    Article presents the influence of battery capacity and electric generator power on a series hybrid vehicle range. Vehicles equipped with increased battery capacity and small power generator are special type of series hybrid vehicles called Extended Range Electric Vehicles – E-REV. The increasing number of hybrid and electric vehicles increases the demand for durable and efficient sources of energy storage for vehicles. The hybrid vehicle's battery driven range is increased as battery power density is increased and its cost is decreased. This is due to the battery cell cost decreasing and improvement of cell chemistry. That cause higher and higher distance driven on electric mode in hybrid vehicles. First series hybrid vehicle engine power was equal to engine powered the vehicle’s wheels. Nowadays, series hybrid vehicles are more electric vehicles with small power generator (piston or turbine engine. In such a constructions, battery is used as an energy buffer and combustion engine is used more as emergency power supply. To minimize this phenomenon, manufacturers use counteracting solutions that include mounting additional cells in the battery that are switched on when the battery controller identifies a particular battery cell’s failure or high degradation. This is due to the deep and shallow discharges of the battery, the numbers of charging and discharging cycles, and the age and technology of battery packs. AMESim software was used for the simulation of the E-REV hybrid vehicle range. The research was based on modelling the range of the vehicle with different battery capacity works with power generator of different power. By modelling different capacity of battery and power of small generator, it is possible to determine the vehicle range.

    Rev. PA Edmund Nowicki PhD, a priest of the Archdiocese of Gniezno i Poznań, was strongly associated with Gorzów Wielkopolski through his priestly ministry and with Gdańsk through his episcopal ministry. The work in the apostolic administration in Gorzów Wielkopolski was particularly difficult for him. The enormous area – 1/7 of Poland’s area, the lack of basic religious ministry tools and the difficulties arising from the then authorities posed extremely big problems in creating the pastoral life in the newly created church unit in these lands. More than five years of his work in Western Pomerania and the Lubusz region brought great achievements in the form of a very well-functioning church organization,only permanent church structures were lacking, but   nfortunately political factors did not lead to their implementation. This success is the fruit of his fortitude, solid theological and legal background and personal sensitivity. Rev. PA Dr Edmund Nowicki is a great Pole, priest and bishop.

    Opis:
    Artefacts made of and from untypical materials with the use of sophisticated techniques preserved in museums constitute an exceptional challenge to museum curators. Such is the case of two letters described in the paper, written on birch bark by someone signed as the female: Janka and Jaśka dispatched to her mother from the Soviet Polovinka Gulag in the Urals in 1946 and 1947. Currently, the artefacts are in the collection of the Museum of Rev. Józef Jarzębowski in Licheń Stary, while their history was explained only in the 2010s. In 2022, the letters underwent museum conservation, which allowed to find out what material they were written on and what technique was used for the execution, following which they were appropriately preserved so that they can last the longest possible minimizing their deterioration.

    The article is an attempt to show collecting achievements of Rev. Jan Wiśniewski (1876–1943), who after building an unusual, astonishingly vast and versatile collection of art and national memorabilia, donated it to the Diocesan Museum in Sandomierz. His collecting was rooted in the 19th century, in the spirit of growing patriotic awareness and interests in the history of one’s own country, resulted from the lack of independence. Apart from collecting, Rev. Wiśniewski conducted comprehensive research. As an amateur historian, he edited and published at his own cost 15 volumes of the Monografia dekanatów and Historyczne opisy kościołów. He started his collection in Radom, then continued accumulating items in Borkowice where he became a parish priest. It was there, in the parsonage, that he arranged the Museum of National Memorabilia. His exhibits were often displayed as loans outside his museum. As confirmed in written sources, Rev. Jan Wiśniewski had many contacts among collectors, antiquarians, art dealers and bibliophiles, some of them of great renown. His collection became a cornerstone of the Diocesan Museum in Sandomierz, which seems to be his intention from the start, as much as saving from demolition the historic elements of churches’ interiors. He was building his collection in order to make it public and pass on to the following generations.
    Przedmiotem artykułu jest próba ukazania kolekcjonerstwa ks. Jana Wiśniewskiego (1876–1943), który ofiarował do Muzeum Diecezjalnego w Sandomierzu niezwykłe zbiory o charakterze artystycznym oraz patriotyczno- narodowym, zadziwiające bogactwem i różnorodnością. Jego kolekcjonerstwo miało korzenie w XIX w., w atmosferze dojrzewania myśli patriotycznych oraz zainteresowania historią własnego kraju, które budziło się w okresie niewoli narodowej. Oprócz działalności kolekcjonerskiej ks. Wiśniewski prowadził szeroko zakrojone badania. Jako historyk amator, opracował i wydał własnym nakładem 15 tomów Monografii dekanatów i Historycznych opisów kościołów. Gromadził swoje zbiory początkowo w Radomiu, a następnie w Borkowicach, gdzie na plebanii kościoła, w którym został proboszczem, urządził Muzeum Pamiątek Narodowych. Zbiory wypożyczał na liczne wystawy. Materiały źródłowe informują o szerokich kontaktach ks. Jana Wiśniewskiego z kolekcjonerami, antykwariuszami, marszandami i bibliofilami, nie brak wśród nich postaci wybitnych. Kolekcja ks. Jana Wiśniewskiego legła u podstaw Muzeum Diecezjalnego w Sandomierzu, można więc stwierdzić, że muzeum to oprócz zachowania od zniszczenia zabytkowych elementów wnętrz kościołów, jest również muzeum intencyjnym. Powstało bazując na prywatnych zbiorach kolekcjonera, którego zamysłem od początku gromadzenia zbiorów było ich upowszechnienie i przekazanie następnym pokoleniom.

    The study presents the consequences of economy’s dependence on chemical industry products made from oil and gas. It is reported that the economy is becoming increasingly dependent on the specified products. Based on the NACE Rev2 classification, the author lists the possible implications for all sectors of the economy of the cutting-off of the supplies of chemical industry products made from oil and gas It is demonstrated that the major consequences of the shortage of such products will be borne by agriculture, health protection, transport, automotive industry and construction. The paper lists the oil and gas processing products which are strategic in terms of the economy. The absence of the products may create a global economic crisis and make human development regress by 250 years.
    W artykule przedstawiono konsekwencje uzależnienia gospodarki od produktów przemysłu chemicznego wytwarzanych z ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego. Stwierdzono, że gospodarka w coraz większym stopniu uzależnia się od tych produktów. Bazując na klasyfikacji NACE Rev2 określono konsekwencje, jakie mogą ponieść wszystkie działy gospodarki w związku z odcięciem ich od dostaw produktów przemysłu chemicznego wytwarzanych z ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego. Stwierdzono, że największe konsekwencje braku tych produktów poniesie rolnictwo, ochrona zdrowia, transport, przemysł samochodowy i budownictwo. Wskazano, jakie są strategiczne – z punktu widzenia gospodarki – produkty pochodzące z przetwórstwa ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego. Stwierdzono, że brak tych produktów może spowodować globalny kryzys gospodarczy i cofnąć rozwój ludzkości o 250 lat.

    This outline focuses on the multifarious academic, pedagogical and social activities of Fr Luigi Giussani, Professor of Theology, Italian thinker and scholar renowned for his numerous accomplishments. Due to his exceptional attentiveness, inquisitiveness and courage he has been certainly well-known and highly-regarded not only in university and ecclesiastical but also in the cultural and political spheres of life.The author of this study describes Fr Giussani as an exceptional scholar and educator emphasising the pedagogical aspect of his activities. The study explains his understanding of pedagogy and education. Selected achievements from his biography confirm Fr Giussani to be an exceptional human being, educator and scholar. As an educator, Fr Giussani holds a sober and realistic view of man and his formation: the true value of man, he claims, lies in being rational and free. Complete trust in God and great love for a human person define the most fundamental elements of his approach.The outline also includes a short biographical note and describes popular ways of education, formative events, the educators and educatee’s personality constituents, and the relationship between freedom, conscience, tradition and education.

    Comparative analysis of the Polish language poetry of several twentieth century Polish poets living in Great Britain. The article covers the poetry of Rev. Janusz A. Ihnatowicz, Jerzy S. Sito, and others. The thesis of the article is as follows: This group of Polish poets, who were to later group themselves informally around the literary magazines Kontynenty and Merkuriusz, are products of a Polish family and national background. However, arriving in Great Britain as war refugees at the beginning of the 1940s, they grew up in a British cultural environment. The literary influences that worked upon them were the same as those working on their ethnically British colleagues. As a result, the poetry of the “Continental” poets reveals them as British poets, composing in Polish. The “Continental” poets are thus an interesting example of “ethnic” literature in the British homeland, which was once homogeneous, but since the Second World War has become ever more a land of many peoples and tongues. The author of the article used a comparative method (comparing the authors in question among themselves, and to the authors who influenced them, such as T.S. Eliot and G. M. Hopkins) as well as a historical-critical method (setting them in the historical context of Great Britain and Poland). Main results: Since arriving in Great Britain as war refugees at the beginning of the 1940s, the poets in question grew up in a British cultural environment. The literary influences that worked upon them were the same as those working on their ethnically British colleagues. As a result, the poetry of the “Continental” poets reveals them as British poets, composing in Polish. The “Continental” poets are thus an interesting example of “ethnic” literature in the British homeland, which was once homogeneous, but since the Second World War has become ever more a land of many peoples and tongues. The results are limited to close readings of selected poems; therefore, the conclusions obtained by this essay may be broadened and deepened by further scholarly study, concentrating on a greater number of poets, different poets, different verses by the poets included. Practical implications of the article. The results of the analysis can be applied to practical didactics: i.e. the teaching of British literature, Polish literature, or literature in general; they also might lie in the area of supportive texts for psychological / sociological studies dealing with language acquisition and the cultural implications of site and maturing. Social implications of the article: Ancillary evidence to discuss the effect of several cultural influences on the same young people. The novelty of the article (new insights introduced by the article with regards to the current literature). To my knowledge, no work speaking of the Continental Group of poets focuses on them as products of Anglo society.

    In 2023, the Rev. Cardinal Franciszek Macharski Archdiocesan Music School in Krakow celebrates its 25th anniversary. The present article discusses the history of the institu[1]tion – the activities of the Archdiocesan Organist Study Centre, from which the jubilarian school originated, the circumstances of the creation of the Archdiocesan Organist School in 1998 and the expansion of its activities in 2006 to the Archdiocesan Primary and Sec[1]ondary School of Music. Through the analysis of documents from the school’s archives, the prospects for the development of students and the activities of teachers are presented. The enormous role in the history of the school played by three people is also outlined – Prof. Wiesław Delimat, the school’s founder and headmaster, Rev. Prof. Robert Tyrała, the current Rector of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, and above all Rev. Cardinal Franciszek Macharski, patron and good spirit of Archdiocesan Music School

    The Article Messages to the Seven Churches in “Johannes Offenbarung” by Johann Gottfried Herder refers to the publication in Polish Siedem bram. Komentarz do Apokalipsy 2–3 według “Johannes Offenbarung” Johanna Gottfrieda Herdera, in: Veritatem revelare. Księga Pamiątkowa dedykowana ks. dr. hab. S. Ewertowskiemu, prof. UWM. W 40-lecie święceń kapłańskich i 65-lecie urodzin, ed. M. Karczewski, S. Mikołajczak, J. Ruciński, Faculty of Theology University of Warmia and Mazury, Olsztyn 2017, p. 107–118. However in the English-language article significantly expanded the number of quotes from the original source, the scientific bibliography has been supplemented, the theological conclusion were refined, the content of the publication has been extended. The article is a contribution too further research on the biblical hermeneutic of Johann Gottfried Herder. Scientific discussion on this subject is not free from simplifications and opinions not entirely legitimate. The article contains an introduction, two main parts and conclusion. The main parts contain: 1) a short description of the scientific and ecclesiastical career of J.G. Herder; discussion of his theological works; characteristics of J.G. Herder as a biblist and 2) analysis of the Messages to the Seven Churches contained in his commentary on the Revelation. The basic source is Maran atha. Das Buch von der Zukunft des Herrn. Des Neuen Testaments Siegel. 1779 issued originally in Riga and in the edition of J.G. Müller in Stuttgart and Tübingen in the Johann Gottfried von Herder’s Sämtliche Werke. Zur Religion und Theologie. Zwölfter Theilseries, 1829, pp. 8–291 along with additional texts on the Revelation of St. John from 1773–1778. A biblical commentary to Rev. 2–3, along with its unusual scientific style and preaching, is a valuable source of knowledge about Herder’s biblical interpretation. This allows you to get acquainted with Herder’s original theology, which, flowing from the Word of God, is based on three pillars: Christology, pneumatology and ecclesiology. Theological message of J.G. Herder contained in the discussed part of the commentary on the Revelation has, over many points, the value above the confessional and timeless.

Komentarz do Apokalipsy 2 – 3 według „Johannes Offenbarung” Johanna Gottfrieda Herdera, w: Veritatem revelare. Księga Pamiątkowa dedykowana ks. S. Ewertowskiemu w 40-lecie święceń kapłańskich i 65-lecie urodzin, red. M. Karczewski, S. Mikołajczak, J. Ruciński, Wydział Teologii UWM, Olsztyn 2017, s. 107 – 118. Jednak w artykule angielskojęzycznym poszerzono znacznie ilość cytatów z oryginalnego źródła, uzupełniono bibliografię naukową, dopracowano wnioski teologiczne, poszerzono zasadniczą treść publikacji. Artykuł stanowi przyczynek do dalszych badań nad hermeneutyką biblijną Johanna Gottfrieda Herdera. W dyskusji naukowej na ten temat nie brakuje bowiem uproszczeń i opinii nie do końca uprawnionych. Artykuł zawiera wstęp, dwie części główne oraz zakończenie. Części główne są dedykowane odpowiednio: (1) krótkiej charakterystyce rozwoju naukowego oraz kariery kościelnej J.G. Herdera; omówieniu jego twórczości teologicznej; charakterystyce twórczości J.G. Herdera jako biblisty oraz (2) analizie Listów do Kościołów zawartych w jego komentarzu do Apokalipsy. Źródło podstawowe stanowi tekst Maran atha. Das Buch von der Zukunft des Herrn. Des Neuen Testaments Siegel. 1779 wydany pierwotnie w Rydze oraz w edycji J. G. Müllera w Stuttgarcie i Tybindze w serii Johann Gottfried von Herder’s Sämtliche Werke. Zur Religion und Theologie. Zwölfter Theil w roku 1829, s. 8 – 291 wraz z dodatkowymi tekstami dotyczącymi Apokalipsy św. Jana z lat 1773 – 1778. Komentarz biblijny do Ap 2 – 3, wraz z jego niezwykłym stylem naukowym i kaznodziejskim zarazem stanowi cenne źródło informacji o sposobach interpretacji tekstu biblijnego stosowanych przez J. G. Herdera. Jednocześnie pozwala zapoznać się bliżej oryginalną teologią Herdera, która wypływając ze Słowa Boga zdaje się bazować na trzech filarach: chrystologii, pneumatologii oraz eklezjologii. Przesłanie teologiczne J. G. Herdera zawarte w omawianej części komentarza do Apokalipsy św. Jana posiada w wielu punktach walor ponad konfesyjny i ponadczasowy.
