This article is a reflection of the research focuses on the period after the Czechoslovak Republic in 1918 to the time before World War II in 1939. The aim of the research is to explore the basic approaches to the implementation of education for statehood in terms of the creation of a new state in relation to civil defence education in Czechoslovakia. The comparative historical analysis will be utilized as the research method on the subject of education for statehood. The comparative historical analysis is used as a specific tool for qualitative research. This is a procedure which can be applied to the statehood issue of education to its basic elements, by which it will be possible to learn more about this phenomenon and subsequently explain it.

Civil defence education in Czechoslovakia was one of the elements of education and the creation of conditions for every citizen to be physically and mentally capable and willing to fulfil his or her duties related to homeland defence. The aim of the paper is to examine the basic approaches to the implementation of military defence training as one of the basic elements of civil defence education in Czechoslovakia in the period from 1918 to 1989. The historical-comparative analysis is used as a method for researching military defence training issues. This method is treated as a qualitative research tool. The individual elements that military defence training included, such as exercising in nature, field orientation practice, and marching exercises are characterized. In military defence training in Czechoslovakia, emphasis was simultaneously placed on enabling children to be in touch with nature, to toughen them up and to train their observation skills. The training was an organizational form of school civil defence education. Its main aim was to train and prepare individuals, as well as schools as wholes, for emergencies.

Much has been written about how the world has changed and continues to change at an incredibly rapid pace. Much has also been written about globalization, population demands, water quality, waste management, and maw more oldie issues that confront human kind throughout the world. It is not the authors' purpose in this paper to repeal the familiar maxim: civil engineering education must change to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Instead, the authors clarify the very real risks of the vectors ofpsychological inertia, and describe how systems analysis and the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) justify substantive change in civil engineering education and how that could be accomplished.

The presented article aims to show the role of the subject ‘education for safety’ in the field of civil protection. This subject almost a decade ago replaced the previous one called “civil defence preparation’. Along with the changing conditions of Poland’s security, it became necessary to depart from strictly pro-defence education, emphasizing the military area of security in favor of issues related to protection against threats, preparation for disaster management, or fi rst aid. The question that the author tries to answer is: to what extent does the subject currently taught involve problems related to civil protection? At the same time, the author assumes the hypothesis that issues in the fi eld of rescue and civil protection form the foundation of education for safety. Contemporary youth acquire knowledge and attitudes that make their actions complement the activities of civil protection entities, both in terms of prevention and response.

The purpose of this article is to highlight the essence and content of teaching this subject, which was introduced in Polish schools on 1 September 2009. To achieve this goal, the importance of education and, specifically, security education is discussed. The essence of security education is then presented, and it replacing the currently implemented defense adaptation is explained. Subsequently, the educational content of security education was discussed. The aim of the study was based on theoretical research methods such as analysis, synthesis, comparison, and inference.The conclusion encourages further reflection on this subject because education is an important area for ensuring security; hence, education in security from pre-school education to adult education can be found in Polish education. The tendency toward change testifies to broader cognitive perspectives, especially in the area of personnel and structural security of individuals and social groups. It also testifies to the understanding of the essence and importance of education itself.

The main aim of the article is to present selected international education programmes implemented in Poland (International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, International General Certificate of Secondary Education) in the context of educational change. The background of the analyses is the metamorphoses in the Polish education system after the period of political transformation. Literature in the field of education policy, theory of educational systems, normative documents of educational law, European Union directives and programme documents of international organizations conducting and accrediting IB, AP, and IGCSE programmes were used for the research. The author argues that the educational change that took place after 1989 in the organization and structure of the education system made it possible to implement international education programmes and contributed to the democratization and socialization of the Polish education system. Currently, international education programmes constitute an attractive educational offer that provides a chance for continuing education at renowned foreign universities, makes it possible to efficiently find oneself on the global labour market, and also prepares young people to be active members of civil society, guided by such values of political and social life as respect for human rights, democracy, solidarity, freedom of speech, and tolerance.

Art. 48 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation guarantees everyone the right to qualified legal assistance. The question of the means and methods it should be provided with has been debated between lawyers for a long time. A number of scientists talk about the need for legislative consolidation of the ‘advocate monopoly’. Others consider it appropriate to license the legal services market. These disputes remain relevant today. However, in 2019, Russia has undergone a reform of procedural law, which lawyers have called a ‘process revolution.’ Many rules of procedural codes have undergone major changes. In particular, as a result of the reform, the requirements for persons who may act as representatives in civil matters have been substantially changed. In the framework of this article, an attempt is made to analyse the reform of the institution of representation. Based on a systematic analysis of procedural legislation and law enforcement practice, the author comes to the conclusion that legislative consolidation of the need for higher legal education for representatives can be called one of the positive aspects of the reform. This article provides an analysis of the development trends of the institution of representation in the historical aspect. The author concludes that it is maintaining logical and consistent movement along the path of becoming an‘advocate monopoly’ in Russia. It seems that subject to its competent and phased introduction, as well as the reform of the corps of the bar itself, not only by increasing its number but above all by increasing the professionalism of its members, it can and should become an effective tool in the civil process.

At the beginning of the 21st century this trend started to decline. In accordance with the estimates such a state of affairs can continue until 2025. The report presents all the current challenges which the Bulgarian military-educational system is facing in the context of the basic features of the security environment and trends for the first half of the 21th century by identifying the main problem areas in its functioning. The status and capabilities of the military-educational system of the Republic of Bulgaria are discussed on the basis of an analysis of key strategic documents in the sectors of education, security and defence, as well as the current state of military and civil education and the inherent activities of the training institutions. Outlined are the basic principles of construction and operation of military-educational systems and the fundamental strategic goals and tasks according to modern strategic security environment and dynamically changing conditions in NATO and the EU. Described are the main elements of the military-educational system as a complex, adaptive and flexible system that develops in unity and complementarity with the system of civil education in Bulgaria. Guidelines are formulated for improving the military educational system in relation to its contribution to strengthening national security and defence of the country in three directions – conceptual, organizational and technological improvement.
Raport przedstawia wszystkie aktualne wyzwania stojące przed bułgarskim systemem szkolnictwa wojskowego w kontekście podstawowych cech środowiska bezpieczeństwa i trendów pierwszej połowy XXI wieku poprzez identyfikację głównych obszarów problemowych w jego funkcjonowaniu. Status i możliwości systemu szkolnictwa wojskowego w Republice Bułgarii są omówione w oparciu o kluczowe dokumenty strategiczne w sektorach edukacji, bezpieczeństwa i obrony oraz obecny stan edukacji wojskowej i cywilnej oraz nieodłączne działania instytucji szkoleniowych. Przedstawiono podstawowe zasady konstruowania i działania systemów edukacji wojskowej oraz fundamentalne cele strategiczne i zadania w korelacji ze współczesnym środowiskiem bezpieczeństwa strategicznego i dynamicznie zmieniającymi się warunkami w NATO i UE. Główne elementy systemu edukacji wojskowej zostały opisane jako złożony, zdolny do adaptacji, elastyczny system rozwijający się zgodnie i komplementarnie z cywilnym systemem edukacji w Bułgarii. Sformułowano wytyczne dotyczące ulepszenia systemu szkolnictwa wojskowego w Bułgarii w odniesieniu do jego wkładu we wzmocnienie bezpieczeństwa narodowego oraz obronności w trzech kierunkach – rozwoju konceptualnego, organizacyjnego i technologicznego.

Separating Roman law from the theory of applicable private law inspires - from the beginning of 20th century – the questions pertaining to the meaning, aims, and methods of researching Roman law. This article analyses these issues in the context of the changes of the evaluation of research resulted from the Polish higher education and science act enacted in 2018. The core of this analysis is the comparison of the traditional understanding of the internationalization of the study of Roman law by Polish researchers and the understanding of world-class research according to the new Polish law. The tension between traditional approach of Romanists and bibliometric criteria of evaluation has significant implication for whether and how the Roman law should be studied and taught on the Polish faculties of law. The paper stresses the role of the impact of Polish researches of Roman law on the European debate about basic problems of private law and legal method today. The future of Roman law in Polish legal education interacts with today’s fundamental dispute about what is Western civilization and how it is to be understood.

The present study precisely conveys the methodology of developing a three-dimensional (3D) architectural model of a villa with its walk-through and displaying the model in virtual reality, which as a result, be used by the clients to spectate, customize and buy the real estate property. Additionally, the case study highlights the advancement in architecture, as certain specifications of each element of a 3D model can be viewed in a virtual environment. Virtual reality is a transpiring platform, and in addition to that, the real-estate sector shows its incorporation in designing, marketing, and selling projects. The teaching and learning process can be eased out by intervening it with technology that generates an enhanced visualization environment. These technologies, when used constructively, save time and energy and also hoard economic standards ensuing lucrative benefits.

This article discusses the modern concept of civic education and its history, which dates back to ancient times. Civic education is perceived as the process of educating individuals about their rights and responsibilities as members of a society and preparing them to participate in the democratic process. One of the key objectives of civic education is to promote active citizenship and engagement in the democratic process. The article highlights the interdisciplinary nature of civic education and its connection to a well-constructed educational system, as well as detects the biggest challenges for the process. The purpose of the article is to introduce the importance and development of civic education and to analyze its state in Poland, noting the changes that have taken place over the course of the 21st century. To accomplish this objective, the author decided to compare various reports on both the state of democracy and education in Poland. Furthermore, the author sought to underscore the significance of the individuals responsible for educating society, as well as the methodologies employed in civic education, which significantly influence the formal civic education of young individuals. Such ideas were also presented in the recommendations.
W artykule omówiono współczesną koncepcję edukacji obywatelskiej oraz jej historię, która sięga czasów starożytnych. Edukacja obywatelska jest postrzegana jako proces kształcenia jednostek na temat ich praw i obowiązków jako członków społeczeństwa oraz przygotowania ich do uczestnictwa w procesie demokratycznym. Jednym z kluczowych celów edukacji obywatelskiej jest promowanie aktywności obywatelskiej i zaangażowania w proces demokratyczny. W artykule podkreślono interdyscyplinarność edukacji obywatelskiej i jej związek z dobrze skonstruowanym systemem edukacyjnym, a także wskazano najważniejsze zagrożenia dla tego procesu wynikające z procesów dezinformacyjnych. Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie znaczenia i rozwoju edukacji obywatelskiej oraz analiza jej stanu w Polsce, z zaznaczeniem zmian, jakie zaszły na przestrzeni XXI wieku. W tym celu autorka postanowiła porównać różne raporty dotyczące zarówno stanu demokracji, jak i edukacji w Polsce. Ponadto autorka chciała podkreślić znaczenie tego, kto i jak edukuje społeczeństwo oraz jak dużą rolę odgrywa edukacja obywatelska w formalnym wychowaniu obywatelskim młodzieży. Takie idee zostały również przedstawione w rekomendacjach.

The text invites the reader to reflect upon civil activity taken in unexpected places and forms, and going beyond its conventional notions. The first thesis put forward is that members of isolated homogeneous communities (young people in particular) rather than evading civil activity practise civil idleness, much in line with what society expects of them. From this stems our next thesis, which prompts to seek civil activity somewhere else.
Artykuł zaprasza do refleksji nad nieoczywistą aktywnością obywatelską podejmowaną w nieoczekiwanych miejscach i formach. Pierwsza analizowana teza głosi, że członkowie izolowanych homogenicznych społeczności (w szczególności młodzież) nie tyle unikają obywatelskiej aktywności, co praktykują obywatelską bezczynność, zgodnie ze społecznymi oczekiwaniami. Z tego wynika nasza kolejna teza, zgodnie z którą aktywności obywatelskiej należy szukać gdzieś indziej (somewhere else).
