Background: Oxycodone is a semi-synthetic narcotic analgesic medication with numerous side eefcts. Patients who use oxycodone may have one or more side eefcts depending on their clinical status and/or other factors. Our aim was to analyze clinical trials for any potential paetrn related to the side eefcts of oxycodone. Methods: We searched the ClinicalTrials.gov database for clinical studies conducted around the world regarding oxycodone. A number of general data analytic and text manipulation techniques were used in the Python programming language. Results: We analyzed 842 clinical trials involving oxycodone. Our results suggest that the researchers focused on oxycodone's typical side eefcts (e.g. vomiting), as opposed to the less evident and/or long-term side eefcts e.g. depression, confusion and constipation. Conclusions: The adverse eefcts of oxycodone most commonly reported in the clinical trials are nausea, vomiting and depression. Despite the clinical use of oxycodone in all the age groups (including infants), very few of the publicly-available clinical trials included participants < 18 years of age. Toussi AG, Toosi FG. We often fall into silence. After that, we make a decision through confusion, in most cases. In silence, cool mind runs parallel with warm heart. Traversing over these two, the phenomenon arises, chich can be interpreted as a fuzzy event, which can be called waver. In other words, two states of nature develop into conflict, and are covered by a fuzzy event. In confusion, we consider that the states of nature, which had been moving in conflict, not only undergo an inversion, but also a transformation takes place from warm heart into dry mind. It is therefore possible to derive a fuzzy function, resulting from the fuzzification of the transition matrix from silence to confusion, absorbing noise, and taking expectation to link the membership function with the multi-attribute utility function. This short note shows that we can calculate the expected utility by using both the probability of a fuzzy. event and the subjective importance of the two states of nature for the decision maker. Further, we can obtain an optimum action, based on the theory of maximum expected utility.

There are an increasing number of binaural systems embedded with head-related transfer functions (HRTFs), so listeners can experience virtual environments via conventional stereo loudspeakers or head- phones. As HRTFs vary from person to person, it is difficult to select appropriated HRTFs from already existing databases for users. Once the HRTFs in a binaural audio device hardly match the real ones of the users, poor localization happens especially on the cone of confusion. The most accurate way to obtain personalized HRTFs might be doing practical measurements. It is, however, expensive and time consuming. Modifying non-individualized HRTFs may be an effort-saving way, though the modifications are always accompanied by undesired audio distortion. This paper proposes a flexible HRTF adjustment system for users to define their own HRTFs. Also, the system can keep sounds from suffering intolerable distortion based on an objective measurement tool for evaluating the quality of processed audio.

The healthcare industry is one of the many out there that could majorly benefit from advancement in the technology it utilizes. Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are especially integral and specifically deep learning (DL); a highly useful data-driven technology. It is applied in a variety of different methods but it mainly depends on the structure of the available data. However, with varying applications, this technology produces data in different contexts with particular connotations. Reports which are the images of scans play a great role in identifying the existence of the disease in a patient. Further, the automation in processing these images using technology like CNN-based models makes it highly efficient in reducing human errors otherwise resulting in large data. Hence this study presents a hybrid deep learning architecture to classify the histopathology images to identify the presence of cancer in a patient. Further, the proposed models are parallelized using the TensorFlow-GPU framework to accelerate the training of these deep CNN (Convolution Neural Networks) archi-tectures. This study uses the transfer learning technique during training and early stopping criteria are used to avoid overfitting during the training phase. these models use LSTM parallel layer imposed in the model to experiment with four considered architectures such as MobileNet, VGG16, and ResNet with 101 and 152 layers. The experimental results produced by these hybrid models show that the capability of Hybrid ResNet101 and Hybrid ResNet152 architectures are highly suitable with an accuracy of 90% and 92%. Finally, this study concludes that the proposed Hybrid ResNet-152 architecture is highly efficient in classifying the histopathology images. The proposed study has conducted a well-focused and detailed experimental study which will further help researchers to understand the deep CNN architectures to be applied in application development.

Abstract: Th e article concerns employees’ situation on the contemporary labour market. In particular, the essence of changes in work environment and the competences necessary to carry them out were characterized. Subsequently, the attention was focused on the employees’ confusion in the face of technological and organizational changes and on the conditions enabling the understanding of the goals and consequences of these changes. A separate place is devoted to the considerations on the ways of reacting to the changes occurring.
Streszczenie: Artykuł jest poświęcony sytuacji pracowników na współczesnym rynku pracy. W szczególności scharakteryzowano istotę zmian w środowisku pracy oraz niezbędne do ich przeprowadzenia kompetencje. W dalszej kolejności skoncentrowano uwagę na zagubieniu pracowników w obliczu zmian technologicznych i organizacyjnych oraz na warunkach umożliwiających zrozumienie celów i konsekwencji tych zmian. Osobne miejsce zajmują rozważania na temat sposobów reakcji – zareagowania na występujące zmiany.

The article describes the characteristics of the spatial disorientation simulator constructed for the Polish Air Force Academy aviation training. Using the spatial disorientation simulator enables safe training for military pilots, as it simulates visual illusions and spatial disorientation. The simulator makes it possible to train pilots in spatial disorientation conditions for every possible type of aircraft, through designing and conducting the proper aircraft cabin models. Spatial disorientation training has to main aims. The first one is familiarizing the pilots with spatial disorientation phenomenon, and providing them with essential knowledge and abilities through theoretical and practical acquaintance with physiological limitations. Such limitations are related to the impact of different aviation environmental aspects on the human body. The second aim of the training is increasing the efficiency of aviation training, in relation to recognizing, analyzing and proper reacting to real and simulated occurrences, which lead to spatial disorientation. The author describes main stages of the training conducted during the spatial disorientation course. The article categorizes major features of different spatial confusion types and characterizes types of air illusions.

Since the first confirmed case in Wuhan, China on December 31, 2019, the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has spread quickly, infecting 165 million people as of May 2021. Since this first detection, research has indicated that people contracting the virus may suffer neurological and mental disorders and deficits, in addition to the respiratory and other organ challenges caused by COVID-19. Specifically, early evidence suggests that COVID-19 has both mild (e.g., loss of smell (anosmia), loss of taste (ageusia), latent blinks (heterophila), headaches, dizziness, confusion) and more severe outcomes (e.g., cognitive impairments, seizures, delirium, psychosis, strokes). Longer-term neurological challenges or damage may also occur. This knowledge should inform clinical guidelines, assessment, and public health planning while more systematic research using biological, clinical, and longitudinal methods provides further insights.

Although much work has been conducted to quantify the long-term physiological effects of psychological stress, measures of short-term, low-level stress have been more elusive. This study assessed the effect of exposure of volunteers to a mild, brief, psychologically stressful event, on the functional ability of leukocytes in whole blood to respond to phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) in vitro. Volunteers operated a car electric window and adjusted it to 4 pre-determined positions. Between each operation the mechanism’s polarity was covertly altered (group B) or remained unaltered (group A). For each treatment group 10 different subjects provided capillary blood samples pre- and post-stressor. Using a chemiluminescent technique termed leukocyte coping capacity, the ability of leukocytes to produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in vitro was assessed. ROS release differed significantly at 10 min post-stressor between treatment groups, suggesting exposure to acute psychological stress leads to a reduced ability to respond to bacterial challenge.

The study looked at the application of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems in the landuse pattern in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo state; this is with the aim of classifying the area into the four basic classes observed in the study area. Landsat8 imagery with 30m by 30m resolution within path 191 and row 55 was downloaded, administrative boundary of the local government was used to clip the image using ArcGIS software and bands’ combination was done. Bands 7, 5 and 4 were combined to produce the composite image that gives natural colours for easy identification of features using supervised classification method. The study area was categorized into built up, vegetation, bare ground and water body. During the course of the study, it was gathered that the area has 56.84% vegetation, 39.61% built up, 3.32% bare ground and 0.23% water body. Confusion matrix was adopted for accuracy assessment. At the end, it was shown that the study had an overall classification accuracy of 83.67% and the Kappa Index is substantial at 0.77. Therefore, it was concluded that supervised image classification method is suitable for landuse classification and the results obtained are reliable.

Nowadays, multiclassifier systems (MCSs) are being widely applied in various machine learning problems and in many different domains. Over the last two decades, a variety of ensemble systems have been developed, but there is still room for improvement. This paper focuses on developing competence and interclass cross-competence measures which can be applied as a method for classifiers combination. The cross-competence measure allows an ensemble to harness pieces of information obtained from incompetent classifiers instead of removing them from the ensemble. The cross-competence measure originally determined on the basis of a validation set (static mode) can be further easily updated using additional feedback information on correct/incorrect classification during the recognition process (dynamic mode). The analysis of computational and storage complexity of the proposed method is presented. The performance of the MCS with the proposed cross-competence function was experimentally compared against five reference MCSs and one reference MCS for static and dynamic modes, respectively. Results for the static mode show that the proposed technique is comparable with the reference methods in terms of classification accuracy. For the dynamic mode, the system developed achieves the highest classification accuracy, demonstrating the potential of the MCS for practical applications when feedback information is available.

Opis:
Land cover mapping of marshland areas from satellite images data is not a simple process, due to the similarity of the spectral characteristics of the land cover. This leads to challenges being encountered with some land covers classes, especially in wetlands classes. In this study, satellite images from the Sentinel 2B by ESA (European Space Agency) were used to classify the land cover of Al Hawizeh marsh/Iraq Iran border. Three classification methods were used aimed at comparing their accuracy, using multispectral satellite images with a spatial resolution of 10 m. The classification process was performed using three different algorithms, namely: Maximum Likelihood Classification (MLC), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The classification algorithms were carried out using ENVI 5.1 software to detect six land cover classes: deep water marsh, shallow water marsh, marsh vegetation (aquatic vegetation), urban area (built up area), agriculture area, and barren soil. The results showed that the MLC method applied to Sentinel 2B images provides a higher overall accuracy and the kappa coefficient compared to the ANN and SVM methods. Overall accuracy values for MLC, ANN, and SVM methods were 85.32%, 70.64%, and 77.01% respectively.

Opis:
A color image compression-encryption algorithm by combining quaternion discrete multi-fractional random transform with compressive sensing is investigated, in which the chaos-based fractional orders greatly improve key sensitivity. The original color image is compressed and encrypted with the assistance of compressive sensing, in which the partial Hadamard matrix adopted as a measurement matrix is constructed by iterating Chebyshev map instead of utilizing the entire Guassian matrix as a key. The sparse images are divided into 12 sub-images and then represented as three quaternion signals, which are modulated by the quaternion discrete multi-fractional random transform. The image blocking and the quaternion representation make the proposed cryptosystem avoid additional data extension existing in many transform-based methods. To further improve the level of security, the plaintext-related key streams generated by the 2D logistic-sine-coupling map are adopted to diffuse and confuse the intermediate results simultaneously. Consequently, the final ciphertext image is attained. Simulation results reveal that the proposed cryptosystem is feasible with high security and has strong robustness against various attacks.

Mould that develops on moistened building barriers is a major cause of the Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). Fungi emit Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) that can be detected in the indoor air using several techniques of detection e.g. chromatography but also using gas sensors arrays. All array sensors generate particular electric signals that ought to be analysed using properly selected statistical methods of interpretation. This work is focused on the attempt to apply unsupervised and supervised statistical classifying models in the evaluation of signals from gas sensors matrix to analyse the air sampled from the headspace of various types of the building materials at the different level of contamination but also clean reference materials.
Grzyb rozwijający się na ścianach budynków jest głównym powodem zjawiska, które nazwano Syndromem Chorego Budynku. Wolne związki organiczne emitowane przez grzyby mogą być wykryte różnymi metodami, m.in. na podstawie chromatografii, ale także za pomocą matryc czujników gazowych. Wszystkie tego typu narzędzia generują sygnały elektryczne, które można analizować za pomocą odpowiednich technik statystycznych. Praca skupia się na zastosowaniu nadzorowanych i nienadzorowanych technik uczenia maszynowego w ocenie sygnału pochodzącego z elektronicznego nosa.

In this paper we present a GPU-based effect of an artificial depth of field, which varies with the distance from camera of the point that the user is looking at. Depth of field greatly enhances the scene's realism. The goal of our technique is the 3D approach with the user interaction that relies on the simulation of gaze point. Most of the computations are efficiently performed on the GPU with the use of vertex and pixel shaders.
W artykule zaprezentowano sprzętową implementację efektu głębi widzenia. Opracowane podejście zoptymalizowano wykorzystując informację o punkcie skupienia wzroku użytkownika. W artykule główną uwagę skoncentrowano na efekcie zachowania ostrości wyłącznie dla tego fragmentu sceny, na którym w danym momencie skupiony jest wzrok obserwatora. Działanie algorytmu zaprojektowano pod kątem implementacji sprzętowej z wykorzystaniem programowalnych jednostek cieniowania wierzchołków oraz fragmentów. Do synchronizacji shaderów (programów uruchamanych na karcie) oraz transferu danych pomiędzy pamięcią główną a GPU wykorzystano procesor CPU, a wszystkie dane przechowano w postaci 32-bitowych tekstur. W implementacji, moduły algorytmu wykonujące operacje macierzowe korzystały z obiektu bufora ramki umożliwiającego generowanie wyniku do tekstury zamiast do standardowego bufora okna. W celu prezentacji efektu głębi widzenia stworzono aplikację umożliwiającą przetestowanie wydajności algorytmu wykorzystującego informację o punkcie skupienia wzroku uzyskując wzrost wydajności nawet do 40% w porównaniu z podejściem bez optymalizacji [2]. W rozdziale 2 artykułu zaprezentowano przegląd istniejących algorytmów symulujących efekt głębi widzenia. Prezentowane podejście oraz jego implementację sprzętową przedstawiono w rozdziale 3. Rezultaty działania metody zaprezentowano w rozdziale 4 a podsumowanie w rozdziale 5.

Opis:
In the article, we ask about the reasons and sources of the religious-social revival, that appeared on the Brazilian back-lands (sertões) at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in the form of numerous millenarian and messianic movements and communities. There were different responses given on the questions of the reasons of phenomenon. In the first para-graph, we follow their evolution. In the next we consider that question from the perspective of the encounter of European culture with the cultures of the New World, understood as the process of the mutual interpenetration and the creation of a new religious mentality. In the final remarks, we make an attempt to determine the nature and extent of the relations in which the contents coming from different sources were constituting the religious and mental groundwork of the phenom-enon discussed.
En el artículo preguntamos sobre las causas y fuentes del renacimiento religioso-social que tuvo lugar en los sertões bra-sileños en el cambio de los siglos XIX y XX, en forma de los numerosos movimientos y comunidades milenaristas y me-siánicas. Sobre la cuestión de las razones de este fenómeno se dieron diferentes respuestas. En el primer párrafo seguimos la evolución de las mismas. En la próxima consideramos esta cuestión en la perspectiva del encuentro de la cultura eu-ropea con las culturas del Nuevo Mundo, entendido como el proceso de la interpenetración mutua y la creación de una nueva mentalidad religiosa. En las observaciones finales tratamos de determinar la naturaleza y extensión de las relaciones entre los contenidos provenientes de las diferentes fuentes, constituidos el fundamento religioso y mental de los fenómenos discutidos.
