Opis:
Physical machine systems are represented in the form of differential equations. These differential equations may be of the higher order and difficult to analyses. Therefore, it is necessary to convert the higher-order to lower order which replicates approximately similar properties of the higher-order system (HOS). This article presents a novel approach to reducing the higher-order model. The approach is based on the hunting demeanor of the hawk and escaping of the prey. The proposed method unifies the Harris hawk algorithm and the moment matching technique. The method is applied on single input single output (SISO), multi-input multi-output (MIMO) linear time–invariant (LTI) systems. The proposed method is justified by examining the result. The results are compared using the step response characteristics and response error indices. The response indices are integral square error, integral absolute error, integral time absolute error. The step response characteristics such as rise time, peak, peak time, settling time of the proposed reduced order follows 97%–100% of the original system characteristics.

Presently, naturalistic theism is the dominant position in the debate on the relation between science and religion, defending a thesis that the conflict between science and religion is only an apparent one. Also, this version of theism accepts the naturalist assumptions behind contemporary science and attempts to reformulate the beliefs held within the traditional Christian theism in order to present the religious view of reality as not conflicting with the scientific picture of the world. Certain assumptions behind Mark Harris’s views on the relations between science and religion can be described as consistent with naturalistic theism. The model of levels of analysis helps to analyze the most important themes found within naturalistic theism and show how these are described in the works of Harris. The model facilitates the identification of the relations between particular kinds of assumptions behind the position taken from the point of view of naturalistic theism in the debate on the relation between science and religion. The list of most frequently recurring assumptions — that are also important in Harris’s writings — include: the general division of epistemic competence, which assumes theology (religion) to be competent in dealing with the metaphysical issues (Levels 1 and 2) and science to be the only one competent to deliver the empirical statements describing processes and entities found within the empirical sphere (Levels 4 and 5); the acceptance of the naturalistic assumptions behind contemporary science (Level 2) and skepticism toward the religious notions found in the traditional Christian theism describing supernatural interventions and toward the dualist interpretation of human soul (Level 3). This leads to the acceptance of purely scientific, naturalistic, explanations of the events found within the empirical sphere and to skepticism toward the literal meaning of descriptions of empirical events (Level 5) that are not consistent with the anti-interventionist assumptions behind science. Harris’s acceptance of naturalistic theism in terms of the relation between science and religion and his use of the techniques found in the modern biblical scholarship have led him to the ideas of plurality of meanings and the lack of one definite truth with respect to the specific issues he deals with. From the point of view of MLA it is the rejection of super-naturalistic assumptions of the traditional Christian theism and the acceptance of the naturalistic assumptions of science that seems to be the cause of lack of definite truth in his theological explanations.

Acting Styles of the British New Wave British New Wave cinema is typically associated with two groups of actors. One includes those with an established position (such as Peter Finch, Laurence Olivier or Dirk Bogarde), and the other those at the beginning of their film career. The latter group seems to be much more interesting in terms of their lives, background and their methods of work. Most of them come from a working-class, non-artistic background (from which the directors of New Wave films asked them to draw inspiration). However, all of them received a solid theatrical education. In this way, a unique collage of skills and experience was created, the elements of which produced a very interesting artistic result. This sheds new light on the phenomenon of the British New Wave: actors, graduates of renowned schools, known from the most famous theatres and troupes (such as the Royal Court Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company or the Old Vic) end up in films where they are supposed to play characters from the lower social classes, speak their language and make reference to their own memories and background.

Opis:
The hybridization of a recently suggested Harris hawk’s optimizer (HHO) with the traditional particle swarm optimization (PSO) has been proposed in this paper. The velocity function update in each iteration of the PSO technique has been adopted to avoid being trapped into local search space with HHO. The performance of the proposed Integrated HHO-PSO (IHHOPSO) is evaluated using 23 benchmark functions and compared with the novel algorithms and hybrid versions of the neighbouring standard algorithms. Statistical analysis with the proposed algorithm is presented, and the effectiveness is shown in the comparison of grey wolf optimization (GWO), Harris hawks optimizer (HHO), barnacles matting optimization (BMO) and hybrid GWO-PSO algorithms. The comparison in convergence characters with the considered set of optimization methods also presented along with the boxplot. The proposed algorithm is further validated via an emerging engineering case study of controller parameter tuning of power system stability enhancement problem. The considered case study tunes the parameters of STATCOM and power system stabilizers (PSS) connected in a sample power network with the proposed IHHOPSO algorithm. A multi-objective function has been considered and different operating conditions has been investigated in this papers which recommends proposed algorithm in an effective damping of power network oscillations.

Objectives The primary endpoints of the study were to assess the effectiveness of hip joint arthroscopy in the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) in patients with joint gap stenosis and to determine if and how quickly patients were able to return to work and physical activity. Material and Methods The prospective study of patients undergoing hip joint arthroscopy due to pain in FAI has been conducted. They were divided into 2 groups depending on the degree of the radiological examination. The criterion was the width of the joint gap. The study group involved 47 patients with hip joint gap of 2–3 mm, identified by means of the standardized X-ray examination. The control group consisted of 45 patients with hip joint gap > 3 mm. The post-operative follow-up period of the patients lasted at least 2 years. In addition, the Western Ontario McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) questionnaire together with Harris Hip Score (HHS) were applied. The patients were also evaluated for the post-operative time period enabling return to work. Results All the patients after hip joint arthroscopy returned to normal physical activity within 12 weeks after operation, enabling their return to work. However, it should be noted that during the post-operative follow-up, pain sensations either recurred or did not regress in 37 patients in the study group and 12 patients in the control group after treatment. The nearly equal results of the WOMAC questionnaire and HHS before operation significantly vary between both groups in the last follow up. In the study group they did not change expressively. Conclusions Despite the little invasiveness, hip joint arthroscopy in patients with joint gap stenosis brings about the far from satisfactory results. This procedure is not worth considering. Despite unsatisfactory pain relief, patients decided to returned to work, due to their occupational position and for fear of losing the job due to long absenteeism. The osteoarthritis of the hip dominant symptom is pain that leads to disability and to postural and gait disorders. The aim of this study was to analyze postural stability and its impact on disability and pain. The study population consisted of 60 patients and control group of 30. Group 1 (n = 30) included patients with unilateral coxarthrosis, aged 56.2 (±12.3) years, BMI 25.17 (±2.87) kg/m2. There were 16 men (53.3%). The mean age of patients in group 2 (n = 30) with bilateral coxarthrosis was 62.3 (±12.1) years; the mean BMI was 24.87 (±2.06) kg/m2. There were 15 men in this group (50%). The patients were evaluated using the WOMAC, the Harris Hip Score, VAS and the Biodex Balance System. Both study groups had stability index results different than the control group. There was a significant correlation between the stability indexes and BMI. VAS correlated with the M-L plane variance. In group 2, there were significant differences related to disability for the disability scales for all measured parameters. Balance disorder is a basic parameter found in coxathrosis. There is a statistically significant correlation between balance disorders and BMI, VAS and functional scales.

Opis:
Nowadays, there are many watermarking algorithms based on wavelet transform. The simple one is to insert directly the watermark into the wavelet transform coefficients. However, most of the existing watermarking schemes can only resist traditional signal processing attacks, such as image compression, noise and filtering. When the watermarked image is subject to geometric transformations, especially rotation attack, it is hard to detect the watermark successfully. In this paper, a digital watermarking algorithm is proposed based on 4-level discrete wavelet transform and discrete fractional angular transform. To enhance the security of the algorithm, the watermark is scrambled with the simplicity of Arnold transform and chaos-based mix optical bistability model, since the chaos is pseudorandom and sensitive to the initial values. And the watermark is embedded into the medium frequency sub-band of the 1-level wavelet decomposition according to the Harris feature point detection. Simulation results show that the proposed digital watermarking algorithm by combining 4-level discrete wavelet transform with discrete fractional angular transform could resist rotation attack and other common attacks.

One-third of all adults under the age of thirty in the United States of America are ‘nones’. Nones include atheists, agnostics, and those who answer “nothing in particular” to religious survey questions. In this article the authors examine the rise of the nones, drawing upon the work of Mary Eberstadt, Charles Taylor, and Joseph Bottum. We classify the nones into three groups: naturalists, transcendent spiritualists, and non-transcendent spiritualists. After discussing various challenges for evangelization among the nones, we propose some ideas to address these challenges. Here we draw upon the work of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Jacques Maritain, and Mariano Artigas. Finally, we discuss some cultural concerns and problems that would probably result if the rise of the nones is left unaddressed.
