Opis:
Ships have an important role in among the factors causing marine pollution. Marine pollution by ships damages sea life, which effects human health indirectly, in addition it restricts usage of sea for different purposes. Increasing comprehensive and compelling liabilities related with environmental components and subjects day by day are expected results for environmental science and engineering applications according to 60% of our responsibilities of European Union Integration development. In today’s’ world, where global warming is an issue of high priority and makes us feel its impacts in our lives, leaving a livable world to the next generations is now a primary goal for all. Determination of marine pollution caused by ship operations issue is a multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem, and requires MCDM methods to solve it. Therefore, the role of ship factor in maritime pollution and the possible reasons of this argument can be quantitatively evaluated based on expert knowledge and MCDM methodology. To investigate what makes to reduce the first “caused by ship operations " in marine pollution, the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method approach was applied in this study.

Opis:
The article presents a description of scientific achievements concerning Multiple- Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods attained as part of the cooperation between scientific centres of Lithuania, Germany and Poland with a special emphasis on the input by Professor Edmundas K. Zavadskas and his scientific school. The cooperation, which commenced in 1986, focused on “Colloquia” — the systematic, international scientific seminars. The article aimed to summarise and popularise the achievement of these “Colloquia” in the area of MCDM as well as spotlight the outstanding theoretical and application significance of accomplishments by Prof. Zavadskas. Also, the work presents the most recent MCDM methods developed by Prof. Zavadskas that improve the accuracy of calculations and extend the area of their application.

Opis:
The article presents a coherent methodology of a multiple criteria evaluation of suppliers in furniture industry covering: the definition of a set of variants - laminated chipboards suppliers, the definition of a consistent family of criteria that allows for their comprehensive evaluation, modelling of decision maker’s (DM’s) preferences (including: the definition of the importance of criteria and the DM’s sensitivity towards changes of criteria values), and finally computational experiments resulting in the final ranking of suppliers. Six suppliers have been taken into consideration. In the family of criteria evaluating the suppliers, 9 measures have been taken into account. These have included, among others: product price, product quality, timeliness and reliability of delivery or cost of delivery. In the computational phase a selected MCDM/A ranking method which is Electre III/IV has been applied.

Opis:
This paper presents the most important aspects of multiple criteria evaluation of the distribution system of goods (DSG). The methodology of multiple criteria decision making/aiding is utilized and its 4 phases are described. The first one is based on the recognition of the decision situation. In the second phase the decision problem is formulated. Different scenarios of the system’s reorganization are constructed. Then the family of criteria is described and the model of decision maker’s preferences is presented. Third phase is based on the selection of the computer-based methods capable of solving the decision problem. In the last phase the computational experiments are carried out. Based on their results, as well as on the sensitivity analysis carried out, the compromise solution is selected. The above presented methodology is verified on the real Polish distribution system of goods.
W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono istotę wielokryterialnej oceny funkcjonowania systemu dystrybucji towarów (SDT). Analizie poddano metodykę wielokryterialnego wspomagania decyzji, w ramach której wyróżniono cztery zasadnicze fazy. W pierwszej z nich następuje rozpoznanie sytuacji decyzyjnej.

Opis:
Rational solution for mining equipment based on the use of haul trucks, excavators, wheel loaders and crunchers should result from thorough analysis of technical and economic issues – both cost-related and exploitational - which can have a crucial impact on the cost of minerals extraction. Moreover mining equipment should be selected with consideration for all vital parameters in specific exploitational conditions and even the exploiter’s preferences. This selection should consider hitherto disregarded criteria, such as mean availability and structure utilization of machinery systems with the aim to improve the same. Methodology presented in the paper illustrates practical application of MCDM and one particular method of this type – the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) – for resolving the problem in specific exploitational conditions of mineral resource in surface mining AHP method covers a multi-criteria approach based on a compensation strategy to model preferences and assuming variant comparability. Taking into account the preferences of the evaluator, which determine the subjectivity of comparative evaluation, is the core of the multi-criteria approach, which treats such preferences Considering the above issues, the following paper is an attempt to develop new and universal criteria as well as a method of evaluation and selection of means of mining equipment for mineral resource surface mines.
