Opis:
Cases of heavy traffic congestion (commonly referred to as traffic jams) have negative influences on the economy, public health, and social life. This makes it important to assist drivers in these situations with Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The aim of this article is to present a low-cost device that supports driving in traffic jams. The system, which is based on data from a laser sensor with a range of up to 40 m, controls the distances to vehicles in front of and behind a moving car. Through audio and video signals, it warns the driver whether the vehicle in front of or behind the equipped vehicle is too close. This allows the driver to control the distance and avoid minor collisions.

Opis:
The Internet has evolved from connecting people and later videos, photos, and text to more recently physical objects. Using sensors, physical objects can “talk” (transmit data) to each other and even command each other to perform a physical act. As things and people become more connected, such objects will also become part of social net-works, much in the same way that people tag photos on Facebook. In this way, the value of such objects will increase for both research and learning. The IOT and Cloud computing technologies can provide solutions for the above-mentioned problems in the education system. Cloud computing enables users to control and access data via the Internet. The main users of a typical higher education cloud include students, faculty, administrative staff, Examination Branch and Admission Branch. All the main users of the institution are connected to the cloud. Separate login is provided for all the users for their respective work[12]. Teachers can upload their class Tutorials, assignments, and tests on the cloud server which students will be able to access all the teaching material provided by the teachers via the Internet using computers and other electronic devices both at home and college and 24X7. This paper focuses on the integration of Cloud and IOT for the education system. Connected de-vices can help make life easier for students with special needs. Many of the daydreams for IOT in education involve students taking advantage of new technologies to complete cool new projects.

Opis:
Digitization and automation are transforming traditional systems for monitoring and managing objects in exteriors. Innovative farms are gradually moving in livestock management systems from paper reporting to integrated, shared and autonomous services throughout the livestock live-cycle. Although autonomous monitoring is a reality today, the benefits of autonomous monitoring by unmanned aerial systems (UAVs) for animal identification and authentication do not lie in the herd itself, but in what aerial systems can offer when operated and managed in an integrated ecosystem. At present, UAVs are little used in the agro sector as a concept “mobility-as-a-service” (MaaS), because farmers themselves in the real environment are not able to respond flexibly to technological innovations and adapt to the demand for monitoring and providing authentic data in real-time to the subsidy payment system. The focus of the paper is the presentation of a procedure targeted on design of an objects monitoring system in exterior according to defined parameters with selected main and specific data; taking in the account predefined parameters at the same time, the requirements for technological means and software with the support of machine learning for livestock identification as well as composition of selected technical equipment using the IoT concept with unique beacons for subsequent data processing in the reliable authentication methodology of every monitored objects are defined.

Opis:
Recommender systems (RS) have emerged as a means of providing relevant content to users, whether in social networking, health, education, or elections. Furthermore, with the rapid development of cloud computing, Big Data, and the Internet of Things (IoT), the component of all this is that elections are controlled by open and accountable, neutral, and autonomous election management bodies. The use of technology in voting procedures can make them faster, more efficient, and less susceptible to security breaches. Technology can ensure the security of every vote, better and faster automatic counting and tallying, and much greater accuracy. The election data were combined by different websites and applications. In addition, it was interpreted using many recommendation algorithms such as Machine Learning Algorithms, Vector Representation Algorithms, Latent Factor Model Algorithms, and Neighbourhood Methods and shared with the election management bodies to provide appropriate recommendations. In this paper, we conduct a comparative study of the algorithms applied in the recommendations of Big Data architectures. The results show us that the K-NN model works best with an accuracy of 96%. In addition, we provided the best recommendation system is the hybrid recommendation combined by content-based filtering and collaborative filtering uses similarities between users and items.

Nowadays, the technological innovations affect all human activities; also the agriculture field heavily benefits of technologies as informatics, electronic, telecommunication, allowing huge improvements of productivity and resources exploitation. This manuscript presents an innovative low cost fertigation system for assisting the cultures by using dataprocessing electronic boards and wireless sensors network (WSN) connected to a remote software platform. The proposed system receives information related to air and soil parameters, by a custom solar-powered WSN. A control unit elaborates the acquired data by using dynamic agronomic models implemented on a cloud platform, for optimizing the amount and typology of fertilizers as well as the irrigations frequency, as function also of weather forecasts got by on-line weather service.

Opis:
This paper introduces a fuzzy logic (FL) based decision support system (DSS) for a three-phase bidirectional AC-DC grid converter, working in a modern grid-like smart grid or smart industry. It is assumed that the appliances connected to that grid interact as in the Internet of Things (IoT) or like in the Internet of Everything (IoE) i.e. with a human being located in the chain of data flow. A power electronics AC-DC converter, operating as a shunt active power filter (SAPF) is selected for the case study. A harmonics reduction algorithm is presented as an implementation sample of the DSS. The operation of the SAPF is described and analysed. Experimental results showing the tuning process and operation of the laboratory model are also presented and discussed. Finally, it is shown that the DSS is an elegant and intuitive interface, which can simplify a human’s or machine’s decision-making process. Thanks to the DSS, the meaning of transferred data is translated into linguistic variables that can be understood by non-experts. Hence, it is expected that the amount of transferred data in the smart grid and in the IoE would be reduced. But in the same time, the high quality of the controlled process is retained, as shown by the example of a conventional SAPF.
