construction parameters - Opis:
- This article is dedicated to the possibilities of using 3D scanning method for geometric parameter measurements of protective helmets and to the development of methodology for conducting such research. The basic requirements for helmets are related to its geometrical parameters. They are determined in the laboratory during the appropriate tests, and the results are used in the certification process. The method of determining such parameters used to date is based in most cases on the use of head models, linear gauges and calipers. For this reason, a complicated shape of the helmet shell and the construction of the harness pose considerable problems. To avoid such problems, and more importantly measurement errors, the possibility of using modern 3D laser scanning technology to measure the helmet geometry was verified.
