Opis:
A properly prepared and functioning road infrastructure is one of the most crucial elements of the country’s economic development. The growing number of vehicles and increased traf- fic on national roads, mainly related to transit transport, requires the continuous development of the road network, including first of all the implementation of top-class connections, such as the network of motorways and expressways. Good quality of main national road connections creates the possibility of faster and safer movement, both in passenger and freight transport. It also has a positive effect on the travel comfort, at the same time separating local and transit traffic in order to increase travel safety. The article presetnts, in the short description, that linear road in- vestments, apart from economic benefits, require effective and efficient management. Therefore, re- gardless of the construction of new roads or the modernization of existing international connections, the use of modern technologies is of significant importance for the comprehensive management of the national road network.

Social media is an important source of product information for many users. Marketing in social media is based not only on building a community around the brand, but social media is used as a way to reach a defi ned group of users with a marketing message. These users are shown content, including promoted posts, which is to draw their attention, interest and get them to action, i.e. click on the link and read the article promoting an event or product. In this article, we investigated how the diff erent headline wordings (question, traditional, forward referring) aff ect the desire to read the article. An experiment was conducted on 75 participants, which confi rmed that the header has a large eff ect size. The ANOVA analysis was carried out in two stages, additionally taking into account the importance and general interest in the subject of the article by users. Finally, the possible business implications, limitations, and directions for future research were identified.

Opis:
Modern Ukrainian school faces a serious task: to form in graduates information and communication skills that will allow them to quickly perceive and process big information flows presented in various sign systems, to teach the use of modern means, methods and technologies of working with information sources. The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union in 2006 selected eight core competencies for the lifelong learning. One of these competencies is called digital. The basic knowledge, skills and competencies associated with digital competence are defined as: confident, critical and responsible use and interaction with digital technologies for learning, work and participation in the community. This includes information literacy and data literacy, communication and collaboration, creation of digital content (including programming and mapping), security (including knowledge of digital well-being and cybersecurity) and the solution of various problems, including economic, social and personal. Purpose. The purpose of the study is the process of forming the subject competence of the student, consisting of the substantive component of geographical science–cartography. Material and methods. In the process of research, we have used a combination of general scientific, general and special methods, including various levels (descriptive method, comparative method, statistical analysis, etc.). Since the rapid growth of information systems requires orientation of modern education to use active learning technologies, we have also used cartographic methods that included digital, diverse sign systems and GPS technologies in our pedagogical research. Conclusions. It is impossible to convey knowledge about yet unknown phenomena of nature or to teach students to construct and use the non-existent technique, there is one way - to form a search style of thinking, to instill interest and taste in knowledge and research, to develop the opportunity to see and appreciate the aesthetic side of evidence, to teach the general laws of the future activities, to equip methods of mastering and synthesizing new knowledge in any subject area, to create a broad communication outlook of a contemporary student. Work with cartographic materials at geography lessons has been highlighted in methodological recommendations by a number of scientists. Our task is to update this information.

Opis:
This work aims to improve the total power dissipation, leakage currents and stability without disturbing the logic state of SRAM cell with concept called sub-threshold operation. Though, sub-threshold SRAM proves to be advantageous but fails with basic 6T SRAM cell during readability and writability. In this paper we have investigated a non-volatile 6T2M (6 Transistors & 2 Memristors) sub-threshold SRAM cell working at lower supply voltage of VDD=0.3V, where Memristor is used to store the information even at power failures and restores previous data with successful read and write operation overcomes the challenge faced. This paper also proposes a new configuration of non-volatile 6T2M (6 Transistors & 2 Memristors) subthreshold SRAM cell resulting in improved behaviour in terms of power, stability and leakage current where read and write power has improved by 40% and 90% respectively when compared to 6T2M (conventional) SRAM cell. The proposed 6T2M SRAM cell offers good stability of RSNM=65mV and WSNM=93mV which is much improved at low voltage when compared to conventional basic 6T SRAM cell, and improved leakage current of 4.92nA is achieved as compared.

Opis:
John Read and James Partington were both prominent and highly respected academics, chemists, authors and teachers during the middle decades of the 20th century. Their books were widely read throughout this period and played a major role in educating and raising the awareness of chemistry among young people and adults. Today their names are forgotten. The aim of the present article is to re-establish these two remarkable men and to bring them to the forefront of educational programs. An outline is given of their careers as chemists, set against the background of the times they lived in, giving an emphasis to their formidable literary output. Although they had widely contrasting personalities, and were specialists in three different fields of chemistry, Read: organic, Partington: physical and inorganic, they both recognized the great importance of setting chemistry in an historical context. Accordingly, they both wrote many works on the origins and development of chemistry and included much historical material in their textbooks. This added not only a great interest to the subject, but also set it in a broader cultural context, which is so clearly lacking in today’s chemistry teaching programs. A chronological list of their books is given and short contrasting fragments from four of them are analysed. Not only are these books of great interest, but they serve as an outstanding foundation for teaching the principles of chemistry today. A recommendation is made to incorporate one work of each author as compulsory reading material for students today, and in future years.
W połowie dwudziestego wieku John Read i James Partington byli wysoko cenionymi naukowcami w dziedzinie chemii, autorami i nauczycielami. Ich książki były czytane w szerokich kręgach i odgrywały ważną rolę w edukacji i w rozszerzaniu świadomości chemii wśród młodzieży i dorosłych. Read i Partington posiadali zupełnie odmienne osobowości i specjalizowali się w trzech dziedzinach chemii, a mianowicie Read: w organicznej, Partington: w fizycznej i nieorganicznej. Materiały te w dużym stopniu wzbogacały i uprzyjemniały nauczanie chemii.
