Opis:
In geological researches several kinds of methods are applied to discovering the natural resources. Planes, helicopters and UAVs (UnmAnned Vehicle) are used in researches in large areas. The gravity, electromagnetic and magnetic methods, which are used in geological researches, are presented in this paper. The special attention was paid to magnetic systems installed on mobile platforms. The magnetic field of the Earth obtained from mathematical model was compared to the real magnetic field in the selected part of the Baltic Sea. The results of the calculations showed that the mathematical model of the Earth’s magnetic field does not consider local magnetic anomalies. The strong local magnetic anomalies cause serious problems with detection of underwater objects. Special problems appear in the magnetic system on a helicopter, which are presented in this paper.

This paper presents software that can be used for educational purposes – teaching students to perform the analysis of electric circuits [1]. Programmes created in the SMATH system [2] make it possible to solve exercises on electric circuits and constitute an interesting tool supporting the teaching process. The fact that the students can form their own electric circuit structures, with a preview of the equations and the solutions of these calculations, offers to them an interesting learning alternative.

Opis:
The paper presents the results of the analysis of the possibility of detecting ferromagnetic objects (ships, submarines, mines, etc.) by using two scalar magnetometers. By using two magnetometers of high sensitivity (in the order of magnitude of pT/Hz0,5) placed at a distance from each other and operating in a differential system, it is possible to detect ferromagnetic objects from a distance. It is necessary to compensate for the error code to synchronize the work of the two magnetometers. Ferromagnetic object’s detection by using two magnetometers requires proper configuration of the devices.

Effect of the coherent backscattering of the conduction electrons in three-dimensional structurally disordered metals specified by the Ioffe-Regel criterion is considered within the framework of the Morgan-Howson-Šaub theory of localisation which is based on the generalised kinetic equation for the Wigner distribution function and effective medium approximation. A formula for the electrical resistivity including the weak localisation correction is expressed in terms of the dimensionless transport parameter $k_{F}l$. The asymptotic form of the formula is derived and discussed in the context of the diagrammatic approach.

One of the actors whose role is very firmly rooted in the idea of local self-government is the village leader. It performs a support function for the commune without being provided with formal authority and financial benefits and its work is subjected to very high expectations of the local community. By analyzing the literature, you will notice that there are only few publications on determinants of the village leader efficacy. Thus, the authors of the article have undertaken the task of exploring this topic further. The purpose of this article is to present the outcome of the competency workshop for village leaders and a proposal of the village leader competency model along with behavioral indicators of village leaders’ efficient operations. This article presents the theoretical basis of the competency model, methods of its identification and pointed out the specific aspect of field research in defining the competence model.

Opis:
Electrochemical processes take place in a metal object immersed into sea water even if an anticorrosive coating is applied [1]. As a result, flowing field appears around the object. There are naval mines between many other objects situated in the sea. Naval mines can be put in the seabed in order to be more difficult to detect by sonars. Such a mine is located on the line demarking two environments of different electrical conductivity. The results of a computer analysis of the influence of seabed’s electrical conductivity on the electric field’s disposition around a mine model are shown below. Also, a naval mine detection system based on the FPGA circuit is presented.

A ferromagnetic object, located in the Earth’s magnetic field, changes the distribution of that field. By measuring such disturbances it is possible to detect the object and destroy it. To conceal the object, a special winding is placed inside its ferromagnetic shell, which function is to eliminate the disturbances in the distribution of the Earth’s magnetic field. A thin walled ellipsoidal shell made of ferromagnetic material are examined as the object model. Coils are placed inside the shell and their function is to generate a magnetic field, which eliminates the effect the shell makes on the distribution of the Earth’s magnetic field in the surrounding area. Such a procedure is called magnetic masking and the winding used for this purpose is called the masking winding. The possibility of building the masking windings for the ferromagnetic ellipsoidal shell, situated in a magnetic field transverse in relation to its major axis, is also examined. Masking of a thin-walled ellipsoidal ferromagnetic object located in the longitudinal magnetic field is described in the article [1]. Investigating the possibility of masking of objects in a transverse magnetic field presented in this article will allow for a comprehensive assessment of a possibility of masking thin walled ferromagnetic objects of elongated ellipsoidal shape. The solution of Maxwell’s equations, which describe the magnetic field distribution caused by the ferromagnetic shell presence in the Earth’s magnetic field, are applied. Furthermore, the ability of selecting coils, which fully eliminate the perturbations of the magnetic field outside the shell are proven.

A steel-hulled ship in sea water produces an electric field around itself. The source of this field are electrochemical processes and ship’s cathodic protection. The analysis of the electric field around the ship is important by the reason of the ship’s identification and counter-mine protection. The paper presents a simplified model of the ship’s multisource electric field, which allows to calculate the electric field distribution in the so-called distant zone around the ship in an approximate way using a PC, during time lasting from few up to several dozen of minutes.

Opis:
In marine environment there are different types of objects, such as ships or naval mines, which should be located and identified. One of the location methods is based on the electric potential distribution measurement [1, 2], The object with an insulating or conductive casing, placed in an electric field, causes some field perturbations. For the purpose of the object location the dimensions of the area, where it is possible to determine electric field perturbations by measurement, are important. In this way one can pre-determine the extent of the system for locating and identifying objects placed in the seawater. This paper presents an analytical approach to the perturbation analysis of electric field distribution caused by a sphere and an ellipsoid placed in a uniform electric field. The distance, beyond which the uniform electric perturbations can be neglected, is determined.

The problem of spin-dependent transport of electrons through a metallic nanostructure is considered. The system consists of non-magnetic metal wire with two magnetic impurities and is connected to two ferromagnetic leads. The differential conductance is calculated by using the transfer matrix method. The spin polarization of the conductance is also obtained. It was found that this polarization is dependent on the spin configuration of magnetic impurities. This dependence can be controlled by the applied bias voltage.
