The current state of development of technology allows communication through more and more new channels. The internet and mobile phones have become the main way to communicate. Banks and other financial institutions use these new forms of communication to maintain a constant relation with their clients. Most of these new forms not only support the activity of banks, but also facilitate use of the bank’s products and services by the client. One of the most popular forms of communication with clients is by phone. At the same time, the developments in the concept of corporate social responsibility are observed and determine ethical rules for business. The rules examined in this paper relate to consumer issues, and the paper discusses some ethical aspects, such as relations with clients, fair and transparent marketing policy, market education, reliable information about the products and services and their impact on the health and safety of the customers. The aim of this study is to examine whether phone banking is perceived by clients as an ethical method of communication. The paper analyzes the ethical aspects of phone banking and also presents empirical findings on the basis of research conducted among the clients.

Opis:
Corporate social responsibility is a concept responding to climate change, environmental problems and the needs of stakeholders. Business makes an effort to act in the changing conditions, thus adapting to the expectations of the stakeholders and following the principles of sustainable economic development and social responsibility. One of the changes taking place in the current economic and social world is the change in the demographic structure of the population. The subject of the ageing population is often discussed, usually as a negative aspect in the context of changes in the pension system, health care costs or the employment conditions of older people. The principles of corporate social responsibility, such as social inclusion, anti-discrimination, and facilitating access to products and services create the basis for the development of the economy, focused on the use of the purchasing potential of older people. Thus, the perception of the demographic changes in this context becomes the ground for the formation of perspective solutions and the development of the silver economy. This model of the economy can be understood as a system which is based on adapting the production and distribution of products and services to older people. The main aim of this article is to present the challenges for companies in terms of the problems connected with an ageing population, as well as to present the main features of the concept of the silver economy in the context of corporate social responsibility. Moreover, considering the development of the silver economy, characteristics of older people as consumers should be taken into account. In this context, there are many stereotypes associated with the activities of the elderly. The article also notes the profile of potential customers of the silver economy, with a particular emphasis on the approach of the elderly to innovation, tradition and a broadly understood sense of security.

Opis:
This article pertains to the resettlement of the Carpathian Roma during Operation Vistula and their successive relocation to the Western and Northern Territories of post war Poland. The story of their displacement is absent from narratives regarding the sub-deportation social landscape in post-1947 Poland, just as there is very little information about their subsequent resettlement in the present-day Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Opis:
Purpose: The aim of this work is to present and implement social innovation management. The aim of the research is to present the expectations of rural residents in relation to the offer of new social services and their attitudes towards the proposition of farms providing care services. The activity of such farms is consistent with the concepts of social innovation. Design/methodology/approach: The analysis uses a questionnaire survey conducted in 2019 and completed by 500 farmers from all across Poland. The surveyed population consisted of farming households in Poland, representing each of the six regions (by NUTS classification). The respondents were members of farming households, most frequently the farm owners. Findings: There is little interest in setting up care farms at present, even though rural residents do recognise the needs of older people. One of the barriers to the development of this new idea is the traditional family model, in which older family members are cared for by younger, fit family members. However, if such a farm were to operate, it would be most important for it to offer professional help with health and care issues. Persons who are considering the possibility of developing their farm to include care activities would need support from the local authorities, especially financial assistance. Research limitations/implications: The sampling scheme applied, and the sufficiently large sample size met the criterion of quota representativeness for the structure of farm households in Poland in terms of subregions, as well as in terms of the gender of adult members of the surveyed households. It was not, however, a representative sample of the total adult population of rural areas. Social implications: Management of social innovations such as care farms requires identification in detail of those factors that support their implementation, as well as those that constitute barriers to their implementation. This article presents these findings in regard to entities considering the introduction of care services, as well as the potential beneficiaries of these services. Originality/value: The research is original due to the early stage of research related to the design of care farms in Poland.
