Nationalization and the introduction of state-controlled economy led to the emergence of abnormal social phenomena, including system-specific crimes. Economic transformations were the foundation of the systemic revolution carried out in the first decade after the Second World War, therefore they were the subject of interest for the Ministry of Public Security. That is why financial crimes were treated just like political crimes, which was also justified by legal provisions, as no specific definition of this type of crime existed. This allowed the authorities (secret police, prosecutor’s office, courts, media) to interpret the events according to their will and current political needs, and, as a result, to administer various overt or covert repressions (death penalty, imprisonment, forced cooperation with the secret police).

Security as a social category is realised intuitively (subjectively) and is not always subject to unambiguous (objective) assessments. The perception of various formations tasked with ensuring public security and order gives rise to extreme assessments, sparking numerous discussions on how to judge their functioning. In today’s world, it is hardly surprising that various services (including private services) operate in cities, ensuring the security of the residents. The aim of the article is to analyse the basic components which shape the social image of people and property security services in the public consciousness of the inhabitants of Słupsk – a medium-sized city in Poland . This has been researched on the basis of empirical surveys (questionnaires) diagnosing the assessment of the work and activities of security personnel. The research problem is the following question: What is the image of people and property security services in the system of security and public order, as perceived by the residents of Słupsk, a medium-sized Polish city? The quantitative research conducted for the purpose of this paper was carried out in the form of a diagnostic survey, and the technique applied were questionnaires.

The relevance of this research topic is due, on the one hand, the importance of studying the mechanisms of protection of consumers of financial services in martial law, and on the other – the presence of theoretical and practical legal issues related to state control in this area. According to its legal content, martial law is a special legal regime that can be imposed under certain conditions throughout Ukraine or in some of its territories. The basis for the imposition of martial law may be armed aggression or the threat of attack, as well as the threat to state independence of Ukraine and the territorial integrity of the country. In order to avert threats to national security, the relevant authorities, military administrations, military command and local self-government bodies are given the necessary powers during martial law. The purpose of the research is to conduct a comprehensive scientific analysis of theoretical, practical and regulatory issues of protection of consumers of financial services in martial law and develop proposals to improve existing legislation to harmonize national legislation with European Union law. The author notes that based on the analysis of emergency regulations of the National Bank of Ukraine aimed at protecting the rights of consumers of financial services in martial law, a number of conclusions can be drawn. Provisions on the protection of consumers of financial services in martial law should protect the interests of consumers by encouraging the provision of quality services and fair competition. Withdrawal from the market of those participants whose services are directly related to the financial institutions of the aggressor state, low quality and based on fraud and abuse, or those who seek to maximize profits in the short term to the detriment of long-term value to customers and shareholders in fact, one of the main purposes of such regulation.

The analysis of the language of the security service employees in the Polish People’s Republic and the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, made on the basis of the CHS “Bolek” and the CHS “Sabina” files, showed that there is a certain feature that appears extremely often in the examined files, even though its occurrence in administrative and legal texts should be pretty sporadic. It is a very high frequency of using forms that express the veracity reserve. This shows how much the authors of the notes wanted to emphasise their own reserve to the truthfulness of the content provided by the confidential human sources (CHS).
Analiza języka służb bezpieczeństwa Polskiej Republiki Ludowej i Ludowej Republiki Bułgarii przeprowadzona na podstawie tzw. teczek TW Bolek i TW Sabina wykazała, że istnieje pewna cecha, która pojawia się w obydwu dokumentach niezwykle często, mimo że w tekstach administracyjnych i prawnych jej występowanie powinno być sporadyczne. Tą cechą jest duża częstotliwość występowania form wyrażających rezerwę prawdziwościową. Pokazuje to, jak bardzo autorzy notatek chcieli podkreślić swoją rezerwę co do prawdziwości treści przekazywanych przez poufne źródła osobowe.

ICT systems commonly used in communication and web services may be successfully attacked, which may result in unauthorized access to data or taking control of the attacked system. One of the sources of the problem is faulty software, and the faults arise from programming errors or incorrect configuration of applications used. There are a number of threats to secure provision of web services. Already known methods of counteracting undesired phenomena do not offer permanent solutions; however, there are ways allowing for increasing our security on the Internet. This paper is aimed at presentation of significant threats to the security of web services and of possible improvements to be made in this area, which is important when e-services are ever more popular and when we are facing more and more successful attacks on IT systems.

Possibilities for the use of biometric data are growing and hence their practical application is also increasing. Therefore, an important element to be considered in the design, construction and exploitation of systems using biometrics is the question of identifying a specific person and assigning him or her to the relevant data contained in the documents or databases. The ability and, in some cases, the need to use biometric data results from the growing use of information technology in everyday life and the ever increasing attempts to steal the identity of those using these technologies. Modern IT systems often have a high level of security in terms of protection and access to data, and in particular the management of security systems. The article presents an outline of the theory related to the possibility of using and applying biometric data to provide security and have the ability to inspect officers of various departments. The subject of analysis also considered the possibility of using security measures in the form of biometric data identification for the purpose of securing the security services.

Ensuring the safety of participants in religious assemblies in the XXI century has become a responsibility of government institutions, self-government institutions and recently also in social organizations. Today conceptions of security have consequently become increasingly sub-national, regional, urban in scale [1]. The duty is to maintain order in the organization of religious assemblies outside the temples, which in recent years have gained in importance by increasing their interest in a large group of people. Organizational responsibilities include security during the procession, pilgrimage to worship places, mass gatherings of other religious ceremonies. The aim of the article is to present legal regulations on the safety issues of religious participants and legal regulations for the organization of church celebrations in this mass.

In the modern world, conditions in various spheres of human security are changing at a very fast pace. How non-traditional events are interpreted and the kind of approach to all kinds of transformations may be conducive to a higher frequency of beneficial effects of these changes. The appropriate nature and level of security culture can contribute to perpetuating beneficial trends in solving specific problems, to dealing more effectively with difficult situations, treated as challenges, which can often result in opportunities, and not only as threats. The responsibility of officers of various services, not only for themselves, but also for their subordinates, as well as for decisive decisions resulting from legal conditions, has an even greater impact on the need for strong consolidation of individual judgements, verdicts or decisions. Relying on a personal security culture in various types of situations can more often have a positive impact on the functioning of the entity and their environment, provided that this security culture is of an acceptable character and high level. The author points out that a favourable culture of security for uniformed personnel and citizens will be conducive to a higher level of security.

Objectives: The aim of the research was to solve the research problem contained in the question: What is the genesis of shaping gender stereotypes and what is their impact on the perception of the professional role of women by men in the army as a formation carrying out tasks for national security? Methods: The methods adopted in the research process are, first of all, a meta-analysis of a wide range of source materials, including publications, scientific articles and information materials, as well as the results of the own questionnaire. The theoretical methods characteristic of the safety sciences, i.e. analysis, synthesis, comparison, inference and abstraction, were supplemented by participant observation. The use of this method was possible because the author cooperated with soldiers many times. Results: The results of the conducted research confirmed that gender stereotypes can significantly influence the perception of the professional role of women in the formations carrying out tasks for security. Women and men are characterized by a different approach to perceiving professional roles. Therefore, gender stereotypes can significantly affect the professional roles of women and men and the sense of occupational security. Conclusions: The most concrete effect of the arguments made is the emphasis on the fundamental importance of the transformation of stereotypes. Both historical experiences and the assessment of the contemporary professional safety environment in terms of stereotypical perception are in line with the needs of ensuring the occupational safety of women and men in formations carrying out tasks for national security.

The study was created thanks to the author’s preferences to learn increasingly more about new technologies that are able to increase the potential of internal security of the state. Recently, interest in recording areas (difficult to access, dangerous, monitored in adverse weather conditions, monitored due to the implementation of tasks by relevant services), the development of methods enabling the transmission of various materials at a distance, and performing other complicated activities have increased. For this purpose, unmanned aerial vehicles (so-called drones, UAVs) that are versatile in many respects are used. The author noticed the need to disseminate such innovative devices on native soil, especially for using them in multidirectional strengthening of the security sphere. Polish companies producing UAVs for many foreign customers have already marked their presence in this matter. The achievements of the designers are so impressive that it makes us appreciate the development of our technical thought, and above all, the use of drones to ensure security and public order in Poland. A series of training courses is already conducted by the Police Academy in Szczytno, which is a good solution both for teachers and, above all, for the trainees themselves. Such an initiative will undoubtedly translate into increased interest in drones, and especially the incredible usefulness of these devices for uniformed services and other entities.

All in all, the role of dogs in uniformed services is invaluable, as demonstrated, for instance, by the range of methods that can be used in each service. Moreover, their presence has a direct or indirect impact on increasing the security of the state (internal and external) – quod erat demonstrandum. In the present study, many references have been made to different normative acts (of various ranks), illustrating the use of dogs in the Police, the Prison Service, the Border Guard, and the Customs Service.It should also be stressed that a comprehensive study of the subject of official dogs, in the opinion of the author of the study, constitutes a terra incognita, as currently there is no study addressing the issue of the presence of official dogs in all uniformed services in a synthetic way (extensive historical-legal analysis).Therefore, this work should be treated as a unique introduction (prelude) to further, significantly expanded, and detailed research in such a material area.

Obecnie dokonuje się szybki postęp w zakresie zastosowań informatyki w analizach sytuacji ekonomiczno-finansowej przedsiębiorstw oraz w procesach wspomagania zarządzania organizacjami. W zakresie najszybciej rozwijających się dziedzin technologii teleinformatycznej, które warunkują kolejne etapy postępu w zakresie internetowej bankowości elektronicznej, należy upowszechnianie standardów przeprowadzania operacji finansowych realizowanych w tzw. chmurze jak również z zastosowaniem korzystania z dużych zbiorów danych ulokowanych w tzw. platformach Big Data. Obecne rozwiązania technologiczne Big Data to już nie tylko duże bazy danych, hurtownie danych pozwalające na wieloaspektowe analizy ogromnych zbiorów danych ilościowych dokonywanych na potrzeby raportów składanych okresowo kadrze menedżerskiej. Prowadzone w podmiotach gospodarczych procesy decyzyjne powinny być oparte na analizie wiarygodnych i aktualnych danych rynkowych i dotyczących prowadzonej działalności. Informacje niezbędne dla procesów podejmowania decyzji menedżerskich są w korporacjach na bieżąco pozyskiwane, gromadzone, porządkowane i przedstawiane w formie raportów analitycznych Business Intelligence. Analizy przeprowadzane w formule Business Intelligence dają kadrze zarządzającej nowe możliwości analizy dużych zbiorów danych w czasie rzeczywistym, co znacząco przyczynia się do podnoszenia efektywności zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Rapid progress is being made in the field of IT applications in the analysis of the economic and financial situation of enterprises and in the processes supporting management of organizations. In terms of the fastest growing areas of information and communication technology, which are the prerequisites for the progress of online electronic banking, it is necessary to disseminate the standards of financial operations have been carried out. The cloud as well as the use of large data sets in the so-called. Big Data platforms. The current Big Data technology solutions are not just large databases, data warehouses allow for multifaceted analysis of huge volumes of quantitative data for periodic managerial reporting. Business decision-making processes should be based on the analysis of reliable and up-to-date market and business data. The information necessary for the decision-making processes has been collected, stored, ordered and pre-summed up in the form of Business Intelligence analytics reports in corporations. Business Intelligence analyzes give managers the ability to analyze the large data sets in real time, which significantly contributes to improving business management efficiency. At present, business analytics use either the advanced analytical formulas of Ms Excel or computerized platforms that include ready-made Business Intelligence reporting formulas.
В настоящее время он добился значительного прогресса в области применения информационных технологий в анализе экономических и финансовых процессов компаний и поддержки управления организациями. С точки зрения наиболее быстро растущих областей ИТ-технологии, которые определяют этапы прогресса в области электронного банковского сайта, является распространение стандартов для финансирования операций в так называемых. облако, а также с использованием больших массивов данных, расположенных в так называемом. Opis:
The concept of security is presented ambiguously depending on the scientific discipline. From a sociological point of view, it means an objective state of no threat, integrally associated with subjective, emotional, psychological deprivation of space as safe, otherwise referred to as a sense of security. In turn, in legal terms, it means all conditions and social institutions protecting the state and citizens against phenomena dangerous to the legal order and to the life and health of citizens. From a psychological point of view, the need for security is one of the fundamental needs of both individual individuals and entire social groups. Its satisfaction provides a sense of confidence and a guarantee of lack or minimal risk threatening valuable values such as life, health, optimal living standards and material goods. Everyone, to fulfil their tasks assigned to the social role, must feel safe. This is particularly important in the case of people who, because of their profession, are supposed to protect security and other people, and such a professional group is the Prison Service. The paper presents the results of the research carried out using the Uchanst’s Sense of Security Questionnaire of the Confederation of National Defence among officers of the Prison Service who undergo vocational training at the Central Training Centre of the Prison Service in Kalisz. The research has shown a optimal level of general sense of security and factors which make up the sense of security syndrome, which is, the sense of closeness, stability and mutual trust.
