal Control Points located at the final stages of the G1 (PCP1) and G2 (PCP2) phases has been found to be correlated with a marked decrease of protein phosphorylation within cell nuclei, nucleoli and cytoplasm. Adopting the same experimental model in our present studies, monoclonal FITC conjugated antibodies that recognize phosphorylated form of threonine (αTPab-FITC) were used to obtain an insight about how the indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), benzyl-6-aminopurine (BAP), and the mixture of both phytohormones influence the time-course changes in an overall protein phosphorylation during sucrose-mediated PCP1→S and PCP2→M transitions. Unsuspectedly, neither IAA, BAP, nor the mixture of both phytohormones supplied in combination with sucrose did up-regulate protein phosphorylation. However using the block-and-release method, it was shown that root meristems of Vicia provided with sucrose alone indicated higher levels of αTPab-FITC. Contrarily, phytohormones supplied in combination with sucrose induced apparent decline in phosphorylation of cell proteins, which - when compared with the influence of sucrose alone - became increasingly evident in time. Thus, it seems probable, that a general decline in the amount of αTPab-FITC labeled epitopes may overlay specific phosphorylations and dephosphorylations governed by the main cell cycle kinases and phosphatases.

The purpose of this study was to investigate soleus muscle activation during different phases of drop jump performed at submaximal levels of volitional effort and drop height magnitude. Methods: Fifteen professional volleyball players with minimum of eight years of experience in jumping activities participated in the study. Experimental protocol involved executing submaximal drop jumps at three levels of volitional effort (i.e., 65, 80 and 95% of the maximal height of jump). All submaximal drop jumps were done from three drop heights (20, 40 and 60 cm). The soleus muscle activation was monitored during four jump phases: pre-activation phase before touchdown, early contact phase upon touchdown, early and late push-off phase. Results: The results indicate that volitional effort level did not change the muscle activation during pre activation and early contact phase, but only in early and late push-off phase ( p ≤ 0.05). Conversely, it was observed that muscle activation during all phases of drop jump was adapted to the increased intensity of the external load caused by increasing of drop height magnitude ( p ≤ 0.01). Conclusions: The findings of the present study suggested that soleus muscle activation has selective responses to internal load (i.e., volitional effort level) and external load (i.e., drop height magnitude) intensities when drop jump is executing with submaximal effort.

The aim of this article is to identify and discuss some issues related to functional safety and security management in hazardous industrial plants. The safety functions are to be realised using the electric / electronic / programmable electronic systems (E/E/PESs) or the safety instrumented systems (SISs) that are designed and operated respectively according to IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 requirements in life cycle. Although the role of functional safety solutions in effective reducing and controlling the individual and/or societal risks has been widely recognised, the substantial problems emerge when E/E/PEs or SISs operate in industrial distributed computer networks. Thus, the security-related problems appear that can introduce some additional risks. An integrated systemic functional safety and security concept is proposed, which includes general requirements as well as appropriate using specified methods and international standards.

This paper presents extensions of some results, obtained for the analysis of classical nonlinear control systems, to the nonlinear fractional order systems. It is shown that the results related to limit cycle prediction using describing function method can be applied to the fractional order plants. The frequency and the amplitude of the limit cycle are used for auto-tuning of the PID controller for nonlinear control systems with fractional order transfer functions. Fractional order control system with parametric uncertainty is also considered for the nonlinear case. On the other hand, a New method is provided for stability margin computation for fractional order nonlinear control system with parametric uncertainty structure using the Nyquist envelopes of the fractional order uncertain plant and the describing function that represents the nonlinearity of the system. Maximum perturbation bounds of the parameters of the fractional order plant are computed. Numerical examples are included to illustrate the methods presented.

Given the importance of quality and responsiveness of manufacturing companies to customers, the most important principle can be considered reducing the cycle time of the production process. Since preserving the quality standards in a disposable necessities manufacturer is important, the Fuzzy Taguchi method as a powerful design optimization tool is used to determine the quality and design of optimal control parameters. Because in the real world due to measurement errors and inaccuracies in information and uncertainty in processes, fuzzy concepts have been used. Therefore, in this study, the parameters for controlling the process of disposable essentials are optimized to reduce the time cycle. Also, S/N and ANOVA methods have been used to study the characteristics of process performance. The four control parameters affecting the feed rate of the sheet, the machine wind pressure, and the mold temperature and sheet thickness affect the quality of the process. And Taguchi Fuzzy is a systematic and efficient method that reduces the cycle time. Experimental results have been reviewed and presented to evaluate the effectiveness of this approach in the Kach Company.
Czas trwania cyklu procesu produkcyjnego jest jednym z podstawowych czynników zarówno zapewnienia wysokiej jakości produkcji jak również zmniejszenia czasu reakcji producentów na wymagania klienta. W pracy prowadzono optymalizację parametrów sterujących stosowanych w procesie produkcji wyrobów jednorazowego użytku dla skrócenia czasu cyklu produkcyjnego. Do badań przyjęto metodę Taguchiego z elementami logiki rozmytej. Uwzględniono w procesie optymalizacji wpływ błędów pomiarowych, niedokładność danych wejściowych oraz niepewność w ustaleniu prawidłowych wartości parametrów procesu. Stosowano w badaniach cztery parametry sterujące procesu: grubość arkusza tworzywa, prędkość podawania arkusza, ciśnienie robocze maszyny i temperaturę matrycy. Stosowano metodę S/N i analizę wariancji (ANOVA) dla oceny przebiegu procesu produkcyjnego. Wyniki analizy danych doświadczalnych były podstawą oceny efektywności optymalizacji procesu produkcyjnego w firmie Kach Company.

The article presents the control system for the initiation of quasi-static and low-cycle bending and torsional loads that is intended for fatigue endurance tests in which the maximum value of the load imposed is calibrated electrically or mechanically. The components of the developed system are presented together with examples of the practical application of the system in testers for printed objects.
W artykule przedstawiono układ sterowania do wywierania quasi-statycznych i niskocyklowych małych obciążeń zginających i skręcających dedykowany do badania wytrzymałości zmęczeniowej obiektów w urządzeniach testujących, w których kalibracja maksymalnej wartości wywieranego obciążenia odbywa się w sposób elektryczny lub mechaniczny. Przedstawiono elementy składowe opracowanego układu sterowania oraz zaprezentowano przykładowe aplikacje układu w testerach wyrobów poligraficznych.

The paper is focused on selected technical problems of cogeneration of heat and electric power (combined heat and power – CHP) both in a large and small scale. First, largescale cogeneration systems applied in large power industry are discussed and results of adaptive control of extraction condensing turbines are presented. Then, advantages of distributed cogeneration are pointed out and small-scale cogeneration systems aimed for modernisation of a fossil-fuel district heating plant are investigated. At the end of the paper, organic Rankine cycle (ORC) heat and power units are described for biomassfuelled cogeneration and topping of main generation units to use the recovery heat.

The article presents theoretical research of the proposed system of fully independent valve control (FIVC) of the SI engine. The analysis included controlling the movement of the intake valves, which results in adjusting the mass of the fresh charge to the current engine load, as well as the movement of the exhaust valves, where the main aim is to keep the rest of the exhaust gas in the cylinder, i.e. implementation of internal EGR. The open theoretical Seiliger-Sabathe cycle with the classic throttle regulation of load is the reference cycle for assessment of benefits and study of the effectiveness of obtaining work as a result of application of the FIVC system. A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of application of the proposed system was carried out based on the selected quantities: fuel dose, cycle work, relative work of charge exchange and cycle efficiency. The use of the FIVC to regulate the SI engine load makes it possible to eliminate the throttle and thus reduce the charge exchange work, especially in the partial load range. And this then leads to an increase in internal and effective work, which in turn results in an increase in the effective energy efficiency of an engine operation.

The article examines methodical and organizational approaches used in the development of information support for business activity results. Accounting data and its analysis, as well as internal control results, form the basis for the information support development. The aspects of accounting and analytical support at different stages of business entity operation have been analyzed with regard to adjustments in regulatory control of economic and accounting issues.
Zbadano metodyczne i organizacyjne podejścia do tworzenia wsparcia informacyjnego dla prezentacji wyników działalności gospodarczej przedsiębiorstwa, które opierają się na informacjach dostarczanych przez rachunkowość, analizę ekonomiczną oraz kontrolę wewnętrzną. Z uwagi na różnorodną działalność przedsiębiorstw zaleca się zróżnicowanie systemu wsparcia księgowo-analitycznego oraz kontroli wewnętrznej zgodnie z trzema poziomami trudności: prostym, o umiarkowanej złożoności i kompleksowym. Ze względu na specyfikę działalności przedsiębiorstw w różnych fazach cyklu ich życia w artykule zaproponowano, by w każdej z wymienionych przez autorów faz, posługiwać się właściwym systemem wsparcia księgowo-analitycznego oraz kontroli wewnętrznej. Zaproponowana modyfikacja wsparcia informacyjnego wyników działalności gospodarczej przedsiębiorstwa w zależności od faz cyklu życia przedsiębiorstwa pozwoli jego kierownictwu uzyskiwać na czas użyteczną informację o wynikach działalności i podejmować niezbędne decyzje w najwcześniejszym możliwym terminie.

The paper presents a comparison of the fatigue life curves based on test of 15Mo3 steel under cyclic, pendulum bending and tension-compression. These studies were analyzed in terms of a large and small number of cycles where strain amplitude is dependent on the fatigue life. It has been shown that commonly used Manson-Coffin-Basquin model cannot be used for tests under cyclic bending due to the impossibility of separating elastic and plastic strains. For this purpose, some well-known models of Langer and Kandil and one new model of authors, where strain amplitude is dependent on the number of cycles, were proposed. Comparing the results of bending with tension-compression it was shown that for smaller strain amplitudes the fatigue life for both test methods were similar, for higher strain amplitudes fatigue life for bending tests was greater than for tension-compression.
