Opis:
The article interprets the methodological potential of Hegel’s speculative dialectics as a possible course of spiritual evolution of the Absolute subject. The intention is towards the method, first through the very construction of the “idea of freedom” from the point of view of Logic; second, through the constitutive function of freedom and the transition of the subjective spirit into the objective spirit; third, through the unfolding of mediation in the realms of the objective spirit. This essentially substantial methodologization dissolves the theoretical space of the idea of the mediating function of freedom as an ontological principle of ethical life. In line with the paradigm of such a course, the text considers a project of speculative ethics, a project within the framework of which the methodological and ontological sublation of spiritual evolution takes place.

Opis:
The main aim of this article is to show how some philosophical concepts developed in the period of the Upanisads — the most important time for building the contextual background for further philosophical speculations — as well as to contribute to the discussion how on the base of introspective experiences formed the Upanisadic view of the world and how that view could have been adopted in Advaita thought. The topic of this article is to show the relation between two dimensions of reality; one of them is denoted by the term akṣarātman — ‘imperishable ātman’, which is related to the Absolute dimension, and the other by the term vijňānātman — ‘reasonable ātman’, which is related to the empirical perspective of reality. The term vijňānātman occurs only twice in the classical Upaniṣads. We can find it in the Praśna. This analysis follows the hermeneutical methodology. All consideration are based on the main text of the Praśna with some additional remarks to the other texts belonging to the line of the Atharvaveda, to the Mundaka and to the Māndūkya. The leading idea of the Praśna and Mundaka is the deliberation between parā (higher) and aparā vidyā (lower wisdom), and the special emphasis devoted to describing the details of yogic procedures.

Opis:
This article is an attempt to present the views of the Polish philosopher on the phenomenon of religion. L. Kołakowski devoted almost all his professional life to the issue of religion. He places the area of religious experiences and beliefs within the framework of transcendentalism, one of the basic and mutually exclusive options: “transcendentalism – empiricism”. Empiricism is the sphere of naturalistic views and contents, and their most radical representatives are empirical sciences and philosophies related to them. Kołakowski points out that there is no reason for the naturalistic option to exhaust the cognitive content. However, a philosophical attempt to go beyond naturalism in grasping the Absolute and the self, ends in metaphysical horror. Hence L. Kołakowski points to religious perception as an area that remains non-scientific but this fact does not contradict its value. A special place in L. Kołakowski’s analyses is occupied by the anthropological argument under which the biologisation of human existence is unjustified.

Opis:
Defending the ancient thesis, that being and the true, or being and manifestation, are necessarily inseparable, is at the heart of transcendental phenomenology. The transcendental “reduction” disengages the basic “natural” naïve doxastic belief which permits the world to appear as essentially indifferent to the agency of manifestation. The massive work of transcendental phenomenology is showing the agency of manifestation of “absolute consciousness.” Yet the foundations of this agency of manifestation are pervaded by issues which, when addressed, reveal that the question of a “second absolute” is basic and opens Husserlian phenomenology to metaphysical questions. This has to do not merely with the teleology of the agency of manifestation, i.e., the “whither” of the teleology of presencing, but also, in some sense, with the constituting “whence” of the transcendental I. Husserl argues for the teleology of truth pointing to both a divine subject as well as a divine entelechy.
