Opis:
Consumer's behaviour in the market is a widely studied and analysed problem. Complexity of social, economic and psychological determinants that influence consumer's decision process is a reason for multilevel and multi-factor approaches to analyse this problem. Therefore the aim of this paper is to describe application of parametric regression model for the effectiveness of advertising. The study described is based on a survey covering 550 consumers of dairy product, all of age over 15 and living in one of the nine biggest Polish agglomerations. Built models were examined and verified statistically. Obtained results clearly show that the approach chosen to describe AIDA model is an appropriate method for analysing impact of advertisement on consumer's decision making process.

Background. There are many methods how specialists can evaluate return of online marketing activities. Most of the methods out there are designed for versatile use, but each online marketing tool has its own unique specific metrics that should be taken into account when measuring the return of marketing activities. The Authors believe that the methods designed to evaluate online marketing activities should also be more specific. Hence, the Authors believe that more specific online marketing revenue determination methods should be proposed. Objectives. The aim of this paper is to propose a formula that can be used to evaluate the return of social media activities while taking into account different consumer purchase decision stages. Methodology. To achieve the aim of this paper, following research methods were used: theoretical literature analysis, expert surveys, grouping and statistical analysis methods. Data. The proposed formula was based on the data that was collected from theoretical literature analysis and expert surveys. Results. The main result of this paper was to propose a formula, which can calculate the return of social media activities while taking into account different consumer purchase decision stages. Main contribution of the paper. This paper offers a new approach to evaluating the return of social media activities, depending on which purchase decision process stage online marketing activity was meant to influence. This paper can be used as a basis for further research where social media activity revenue evaluation methods are discussed. Marketing specialists can use this paper as an example of how to evaluate the return of social media activities.

Opis:
Decision making is one of the biggest mysteries of human brain and behavior. Every decision is a choice that, in principle, could have gone differently. It is a fork on the road of decision making. Standing before that choice, you can choose to go one way or the other, but after you have chosen, you cannot go back. Every human being knows very well what it feels like to make a decision. But what we generally do not realize is why we make choices we make. We cannot identify the sources of our decisions. Especially when they are the everyday choices we make like as consumers. We offer in this paper the way of better understanding of decision making process using the EEG. In this paper we try to identify what happened in consumer brain during each step of decision making process.

Opis:
At the beginning of the article the authors referred to the consumer, the factors affecting his or her choices and the decision-making process. Subsequently, the factors and circumstances determining the consumer’s choice of a loan denominated in the Swiss franc (CHF) in Poland were specified. In the following section there wa presented an analysis of the value of granted CHF loans in the period from 07.2008 to 05.2022. It was assumed that the analysed group regards: a family of 2+2, i.e., two working individuals with incomes equal to 150% of a minimum wage; a loan of PLN 250,000 to be repaid over 30 years, disbursed on 1.08.2008 in one tranche, being repaid since 1.09.2008. A comparative analysis entailed three selected banks. In the summary, the authors referred to the main hypothesis: despite the knowledge of the economic conditions, the consumer possesses a lower disposable income when choosing a CHF credit, and two auxiliary hypotheses: hypothesis 1 was that home loans denominated in CHF, despite having a lower interest rate are less favourable to the borrower in the long run than the loans denominated in the Polish zloty, and hypothesis 2 was that in the process of deciding upon a bank, the consumer is guided by economic factors.

The fact that a lot of people in Poland travel by car creates a lot of different business opportunities for the retail sector. Petrol stations are among various entities that attempt to take advantage of this situation. The main purpose of this article is to identify and assess the behaviour of petrol station customers in Poland regarding their motivations for choosing particular facilities and their non-fuel purchases. The study is based on results of a CAWI survey of 603 customers. To make sure that sample was representative, its composition was controlled in terms of the following respondent variables: sex, age, size of the town of residence and province. Consumer behaviour can be affected by a number of factors but only some of them could be addressed in the study, which can be regarded as one of its biggest limitations. Nevertheless, the results provide an interesting insight on this topic. The main contributions of the study include the creation of a typology of petrol stations, identification and assessment of consumer motives for selecting a given facility and information about non-fuel purchases made by customers. The most frequent motives for selecting a given petrol station include convenient location, brand, and the price of petrol and other products. In addition to fuel, customers usually stop to buy coffee and fast food, alcoholic beverages and basic groceries. The authors discuss statistically significant differences between different types of petrol stations in the above mentioned respects. The results of the survey can be of interest to owners of petrol stations as guidance on how to adjust their marketing strategies, especially in terms of the composition of their offering.

The article presents the result of research on the influence of information about food safety management system on purchase decisions of consumers.

Customers change their preferences while getting more familiar with services or being motivated to change their buying habits. Different sources of motivation induce customers to change their behavior: an advertisement, a leader in a reference group, satisfaction from services usage and other experiences, but usually those reasons are unknown. Nevertheless, people vary in susceptibility to suggestions and innovations, and also in preference structure change dynamics. Historical information about the preference structure gives additional information about uncertainty in forecasting activity. In this work the conjoint analysis method was used to find customer preference structure and to improve a prediction accuracy of telecommunication services usage. The results have shown that prediction accuracy increases about by one percent point, what results in a 20 percent increase after using proposed algorithm modification.

Opis:
Conjoint analysis is widely used as a marketing research technique to study consumers' product preferences and simulate customer choices. It is used in designing new products, changing or repositioning existing products, evaluating the effect of price on purchase intent, and simulating market share. In this work the possibility of conjoint analysis usage in telecommunication filed is analyzed. It is used to find optimal products which could be recommended to telecommunication customers. First, a decision problem is defined. Next, the conjoint analysis method and its connections with ANOVA as well as regression techniques are presented. After that, different utility functions that represent preferences for voice, SMS, MMS and other net services usage are formulated and compared. Parameters of the proposed conjoint measures are determined by regression methods running on behavioral data, represented by artificially generated call data records. Finally, users are split in homogenous groups by segmentation techniques applied to net service utilities derived from conjoint analysis. Within those groups statistical analyses are performed to create product recommendations. The results have shown that conjoint analysis can be successfully applied by telecommunication operators in the customer preference identification process. However, further analysis should be done on real data, other data sources for customer preference identification should be explored as well.

Opis:
Due to the multiple advantages that it offers to both sellers and consumers, the digitalization of services is a process that is gaining popularity on a global scale. The aim of this research was to explore the impact of e-marketing elements related to SME products on sustainable customer behavior in the context of purchasing decisions. The expanded unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) model and the technology acceptance model (TAM) were both used to research the elements that lead to long-term behavioral changes in favor of more sustainable consumer purchasing decisions. Sustainable consumer behaviors are those that are based on trust and continuation intention (CI). The case study is based on a SME company that creates modernized versions of traditional snacks and markets them online. Researchers surveyed 122 of their customers for the survey-based statistics. The findings reveal that, out of the six factors, only 4 factors that had significant impact on trust, which are Perceived of Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Social Influence (SI), and the most significant is Hedonic Motives (HM). While, Quality Information (IQ) did not contribute to Trust. Trust (T) appears to have a substantial positive impact on the development of customer’s continuous purchase decision (CI). Age and education did not moderate the relationship between trust and CI. Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) business owners should therefore focus on Perceived Risk related variables to build greater levels of trust and capture customers’ ongoing interest. This study contributes to a body of knowledge on the e-marketing of SME items, particularly snacks, by demonstrating how CI might cause long-term behavioral changes in favor of more sustainable customer purchase decisions.
