    Opis:
    This work introduces a cheap system of data sending through the internet services using the telephone installed in GPRS system. The system enables sending data with the speed up till 115,2 kbps, where only the quantity of data instead of the time of connection with net is to be paid for. The basis of an introduced system is the Time Port Motorola Telephone as well as the system based on the processor 8051. The described device is universal and may serve for sending such data as: the current position (of persons, vehicles etc), meteorological data, data records of working devices in a given place, biomedical information in monitoring of treated patients or persons undergoing clinical tests in movement.

    This work presents the possibility of measuring heart action parameters in the alpine conditions as well as the measuring system, which helps to measure and transmit EKG signal with the aid of GPRS net. The GPRS transmission makes the estimation of heart action on - line possible. Thanks to it, it is possible to monitor the reaction of human organism being on a certain level of height. GPRS net application enables the measuring in the whole world. The charge for using this net is only dependent on the quantity of transmitted data which needs the signal compression. This work also mentions the possibility of compression use, which takes the advantage of temporal and frequency decomposition.

    The paper contains a review and analysis of evolutionary paths of seven most important, from network development strategy point of view, wireless communication systems, especially the WLAN operating according to the IEEE 802.11 standard. With respect to WLAN, trends related to evolution toward mobile network and self organizing network as well as toward integration of WLAN and GSM using GPRS are presented. Concerning WLAN architecture development, evolution paths toward distributed controlled network as well as centrally coordinated and controlled network are described. Moreover, analysis includes cellular mobile radio systems, wireless personal networks, wide area wireless packet data systems, satellite-based mobile systems, paging/messaging systems and cordless telephones. With respect to these systems, general evolution process and trends associated with this process are described.

    In the paper are presented results of market researches of logistic enterprises in Upper Silesia region which determine the level of implementation of GPS systems in vehicles. The results of that research implied design of GPS-GPRS module to be applied in vehicles as an alternative solution for modules already present on the market.
    W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych przedsiębiorstw transportowo-spedycyjnych, dotyczących stopnia wykorzystania nawigacji satelitarnej GPS w pojazdach. Wyniki tych badań stanowiły bodziec do zaprojektowania modułu GPS z możliwością pakietowej transmisji danych GPRS alternatywnej do produkowanych na rynku.

    This study explores the applications of a data transmission technology GPRS to real-time GPS geodetic surveys (RT and RTK systems). Various configurations of the equipment were considered, with the particular focus on the IGTS device, manufactured by INS Ltd. Tests were run in laboratory conditions, utilising the testing facilities available at the Faculty of Mining Surveying and Environment Protection AGH-UST.
    Artykuł poświęcono analizie zastosowania technologii pakietowego przesyłania danych - GPRS, w geodezyjnych pomiarach GPS czasu rzeczywistego (RT i RTK). Analizę tę przeprowadzono, korzystając z różnych konfiguracji sprzętu, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem urządzenia IGTS firmy INS sp. z o.o. Prace wykonano w warunkach laboratoryjnych, wykorzystując punkty testowe na budynku WGGIŚ AGH.

    New methods of RTK and DGPS corrections transfer are aimed to extend their accessibility range, from one base station. The Internet proves to be an excellent corrections carrier, allowing differential corrections to be received from accessible servers. In RTK land surveys, the easiest reception of corrections is via GPRS transmission, provided by mobile phone operators. DGPS surveys might utilise satellite transmission, supported by NAVSTAR system. The paper reviews the current methods of differential corrections transfer.
    Nowoczesne metody transmisji korekt RTK i DGPS dążą do powiększenia zasięgu ich stosowalności z jednej stacji bazowej. Bardzo dobrym medium przenoszącym te korekty jest Internet, który umożliwia w różnorodny sposób pobieranie poprawek różnicowych z serwerów je udostępniających. Obecnie, w trakcie pomiarów terenowych RTK, najprostsze wydaje się być pobieranie korekt dzięki transmisji GPRS, zapewnianej przez operatorów telefonii komórkowych. Pomiary DGPS są możliwe również za pomocą transmisji satelitarnej z systemów wspomagających NAVSTAR. W artykule dokonano przeglądu aktualnie dostępnych metod transmisji poprawek różnicowych.

    The article presents conception of authors management and monitoring system based on GPS, for application in the transport and land and air communication. This system arises as an answer to demand of local Civil Services, which are member of a crisis management. System purpose is to increase the effectiveness and safeties during salvage actions. In following years the system evolved, allowing its use not only in land conditions but also in the transport and the air lifesaving. Article shows future plans connected with the system development and the extension with ADS-B system (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast).

    The paper presents the results of positioning by means of the RTK (Real Time Kinematic) method under forest conditions. The experiments were conducted over four consecutive days on hours when the configuration of GPS satellites over the test point was optimal. During the tests a Z-Xtreme receiver by Ashtech was used. On the first and the last day the corrections from the reference station were transmitted to the mobile receiver using the NTRIP application and on the other days the radio modem by SATEL was used for transmission of the corrections. The accuracy of measurement point coordinates in the GPS/RTK is expressed in centimeters; however, achievernent of that accuracy of results under forest conditions is highly difflcult as a consequence of the problem with ambiguity determination by the mobile receiver. Additionally, the mobile receiver is reached by GPS signals disturbed by signal multipath and cycle slip errors. The experiments presented in this paper indicate that despite very difficult measurement conditions it is possible to determine the coordinates of points under forest conditions with the accuracy of a few centimeters.

    In 2011 ITAM has completed work conducted with WIML's representatives to develop a comprehensive method of psycho-physiological pilots' signals and external environmental parameters during a test flight. It has been assumed that data will be collected "off line" during a training flight and stored in the monitoring module's memory, and after the flight it will be loaded to the operator's station system at the airport. The "On line" transmission of chosen parameters directly into a database and ongoing observation have also been anticipated. One of the main assumptions for the system was its independent work from the avionics systems of aircraft used for training. This has made it possible to use the system regardless the type of aircraft equipment and without having the necessity to stringent criteria of aviation hardware acceptance. The recording system has been designed as a distributed system consists of modules carried by the pilot, those placed permanently in the cockpit of the plane, a station for test flight preparation and reading recorded data, as well as a database system accessible via the Internet. Communication between the various system modules is to employ various transmission systems, wired as well as wireless. For safety reasons wireless communication between modules in the cockpit was not used in flight, with the exception of GSM transmission used to transfer selected data directly to the Central Acquisition System.

    The article describes how to implement part of the tasks of geolocation system and mobile data terminal registration related to servicing tasks by a central node. The entire system consists of two parts. The first part - mobile node, is situated on the side of the user, who uses the mobile data terminal equipped with GPS module and connected to the Internet, e.g. through GPRS system. The second part of the system (central node) is responsible for collecting essential data from the database, processing it, and displaying current position of the device along with additional information (time, speed) on a map from Google Maps resources. The article describes the rules of implementing Google Maps API - programming interface which allows using Google Maps on websites. Google Maps API allows for integrating a fully functional map on a website, including the features for handling events connected with the mobile data terminals geolocation process.

    The paper analyzes the prospects for the formation and implementation of digital data transmission technologies on railways of Kazakhstan, taking into account the potential for the development of high-speed railway transport (HSRWT), as well as new approaches for solving the development problems of advanced automated dispatch control systems (ADCS). It was shown that the solution of these problems is possible by automatization of the train traffic coordination based on the use of the potential of the GPRS data transmission technology. The work further developed models and algorithms used in ADCS of the railway transport. There has been carried out the formalization of the tasks of navigation data transmission for ADCS and for the subsystems of the railway rolling stock movement coordination, including HSRWT using GPRS data transmission technology. Also, the article describes a modernized algorithm for simulation of the GPRS channels operation in ADCS. The proposed algorithm differs from the existing ones by the ability to make predictive estimates for determination of the railway rolling stock location. Also, the developed algorithm provides opportunities for coordination of the trains movement, taking into account the optimization of the GPRS resources use.

    With the advancement of technology and the implementation of contemporary techniques and system controls, conventional methods of on-site monitoring have been replaced by remote supervision, which offers a number of advantages. As a result, it appears that a suitable strategy utilizing these contemporary approaches and incorporating information technology into the industry is required. The author's goal in this work is to describe a device for remotely transferring cathodic protection information from oil and gas pipelines to a platform server through the internet and sending alerts by SMS and e-mail. This system was developed and tested in Iraq's Al-Ahdab oil field. The system provides real-time, 24/7 assessment data with an accuracy of 99.7%.
