Opis:
Not only as a result of the current energy crisis, opportunities to save energy are a highly focused topic in production. For this reason, the article proposes an approach to evaluate the part-specific energy consumption of production systems by utilization of simulation methods. As an application example, a Comau 6-axis robot is chosen, of which a physically based model is created in the CAE software SimulationX. This model is then exported as a Functional Mock-Up Unit (FMU) and co-simulated within a virtual commissioning environment. Virtual commissioning enables a controller to be connected to a model. Within a Software-in-the-Loop simulation, this is a virtual control system. Based on the movement specifications from the virtual controller, the movement behaviour of the machine can be simulated in the virtual commissioning tool ISG-virtuos and the FMU returns the associated power and energy curve as a result variable. For further use, this kind of enhanced simulation models provides the possibility to optimize the utilization of production systems for specific processes in the context of a complete production line or factory.

Opis:
The quality of the controller parameterization of a drive system has direct influence on the obtained performance. Nevertheless, the commissioning is mainly done today by the application of basic tuning rules or not comprehensible automatisms. This often leads to not optimal performance. An alternative approach is to parameterize the typical controller cascade, which is widely used in standard industrial controllers, in one step by using the so-called “simulation-based optimization” (SBO). Significant advantages are the opportunity of defining specific restrictions concerning the desired controller parameterization and the possibility for directly processing non-linear systems without approximations. Furthermore, friction, additional filters in the cascade or controller structure extensions like the Advanced Position Control (APC) can be considered. Therefore, in the present paper, the application and the results of the SBO for different drive systems will be presented. After an introduction, the paper describes the basic principles of the simulation based optimization including the application for controller parameterization. Subsequently, the results for indirect velocity control of a test rig are discussed. After that, the findings for the commissioning of a direct position controller of an industrial servo press are presented. The paper closes with a summary and an outlook.

In the external target experiment for heavy ion collisions in the HIRFL-CSR, Multi-Wire Drift Chambers are used to measure the drift time of charged particles to obtain the track information. This 128-channel high precision time measurement module is designed to perform the time digitization. The data transfer is based on a PXI interface to guarantee a high data rate. Test results show that a 100 ps resolution with a data transfer rate up to 40 MBps has been achieved; this module has also been proven to function well with the detector through a commissioning test.

Opis:
Designing of the conveyors and its control system with control program through the design tool “Virtual Commissioning” is very important in the digital era Industry 4.0. Virtual Commissioning was recently used to perform realistic virtual simulations in the early stages of development processes in automation of the conveyors too. The main benefit is the possibility of integrating and testing the control system through the simulation on the virtual model even before physically constructing the conveyor. The contribution focuses on the possibilities of transforming a real conveyor into a virtual model in the Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate program and integrating the Siemens S7-300 real control system to control the conveyor itself. In the model it was allowed to test and perform numerous variations and situations without physical intervention into the real conveyor and possible damage functional parts including through virtual reality. These experiments were subsequently evaluated and the control system optimized with respect to material flow and the developed PLC code on virtual model was verified on real conveyor control system.
