The following paper presents selected aspects of the employment of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) during land force operations, it focuses on its capabilities and constrains. In contemporary operations land forces, mainly UAS of I and II class category, are used in ISR missions, most frequently for the tactical support (armed roles) of land forces. These activities are treated as an additional element of the improvement of situational awareness, they also strengthen fire support. The presented article is based on allied and coalition doctrinal papers associated with unmanned aircraft systems.

Opis:
In order to study the flow field characteristics of cushion system of partial air cushion support catamaran (PACSCAT) in waves, an analysis was carried out involving flexible treatment on the bow and stern air seals to simulate air seal shape under test conditions by means of computational fluid dynamics method and fluid structure interaction (FSI) method. On this basis, the pressure conditions of the air cushion chamber and the pressurized chamber at different wavelengths and different speeds are studied and compared with experimental results. The experimental results show that: for the air cushion pressure, the nonlinear characteristics of the numerical calculation results are more subtle than the experimental values, after linear transformation, the amplitudes of the experimental values are obviously greater than the calculated values after linear transformation, but the average values are not much different; At low speed of 2.0m/s, the spatial pressure distribution of the pressurized chamber and the air cushion chamber are uniformly distributed, at high speed of 3.6m/s, except for a certain pressure jump occurred in the air cushion chamber near the stern air seal, the pressure in other spaces is also evenly distributed, it proves that the pressurized chamber type of air intake can effectively meet the air cushion pressure balance.

Opis:
The main focus of this paper is the capabilities of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles as a military logistic support in conflicts areas. The conducted research addresses the problems of traditional military delivery methods. Next, the problem of using UAVs only for civilian purposes is considered. The paper begins with short elucidation of logistic support and further provides the classification of logistic materials and discusses five categories of military equipment from the logistics point of view. Next, the paper discusses the characteristics of the parameters and properties of the chosen existing UAVs that are used for the delivery of materials. Consequently, a comparison of the UAVs is carried out, and new technologies for logistic transport are presented. This paper is concluded with the claim that it is necessary to modernize the process of logistic support in the military.

Assessment and management of ambient air quality is carried out in Poland at local, regional and national level. A variety of informatics tools is increasingly being used in various areas of this issue. The paper presents the preliminary conception of an integrated system for supporting decisions undertaken by various institutions. It presents the legal, organizational and technical conditions governing this type of processes in Poland and potential users of the system, its functions, anticipated sources of the processed data and information. It has an indication of the possible technological solutions, including the potential tools and modules included in the proposed system.

The aim of the article is to analyze the impact of electromagnetic radiation of aviation electronic support systems on environmental segments and a human organism. We were looking for effects of electromagnetic radiation on inhabitants and environment in the vicinity of airport radars. We accomplished measuring and found out the level of radiation harmfulness of electromagnetic radiation sources. In the conclusion we suggest to eliminate the negative impact of electromagnetic radiation on the human organism. At the same time we present the ways how workers, performing their jobs in the vicinity of strong electromagnetic radiation source, can protect themselves in compliance with legislative of the Slovak Republic. We have proposed some possibilities of protection for workers who work close to a strong source of electromagnetic radiation.

Opis:
In this article the potential applications of GIS systems in the management of air quality are discussed. In particular two specific issues are described: determining the spatial representativeness of air quality monitoring stations and areas of standards exceedances. The methods using spatial and emission data, as well as, the results of measurements, i.e. Land Use Regression method and so-called Beta parameter method are presented. The first one is based on the regression models in which mentioned information may be treated as independent data and, as a result, we obtain information on the levels of pollutant concentrations in point and space. The second method involves the parameterization of the spatial characteristics selected on the basis of the monitoring and emission data. These methods can find practical application in the field of air quality monitoring, assessment and the preparation of a public web presentation.

The aim of this paper is to attempt to identify the main challenges faced by the Polish Armed Forces in the area of Joint Fire Support. The publication will present Joint Terminal Attack Controller’s point of view on the problems of Joint Fire Support in the Polish Armed Forces. Due to the complexity of the problem, the authors decided to limit the scope of presentation to the most visible difficulties in specific services. The views presented here result from empirical research based on participatory observations that were conducted during numerous national and international training operations organised in Poland and abroad and non-ategorised interviews with the JTACs from the Tactical Air Control Party Central Group and the Tactical Air Control Party Training Center in Military University of Aviation in Dęblin. The publication will present Joint Terminal Attack Controller’s point of view on the problems of Joint Fire Support in the Polish Armed Forces. For linguistic purposes, the terms controller and navigator were used in this text as synonyms of the JTAC acronym. Due to the complexity of the problem, the authors decided to limit the scope of presentation to the most visible difficulties in specific services. The objective of this article is to provide some guidance to perform the activities regarding to “The EGNOS country market analysis”. Such analyses are necessary during the implementation of EGONS for operational activity. The presented algorithm of proceedings was validated during conducted examinations, of aviation tests in the framework of the SHERPA project (Support ad-Hoc to Eastern Region with Pre-operational Actions on GNSS) under the Agreement Grant No. 287246 with the GSA (European GNSS Agency). Next it was admitted as the European model of conducting analyses of this type in aviation.
