    This document summarizes the results of an experiment made in the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland during autumn 2005 and winter 2006. The goal of the project was to collect and analyze large portion of Polish Web documents in order to characterize the structure and other properties of the „.pl” domain. Up to the knowledge of the authors, it was the first publicly reported research experiment of this kind over the Polish Web. The following sections include information about downloaded Web pages, Web sites, and their characteristics. We also present various statistics concerning hosts and domains, as well as the link structure. Among the results of the experiment are the first data sets representing graphs of the Polish Web which will be publicly available for other researchers.

    Implementation of the Bulgarian-Polish online dictionaryThe paper describes the implementation of an online Bulgarian-Polish dictionary as a technological tool for applications in digital humanities. This bilingual digital dictionary is developed in the frame of the joint research project “Semantics and Contrastive Linguistics with a focus on a bilingual electronic dictionary” between IMI-BAS and ISS-PAS, supervised by L. Dimitrova (IMI-BAS) and V. Koseska-Toszewa (ISS-PAS). In addition, the main software tools for web-presentation of the dictionary are described briefly.

    Opis:
    Authors of this paper present a development of a visual web dictionary based on automatic extraction of verbs and their attributes from texts using the inflection dictionary of Polish language. Entries of the designed dictionary are based on triples: subject (agent) + predicate (action) + object/tool. The paper describes a prototype implementation of such a dictionary. In the paper the background for the research is presented as well as the considered problem is outlined. Moreover, the structure of the inflection dictionary of Polish language is described along with the classification of computer dictionaries. In the implementation part of the paper, the architecture of the developed web dictionary and the extraction algorithm are described.

    The article presents evaluation of marketing activities of Polish dairy cooperatives on their websites. The objective of the research was to determine whether the marketing activities are uniform or differentiated, and what were the differences between the researched websites. In the research the content analysis method was used. In the course of the research the elements of a website were classified into three categories representing marketing functions. Using content analysis, 20 of websites were analysed in terms of websites’ elements performing marketing functions of advertising, public relations and sale. The research proves that the Polish dairy cooperatives implement on their websites differentiated marketing activities in terms of the number of the elements and their marketing functions. Some of the researched cooperatives attach greater importance than others to using their website as a marketing tool.
    W artykule zaprezentowano ocenę działań marketingowych, które polskie spółdzielnie mleczarskie prowadzą na swoich stronach internetowych. Głównym celem badania było określenie, czy działania są zróżnicowana, czy jednolite oraz na czym polegają różnice. W badaniu użyto techniki badawczej zwanej analizą treści. Elementy stron internetowych sklasyfikowano do trzech kategorii reprezentujących funkcje marketingowe. Wykorzystując metodę analizy treści, przeprowadzono analizę 20 stron internetowych pod względem elementów stron pełniących marketingowe funkcje reklamy, public relations oraz sprzedaży. Badanie pokazuje, że polskie spółdzielnie mleczarskie stosują na swych stronach internetowych zróżnicowane działania marketingowe pod względem liczby oraz funkcji poszczególnych elementów stron. Niektóre z badanych spółdzielni przywiązują większą wagę od innych do wykorzystywania strony internetowej jako narzędzia marketingu.

    Web presentation of bilingual corpora (Slovak-Bulgarian and Bulgarian-Polish)In this paper we focus on the web-presentation of bilingual corpora in three Slavic languages and their possible applications. Slovak-Bulgarian and Bulgarian-Polish corpora are collected and developed as results of the collaboration in the frameworks of two joint research projects between Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, from one side, and from the other side: Ľ.     The aim of the article is to indicate the influence of human resource policy on the presence of Polish science in global science. Research findings include an analysis of changes over time in the number of research personnel and papers indexed in the Web of Science database. The research method used in the study is statistical analysis with the use of correlation analysis and regression analysis. Application of these tools allowed for establishing basic relationships between the analysed variables. Obtained results point to the fact that the human resource policy in Polish science, aimed at increasing the number of papers published at international level or in international circulation, turns out to be effective. This growth was especially visible in the years 1999–2011.

    The dynamic development of the information society and the omnipresence of ICTs has changed the work of Polish teachers. As a result of the expansion of digital forms, Polish teachers engage in various professional activities in cyberspace. The author indicated that Polish teachers have become extremely active on the internet, and she discussed the phenomenon of teacher blogs. A hugely interesting issue is the influence of blogs on teaching Polish in schools, and the development of teachers’ professional competences. The act of writing journals online may bring benefits for the digital school (by adapting teaching processes to the needs of tablet children and global teenagers, combining the methods typical for the technological revolution with traditional teaching tools). A review of blogs maintained on Facebook enabled the author to indicate various strategies of working with pupils, and the evolution of creative attitudes of Polish teachers.
    Dynamiczny rozwój społeczeństwa informacyjnego i wszechobecność technologii informacyjnych zmieniły warsztat nauczyciela języka polskiego. Z powodu ekspansji form cyfrowych szkolni poloniści podejmują bardzo różne działania zawodowe w cyberprzestrzeni. Autorka zwraca uwagę na intensywną aktywizację nauczycieli języka polskiego w Internecie i omawia fenomen blogów nauczycielskich. Niezwykle interesującym zagadnieniem jest oddziaływanie blogów na szkolną dydaktykę języka polskiego i rozwój kompetencji zawodowych nauczycieli. Wydaje się, że pisanie dzienników w sieci może przynieść korzyści w cyfrowej szkole (dostosowanie procesów nauczania do potrzeb tabletowych dzieci i globalnych nastolatków, połączenie metod typowych dla rewolucji technologicznej z tradycyjnymi narzędziami dydaktycznymi). Przegląd blogów funkcjonujących na Facebooku umożliwił pokazanie różnych strategii pracy z uczniami i ewolucji postaw twórczych nauczycieli języka polskiego.
