    This paper studies a nonlinear partial differential equation known as the nonlinear longitudinal wave equation which describes the propagation of optical solitons in a magnetoelectro-elastic circular rod. Mentioned task is performed by solving this nonlinear equation using the well-designed modified Kudryashov method, producing a series of new optical solitons. The capability of the modified Kudryashov method in handling the nonlinear longitudinal wave equation in a magnetoelectro-elastic circular rod is confirmed.

    Opis:
    In this paper and for the first time, we describe and introduce a new extended direct algebraic method which is a new method for solving nonlinear partial differential equations arising in nonlinear optics and nonlinear science. By applying this method, we have constructed new solitary wave solutions for the unstable Schrödinger equation. A large family of traveling wave type exact solutions covering exponential, generalized trigonometric, rational and generalized hyperbolic functions to this equation is determined. The solutions are expressed in explicit forms.

    Opis:
    This paper studies embedded solitons that are confined to continuous spectrum, with $χ^{(2)}$ and $χ^{(3)}$ nonlinear susceptibilities. Bright and singular soliton solutions are obtained by the method of undetermined coefficients. Subsequently, the Lie symmetry analysis and mapping method retrieves additional solutions to the model such as shock waves, singular solitons, cnoidal waves, and several others. Finally, a conservation law for this model is secured through the Lie symmetry analysis.

    The parameter dynamics of solitons, propagating through optical fibers, is emerged from the usage of variational principle. The anti-cubic nonlinearity and its generalized version are studied. This study reveals that the center position does not affect the dynamics of different parameters and only soliton power and linear momentum are conserved quantities.

    Opis:
    The finite element method (FEM) is developed to simulate a discontinuous cutting in the whirlwind milling. Firstly, a simplified arc-cutting model for simulating the actual circular cutting, and a plane-cutting model for simplification were both developed and verified by experiments. Then, the effects of cutting parameters on the cutting force and residual stress were effectively investigated based on the plane-cutting model. Moreover, a plane-second- -cutting model was further developed. It showed that a minor decrease of cutting force and a higher maximum compressive stress were generated in the second cutting. Those results were conducive to predict and improve the whirlwind milling.

    Opis:
    The catalytic properties of Cobalt salen? complex in the oxidation of a lignin model compound [veratrylglycerol-β-guaiacyl-α,γ-dimethylether, VGD] have been investigated in order to obtain the mechanistic aspects of the reaction between Co(salen) and VGD under an oxygen atmosphere using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant. VGD was found to undergo structural changes in response to the catalytic reaction as characterised by different analytical techniques (FT-IR, H-1 NMR and GC-MS), yielding 2-methoxy phenol and biphenyl. A mechanism for the oxidation of VGD was postulated.
    Zbadano katalityczne właściwości kompleksu Co(Salen) w utlenianiu modelowego związku ligniny (veratrylglycerol-β-guaiacyl-α,γ-dimetyleter, VGD) w celu określenia mechanicznych aspektów reakcji pomiędzy Co(salen) i VGD w atmosferze tlenu przy zastosowaniu nadtlenku wodoru jako utleniacza. Zaobserwowano, że w VGD zaszły zmiany strukturalne w odpowiedzi na reakcję katalityczną, co przedstawiono za pomocą różnych technik analitycznych (FTIR, H-1 NMR oraz GC-MS). W efekcie otrzymano 2-metoksy fenol i bifenyl.

    Opis:
    To determine the loading conditions considering the action of both bending and torque moment for a passenger catamaran moving among waves, a method for calculating equivalent design waves under multiple load control parameters was derived based on wave load prediction results using three-dimensional potential flow theory. The method was developed by defining the wave amplitude discrepancy factors between the primary and second load of the combined bending and torquing equivalent design wave. The primary goal was to find a reasonable design wave. Finally, the design waves of a target passenger catamaran ship were calculated using the proposed method, and each load component of every design wave for the target hull was recalculated. The average error compared with the object load component was less than 1%, which verifies the effectiveness of the method and offers an effective engineering evaluation method for a catamaran.

    Opis:
    Due to the characteristics of high gas, high geothermal temperature and high strength development in Huainan mine area, thermal hazard problem has become more and more serious and also affects safety and productivity in coal mine. The CCHP (combined cooling heating and power), as a new mode to control thermal hazard, is put forward after advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of cooling methods are investigated. The CCHP method not only takes full advantage of gas but also reduces the greenhouse gas emission. At the same time, the application of CCHP remits the pressure of the power supply in summer, providing guarantee for safe and high efficiency exploitation.
    W związku z wysoką gazonośnością, wysoką temperaturą pierwotną górotworu i wysokimi wartościami zawartości metanu w kopalni Huainan zaobserwowano zagrożenia natury cieplnej, wpływające również na bezpieczeństwo i wydajność produkcji w kopalni. Po zbadaniu wad i zalet różnych metod klimatyzacji podjęto decyzję o wprowadzeniu systemu trójgeneracji jako nowego sposobu kontroli zagrożeń natury cieplnej. Metoda trójgeneracji nie tylko wykorzystuje pełen potencjał ujętego gazu, ale również pozwala obniżyć emisję gazów cieplarnianych. Zastosowanie tego systemu zmniejsza ponadto pobór energii zasilającej w porze letniej, dając gwarancję bezpiecznej i wydajnej eksploatacji kopalni.

    Objectives The authors used the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and general health questionnaire to analyze the factors influencing the mental health status and the workload of support nurses during the COVID-19 epidemic. Material and Methods The authors conducted a cross-sectional survey of 349 support nurses in April–October 2022. Using QuestionStar, a powerful online survey tool, the authors administered surveys to the participants, collected data on the mental health status and workload of support nurses, and analyzed the influencing factors based on the collected data. Results A total of 316 questionnaires were successfully collected, with an effective rate of 98.75%. The proportion of support nurses with mental health problems was 25% and the value of the NASA-TLX questionnaire was: M±SD 68.91±7.28 pts. Multi-factor analysis revealed that the number of children, family support, and nursing support location were the influencing factors of mental health status, while the multivariate analysis revealed that the presence of symptoms, nursing support location, support work type, and total 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) score were the influencing factors of the workload of support nurses. Conclusions Compared to their counterparts in the plains, nurses working in isolated plateau regions who were caring for children and lacked family support, were more likely to have mental health issues. There was a positive correlation between the changes in GHQ-12 and NASA-TLX scores of the study participants. Compared to their counterparts in the plains and the tropical regions, nurses working in plateau regions had a heavier workload. As part of the follow-up measures to prevent and treat patients impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, it is important to improve the mental health evaluation, consultation, and treatment of the support nurses to guarantee the high quality of the first-line support work.
