Opis:
Since the 1990s organized groups have begun to appear in the Czech Republic called „football hooligans”. These groups have drawn the attention of the media, security forces, officials of the Czech Republic Football Association, and the broader public. This text focuses on selected topics associated with the phenomenon of football hooliganism. After a brief history of football hooliganism abroad, especially in England, it will describe the current status of this phenomenon in the Czech Republic. An important part of the text will be devoted to classifying spectators surveyed at football matches into three groups: the broader football audience, fans, and hooligans. Each of these groups will be given a basic description based on previous research carried out at football stadiums. Another goal of the text will be to present the sociological discussion about this phenomenon in the Czech setting, identify the main research avenues, and present some of the sociological studies done in the Czech Republic in recent years. Another important part of the text will be a conceptualization of individual terms, and a brief history of the phenomenon in the Czech Republic, and in the Czechoslovak Republic prior to 1989. Subsequent passages will present the legislative measures and specific laws that have been adopted to address the phenomenon of football hooliganism.

Opis:
Background. Numerous studies show that in addition to football’s physical and cognitive requirements, there is an increasing emphasis on acquiring a high level of technical skills at an early age. The aim of the research is to investigate an innovative football delivery machine used for technical skill development under two different training systems. Material and methods. Physiological parameters and locomotor skills were examined with a Polar Team Pro device during the study. Results. Significant differences were found in the results for maximum heart rate (p=0.015), number of sprints (p=0.009), time-proportionate running distance (p=0.000), and highintensity accelerations (p=0.002) and decelerations (p=0.001). Conclusions. The football delivery machine provided a more intense training session for athletes in terms of micro-movements. However, in terms of physiological parameters, the intensity did not reach the values measured during a traditional technical training session.
Wprowadzenie. Materiał i metody. Podczas badania parametry fizjologiczne i zdolności lokomocyjne były sprawdzane za pomocą urządzenia Polar Team Pro. Wyniki. Stwierdzono istotne różnice w wynikach dla maksymalnej częstości akcji serca (p=0,015), liczby sprintów (p=0,009), dystansu biegu proporcjonalnego do czasu (p=0,000) oraz przyspieszeń (p=0,002) i spowolnień (p=0,001) o dużej intensywności. Wnioski. Stwierdzono, że urządzenie do podawania piłek nożnych zapewniało sportowcom bardziej intensywną sesję treningową pod względem mikroruchów. Jednak pod względem parametrów fizjologicznych intensywność nie osiągnęła wartości mierzonych podczas tradycyjnej sesji treningu technicznego.

Not Just For KicksThe match-up between Makabi and Inter did not attract many spectators. The weather was likely the only factor at play, since that Saturday in November was extremely nasty. That was because the game was held not in Haifa or even Milan, but in the Warsaw district of Mokotów. To be precise, on a small but well-kept field lined with artificial turf in the so-called Jordan’s Garden. The game, lasting fifty minutes including the break, was not especially fierce, and ended with Inter’s confident victory 5–1. Esej, który uzyskał wyróżnienie (drugie miejsce) w europejskim konkursie młodych badaczy (the Young Academies) w 2014 roku.

Background. The current situation experienced by football clubs in the Hungarian women’s first division was analyzed. It was assumed that: one of the obstacles for the development is the presence of non-skilled sports experts (H1); all the foreign players achieve better results than the Hungarians (H2); and the foreign players are older than the Hungarians on average (H3). Material and methods. In this study, the qualifications of the coaches in women’s football were compared with those in the men’s first division. The number of games played, performance statistics and average age amongst the players were studied as well. The data was analyzed using crosstab and two sample T-tests. Results. H1 was confirmed by T-test and the significant result between the two groups was p=0.00. H2 was confirmed as well: the performance analysis was significant and the foreign players achieve better results (p=0.001). The Hungarian players have better results in terms of the number of games, the number of performances in the starting lineup and the number of seasons played in the first division. Conclusions. The examined problems in Hungarian women’s football have been proven. All the areas of women’s football considered in this study require development, especially in terms of the academic qualities of the coaches, which widely affect the team’ performance.
Wprowadzenie. Materiał i metody. Wyniki. H1 potwierdzono T-testem, a wynik istotny pomiędzy obiema grupami wynosił p=0.00.

Business model is a concept that has been used in the sciences for about 20 years. In general, a business model can be regarded as a certain (more or less detailed) description or characterization of a business idea. The main objective of this paper is to develop a concept and evaluate the possibility of using the Osterwalder and Pigneur business model to describe how a football club operates, using the example of Legia Warszawa (hereinafter: Warsaw). The key elements of the business model in the reality of Legia Warsaw's operation were described, which resulted in a graphical representation of the Canvas Model.

Opis:
In comprehensive preparation of a player to football competition special attention is paid to his predispositions in terms of speed abilities. Therefore, the authors’ objective was to analyse maximum locomotor speed of players of the four best national teams competing during the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, including specifying the differences in terms of speeds of these national teams and players in corresponding playing positions of individual teams. The analysis used data obtained using the Castrol Performance Index, a kinematic method and in order to present significance of differences between the studied teams and playing positions one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed. The study showed that the mean maximum running speed of the players of the four best teams of the World Cup was 8.34 metres/ second. The mean maximum locomotive speed of the defenders in semi-finalist teams of the tournament was 8.29 m/s, while the midfielders’ speed was – 8.16 m/s, the forwards’ – 8.48 m/s and the goalkeepers’ – 7.40 m/s. The players who had a maximum speed of 9 m/s or more were the Dutchman Ron Vlaar (9.16 m/s) and the Argentines José María Basanta (9.09 m/s) and Ángel Di Maria (9.17 m/s). There is no significant difference between the world’s best teams, including between their corresponding playing positions, in the level of maximum running speeds determining the dynamics of the game.

Opis:
Small-sided soccer games, i.e. 1v1 are often used in training, which results in a composite influence on the player. Training exercises stimulated in the game allow to master many skills, form habits and modify behaviors associated with solving specific situations during a match. The aim of the study was to assess the intensity of exercise during a 1v1 game for goalkeepers. Eight goalkeepers participated in the experiment (body weight 80.63 ±3.50 kg, body height 184.69 ±3.71 cm, BMI 23.64 ±0.74). All goalkeepers played 1v1 games. During the small-sided game players can use all the goalkeeper techniques to score a goal. During all of the matches, heart rate (HR) was recorded using a sport tester, LA was measured in the second minute after the end of each game. There was also collected data determining subjective assessment of the effort made by the players using Borg scale (RPE). The highest average HR and RPE were recorded in the third match, respectively (192.38 ±8.07 b/min; 14.38 ±2.07), while in the first match the examined parameters were on average 186 ±8.85 b/min; 11.38 ±1.51, and in the second 186.00 ±8.09 b/min; 13.50 ±1.85 respectively. The highest LA level was recorded after the second match and equaled 7.71 ±2.07 mmol/l (7.06 ±3.54 after the first match and 7.5 ±1.37 after the third match). The 1v1 game requires the use of similar to the real game actions, as well as the average exercise intensity is also similar to the scoringopportunity situations and conditions of a match.

Opis:
Stadiums have recently become one of the most important issues in the economy of professional football clubs with its positive and negative effects. Football rapidly developing worldwide is social, cultural and economic phenomenon and is one of the world's most profitable sports. The transformation of an economics of billion dollars and the transformation of an industrial character from the beginning of the 1990s has caused all eyes to be turned over to the stadiums as a place of production of football over time. Stadiums in the process of industrial transformation of football have transformed into structures that live 365 days and generate significant monetary income, including non-football events. Now the conversion of soccer fans to a "consumer spectators" has led to a new comfort structure that will increase the added value of the clubs' stadiums per seat. In this way, the match day revenues, which will hold an important place in the monetary revenues of football, also started to increase its share in total revenues rapidly. Although this share has increased, because the seat capacity is fixed it has forced the clubs to become even more creative in these matters. Soccer clubs have started to design stadiums in this sense in a way that will make them more functional and monetary. Today, soccer stadiums have grown out of a simple structure and they have become the production center of industrial football and the most important source of income. The income generated by the stadiums is now approaching nearly 40 percent of European soccer revenue. The aim of the study is to examine economic and social efficiency of stadiums and arenas which is a significant source of revenue for professional football clubs and is to examine the economic effects of Turkish football stadiums and arenas in Turkey.

Public opinion on professional football in Europe tends to the view that the salaries of athletes are 'too high'. Existing empirical studies, as well as economic theory, suggest the opposite is true. Only a few players earn high wages, due most likely to innate characteristics of the market both on the demand and production sides. A substantial rise of salaries during the second half of the 20th century came chiefly from the introduction of TV broadcasting and the increased interest in watching sports as a form of entertainment. While the peculiar institutional setup of the labour market long contributed to the underpayment of athletes, reforms over the last several decades have improved player wages. Moreover, it is difficult to present a strong argument for limiting athletes' salaries, from the perspective either of fans or society.

The Kurds, the largest minority in Turkey, have almost no visibility in Turkish sports. While Kurdish sportspeople are not discouraged from joining in sports activities, their participation is heavily monitored by the government agencies against any manifestation of ethnic identity. Football in the Kurdish regions, seen by the Turkish state as a tool to distract Kurdish youth from political activities, has always been subject to the direct intervention of the civil and military bureaucracy, their presence in club boards is not uncommon. However, a third-division club named Amedspor, challenged all the unwritten rules related to Kurds in sports, at the expense of receiving a recurring suspension from the Turkish Football Federation. Objectives: A protocol for training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation in football is proposed. The protocol aims to train professionals in the field of football, as well as assess whether their training has been effective. The final objective is that, if necessary, they are able to carry out an intervention prior to the arrival of specialized care. Methods: The protocol is aimed at professionals in the field of football, as coaches or assistants, among others. The protocol consists of three phases: 1) Initial evaluation. 2) Training 3) Final evaluation. To obtain a positive evaluation, the participants must obtain a positive evaluation in all the evaluation criteria. Findings: It is expected that the percentage of participants with a positive evaluation after the training is significantly higher (p <0.05) than the percentage of participants with a positive evaluation before training, a result that will confirm the effectiveness of the proposed protocol for training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation in football. Conclusions: This protocol could be extrapolated to other sports and situations outside the sports field, such as shopping centers or schools.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought most forms of communication to the web. Most of those who are interested can learn about the activities of their favourite football club mainly from official websites and accounts on social networks. Due to the deepening climate crisis and the growing awareness of the society, so many people demand very detailed information about corporate environmental impact. Nowadays, a professional football club, wishing to maintain high popularity, should be focusing not only on sports results, but also on attitudes towards the environment and society it presents and promotes. The great example in that case can be top football clubs in the European league because, many other football clubs copy solutions from the best. This paper examines the 5 of top European football clubs’ activities area for the better natural environment and the way how these activities are communicated to the football fans. The main research was conducted using publicly available electronic information channels such as football clubs’ websites, reports or social media (like Facebook) accounts. The aim of the article is to indicate to what extent the functioning and reporting of leading football clubs is also subject to the principles of sustainable development in the field of the natural environment. The results can indicate the significance of the current contribution of the top European football clubs to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, as well as setting the directions of sustainable development for other football clubs in the future.

The issue of entrepreneurship in sports joins the more general trend of catching up with the long Renaissance period of “reflecting” on the character of the professional sportsman (athlete), so peculiarly overlooked, and one of the main protagonists of the culture of antiquity, alongside the artist or philosopher. The author of the article adopts the convention of the ‘corporate athlete’, for which he sees a contemporary exemplification in football, the most popular sport. The examples cited from the economic history of football, preceded by an outline of the basic categories of entrepreneurship, are an attempt to show the essence of an economic, two-way view of these issues. The description of the institutionalisation of analytics and football’s ‘information bank’, highlights the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary approach to entrepreneurship in sport. In contrast, the characterisation of the re-engineering carried out at FC Barcelona is a case of an approach that treats sport as a natural economic environment. Providing a wholesome, inspirational building block, grounding some elements of management and entrepreneurial.
